When you think of all the big players from the early 2000's that have disappeared, it's pretty incredible that these 2 are still battling for bracelets. So impressive that they have managed to keep pace with all the youngsters.
I could not say it better.
Corporate sponsors made it possible.
@@OneOut1 i think its both, without skills they wont be promoted
Lol poker is poker doesn’t matter what anybody says, the game hasn’t changed.
@@TheMartinTD That much is true. The way people look at it and how deep they look at it has evolved, but the game is the same
Negreanu’s call with the 10s is unreal. Truly world class call, makes me feel like I have no PLO skills
Lol you're not alone in that sentiment man. Holy smokes what a call.
Remember, you see what the clips want you to see. There are many times that Negreanu makes bad calls but those don't seem to show up on the highlights. You would think that guy never loses based on clips.
@@michaelwainscott2633 That’s true. I did watch the entire final table on Pokergo, and it was easily one of the best final tables I’ve seen.
Mega fishy call with One player behind and that board.. terrible but this Time it worked
Then You Never Saw a FT at PokerStars becouse even the 11 dollar turnaments have better players at FT then this one
I love how it's edited so halfway through we don't get to see how Hellmuth got to 14.5M - I'm sure he appreciates that
The title says Helmuth and Negreanu battle. They left out the third party, Jeremy Ausmus. Another great player and bracelet winner out of Colorado. Great job Jeremy!
you sound like his dad lol 😆
@@Eagle- he is his dad, plot twist
@@lb4941 no hes just a eagle
Jeff we can all read, and to your point, nobody cares man. People only want to see big names. If you had to explain who he is then that should tell you that nobody cares. Just enjoy the video man
Who is he?
This is the best I've seen Phil Hellmuth lose. Respect for that.
1. That is because RUclipsrs only put up his rants.
2. He DID start to go on one of his rants. They just cut it off before. He was mocking the winner for calling with his hand.
Watching Phil and Daniel go head up was classic. Phil is basically like Daniels older brother. Always great to watch. Think when they finally retire and become allies how much money they could roll together.
Are we just not gonna mention the commentary starting at 9:13?!?!? Almost peed myself laughing (no pun intended)
:( wish the video didnt cut off the story.
@@bobbytang9924 Spoiler... he reached into the toilet.
am i the only one who noticed the flaw in the story? not that i dont liked it
🤣🤣🤣
For those wondering why Neagranu didn't have a Straight-flush, it is because in Omaha your hand must be compiled by two of your hole cards and 3 of the river cards. Since the straight flush would have required four cards from the river, Daniel can't hit it.
thanks, I was looking for this
Thanks, was about to look that up.
@@briandraper7630 It was obvious what they meant. I know you say stuff like this to make yourself seem intelligent, but in reality it makes you seem like a 'tism riddled kid with zero interpersonal skills.
Daniel is just in another level. That call with only a pair of tens is proof he can see everyone’s cards
Or that he just can't fold a pair.
Just something near a calling station
Did you watch the cash game they had or are you just gonna ignore that?
He also loses every heads up match he plays in
He's no mike postle tho!
Title: Hellmuth & Negreanu (Epic) Battle.
Winner: That other guy.
Yeah i was kinda surprised when dan went out and then i was thinking phil was gonna win and then im like wtf haha
Congratulations Helmuth on seven final tables, a true legend!
I'm sure he would have preferred 2 final tables and 2 bracelets though!
@@JuanShanzerelli I'm sure 99.99% of the players would have preferred his results over their own.
Damn, Hellmuth was so humble in defeat there.
sarcasm? cause daniel got out?
oh nvm ur talking about the end. other comments made me think he won. ITS hilarious the winner wasn't even mentioned here.
@@JoshDoes because if they didn't mention phil and daniel, nobody would have watched
Phil was a class act. He said this night is about him not me. Cheers.
You from Chinchilla?
21:32 sick sick sick call
That’s such a bad call I don’t understand😂
It’s great call. Daniel explains why he made it on his blog.
@@tomreynolds4779 I’ll have to check it out
@@aremedyfrosty by being process oriented
pure exploit based on Phil's transparent tendencies, great read
A lot of emotions between negreanu and hellmuth. This was exciting to see. Would love to watch the whole final table.
Never gets old watchin this duo duke it out. Despite all the history and emotions, they maintain a friendly rivalry. Great to see.
@@st1LeOG I don't think they've ever been 'rivals' in that sense. No malice at all from what I have seen anyway.
@@RenewedRS Daniel said a few not so friendly words on the way Hellmuth plays heads up no limit hold em. Something about not studying the new ways of poker. Hellmuth took offence a little but obviously Hellmuth is still a recon to deal with. Helmuth and Negreanu still remain very close friends on and off the poker table.
I've always said this. They are like brothers tbh. They may argue, they may joke around and raz each other, but they like each other at the end of the day and respect each other.
@@RenewedRS you havent seen enough then/too naive to notice
This was absolutely great fun to watch. Thank you RUclips for putting this gem in my feed. Made my day!
I am loving how emotive Daniel and Phil are when they win the big hands here 😊
Hellmuth is the absolute GOAT in Tournament Play. No one else comes close.
In Cash games, he is no where near the top.
Stu Ungar greatest tournament player ever
Phil is fantastic in wide common man tournies like the main and WSOP stuff. When you get into the nosebleeds and super high roller stuff, he falls off
@@bentonja668 haven't heard that name in quite some time. Legend
No he doesn't. He had a great series. 2nd in the HoRse higj roller 2nd in the PLO high roller.
@@bentonja668 Stu was sensational. His reign was brief because he was a drug addict. A Goat needs to have longevity and remain great. Thats Hellmuth.
15:38 sick hero call
Why is everyone happy except Daniel? Lolol
The older Hellmuth gets, the more he looks like Mike the Mouth.
Not bald. Doesn't have a back neck moustache and not in a wheelchair not sure how they look alike

They're actually the same person, he's been multi accounting irl this whole time.
Hellmuth doing great with the beat at the end. Love that he didn't ridicule him too hard when he was upset.
9:48 one of the truly great modern poker stories!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻😂
Petersen at the table = tilt factory
Hellmuth and Negreanu are two of my four on poker Mount Rushmore. I appreciate seeing these titans battle. I'm just thankful i'm alive to witness this. This is awesome.
Whose the other two?
Doyle Brunson, Amarillo Slim, Phil Hellmuth, and then a toss up between Phil Ivey/Daniel Negreanu/Johnny Moss
It's Doyle, the 2 Phils, and Daniel for me.
I agree!
I’m Doyle, Hellmuth, Negreanu and Ivey.
great seeing it live, was there in person with my buddy. Got to see some historic moments
Yeah, I think I saw you guys there. It was definitely fun times.
What an insane call that was with the T by Daniel!! Might be the best PLO call I've seen irl. I called correctly with K high online once, but it wasn't the final table of a $50k at the WSOP lol
Haven't watched poker on over a decade... With that said Daniel's hair grew back in that time! 😁😁
Lol dropping the chips in the bathroom story is hilarious
24:57 most satisfying moment
Love love love Daniel Negreanu-keep posting him and you’ll get all the love and likes you need
People love to see Phil get a bad beat but he's literally one of the greats. Winning his first world series as a kid basically.
Think most people respect his ability to play cards he just cries to much about hands which annoys people
When the $2000 fell in the toilet. You must of been on a flush draw.
*slow clap*
Booooo
Hellmuth's interview sum up his feelings pretty nicely
Amazing year for him. Gotta respect the consistency👌
@@pseudonayme7717 True, 7Ft in one series is unheard of. And I think 18 cashes - incredible.
I was kind of sad to know he missed his 17th bracelet here tbh
Also, those who say Hellmuth can't beat reggy fields with pros, this was an HR event 50k buyin with only 85 entries, so....
I just pooped
Phil getting classier every year.. by the time he's Doyle's age, he might be just as respectable
Image being Ausmus against those 2. I personally would be happy af but he was probably nervous af. Also 22:15 what a hero call holy crap.
Haha, the chips in the toilet story cracked me up!
I'm gaining more respect for Phil as time goes on. You can tell he's doing it for the bracelet, not the money.
Bro the fact he is still playing just to win a bracelet tells how egocentric is he. The most of the ppl who plays poker dreams to make 1, 2 or 3 millions dollars and change their life, so, after make 20 millions what is his motivation? i tell you, is EGO. Negreanu, Ivey and all this millionaires nowadays plays just for ego. Tony G went to cyprus and won the triton super high roller series just to scream louder "im the best". So, i dont respect egocentric people.
@@vladimiroriveratovar6687 I disagree, he's driven to be the best. That's what a competitive mentality does. That fact that he isn't doing it for the money anymore speaks volumes about his character. Egocentric is someone that just thinks of himself, without regard to the feelings or desires of others, aka self-centered. The interviewer wanted to keep talking about him, Phil made it about the winner and stepped away.
@@vladimiroriveratovar6687 Why make only 2 milions when you can make dozens? Some people just don't stop working when they make it.
@@vladimiroriveratovar6687 egocentric? Wanting to win bracelets has nothing to do with egocentric. Know what a word means before using it. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to prove you are one of the best by winning. How you act after you prove you are the best can be super obnoxious, rubbing it in everyone's face is of course ugly. But there is nothing bad and/or egocentric about going for the win.
@@vladimiroriveratovar6687 So it's ego to stay at the top of the game, wanting to compete with the best in the game you love?
That toilet story was incredible
Time stamp?
These two are the last legends still fighting it out on TV together. Ivy and Tony G are now more on their „own“ journeys and not in the main main events.
Petersen was so drunk lol
Also, I was on the edge of my seat listening to the dirty water chip story!
Imagine 7 final tables in one series and you say you'll be depressed for a year when you finish 2nd😮
Beating out two legends of the game to win a bracelet, Is a epic way to win.
You should do a "funniest moments" highlight thing from this final table. One of the most entertaining pieces of poker content in years.
17:46- D Neg and Hellmuth are LITERALLY the roadrunner and coyote omg AAHAH
Daniels call with the 10’s is LEGENDARY
Thanks for the info below , , understand Omaha now , , can only play with any 2 dealt to you , , I haven't watched much Omaha but it looks more exciting than holdem
Awesome video! Just wish Ali and Ashby wouldn’t talk over the players in big moments. They’re mic’d up so we can hear them, let ‘em have a bit more air time in the big pots!
Very gracious by Phil good job man your the best
25:15
Phil: *YES! Let the best hand hold up bOyZ*
Daniel: *pppfggtt*
Actually the best hand didn't hold up. It lost to the turn and then it Sucked Out on the river.
@@kurth5597 It's just exactly what they said.
Great game.
We now take you back to our table of national stereotypes
All around great final table
Whoever wins this is my new favorite.
You know this event was over 2 days ago right?
You know you could've watched this on dnegs channel days ago lol like the bandwagon jump though
Jeremy Ausmus has a new fan then
It's beginning to look a lot like Ausmus!
Best call I've ever seen and amazing class by Phil to make it about the winner.
Congratulations
where I can watch these streams?
I'm sad this video cut off the middle of the announcers story about dropping the $1000 chips in the automatic flushing toilet😂. Sounds like he got them out somehow without it flushing lol.😂😂😂
When Phil is classy, Phil is really classy
Congrats tournament GOAT
Everyone so focused on hellmuth and Daniel while ausmus slowly chipping up through out
What a great final table
I love how while even winning almost 750k, Hellmuth is STILL looking for ways to improve his game. Obviously with these antics, it's easy to earn the title ""Poker Brat," but it is what it is. More than a Winner's mindset. That's a Champion's Attitude towards anything not 1st place.
I love poker but can I ask.. say I get dealt a bad hand and fold. can you throw in the cards showing or facing up? I mean I already folded it.
I know little about this form of poker.
Looks like you have to use 2 of your hole cards and 3 of the community cards for your best hand. Correct?
I’m never ever folding to a guy wearing a Gucci sweater
"If it's round I call"
I dont understand the endresult at the 5:40 play. Why didnt the straight flush count? Why did the computer count the 3 7 8 9 10 insted of the 6 7 8 9 10 ? can u only use 3 table cards in omaha?
have not been to the poker game for a few years,so seeing this 4 cards game to each player is new to me. Could anyone give me a short updat if the game is any differt than a 2 card game ?
phil my man always in line and perfectly humble haha
Is that Joe Pera in the booth with Ali? LOL 😆
What a great night of poker.
Thank you for uploading this content for free! Much appreciated @PokerGO
As much as I don’t like Phil, I respect his skills in this game. A living legend in my lifetime.
Interesting to see all the comments complimenting Phil's behavior. He literally ridiculed his opponent's raise as he was shaking his hand there at the end. He can't change who he is.
If it had an automatic flusher how was the toilet full of someone else’s piss? He just wanted to sound like a big shot with a bunch of money in his pocket.
THE LEGENDARY BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, a glimmer of sportmanship from Phil at the end. Also, Mouth you look even douchier than normal with a shaved head and dyed beard.
He has lots of respect for Negreanu and Ausmus
Did somebody steal Phil’s luggage or something? Bro’s rocking the dad tracksuit, non matching 😂
When was it?
Daniel's blinking went on overload when Phil told him he had the straight.
Daniel throws a chair, usually calm but this is as animated as I've seen him.
That toilet story had me in tears
Q of spades thats really cool, love this game!
Da poker brake n Daniel r legendary players . Here . Wow da winner is legendary here. Wow
Man the minute Petersen started talking, Daniel must have been dancing inside 😂😂😂
😂😂 the story that was told during this… omg lol
calling 1.4m with a pair of tens was an amazing read by daniel, he was made to play poker.
Phil called the melt down just forgot the temper tantrum chair flip lmao
Do they pick the best 2 cards out of their 4 cards on hand?
That was on helluva of a match.
Why doesn’t Bujtas have a flush draw at 4:00? Do you get to use all your cards but only pick two at the end, or is it at the very beginning you choose what two you’ll use?
"Let's make this about (no spoiler)". Very humble and decent.
How does flush work in this game?
That story about the chips in the toilet was, uh, unexpected
That hero call by DNegs with 10s... legendary.
I need to sleep in 5 minutes but im sure I can squeaze in this quick video
Honey, he raised me with A285
New phrase of the year
It's amazing how Hellmuth is still on top!
Nice call Daniël!!
It would be nice to see Hellmuth win another main event but it wasn’t meant to be :)
As gracious in defeat as I have ever seen Phil Helmuth.
It’s because it was only a minor event and he lost to an equal. Half of the brat stuff is an act for the main event back in the day when it was shown on mainstream tv.
