Depends on the use of this kind of tech.
It's a wonderful tool for those hard of hearing, who has trouble focusing on a single conversation in a crowd.
But this tech can also be abused. Espionage, privacy violations, etc.
What new technology couldn't you say exactly the same thing about? Every technology is open to abuse and for benefit.
