Nick just speaks truth. He's like a good friend
true !
Yea you want this instead of the youtubers like busyworks bs with zero xp posing as producers
Shouldve just put drip on the master, 2 clicks and it's perfect
nah, he should've just used unison midi chord pack
@@ahdumh the midi pack? THE midi pack
@@JAM1LD3R yes
To be fair if I had that 10 yrs ago I’d be a zillionaire
@@PuertoRicanPretto 😂
Boy, that CPU was working. Sounds like a airport runway
😂😂😂😂😂. My MacBook does the same shit
He is speaking facts tho, the avrage listener doesent hear the difference between a perfect mix and an avrage one. A good song blows up regardless of mix
Bro a mix can definitely make or break a song, just saying.
I dont know about "regardless of mix" if you mean a average/decent mix blowing up compared to a perfect mix then facts
@@brum4366 yeah yeah, I meant avrage/decent. If the mix is trash it has no chace to blow up.
@@thelonelybluewhale1458 check ta2cutes cult classic, the mix is terrible on it but it did get popular 😭😭😭😭
In what other profession can you get the best in the world to just sit down and chop it up with you and teach!?!?!? Seriously. I love this kid and this entire community for constantly sharing knowledge and caring about the craft.
Word!
this dude is legend. No matter hsi successes, he still comes back to the people..
Damn love how nick is so selfless with his knowledge after all of the years.
He’s not too selfless .. he still be hiding his drums and packs in the browser lmao
yeah I mean look at OZ as comparison he would rather cut off one leg than share knowledge
@@RichHustle ofc I mean magician keep his secrets we all don't want millions of nick miras on web
@@animeariif5966 its already carbon copies running around here .. you dont need specific kits to sound like somebody .. him putting out tutorials and cook ups is all niggas need to see to mock and sound like .. that doesnt change with kits or not, especially when all the kits are using recylced sounds anyway
@@RichHustle So how u explain that he hides his drum kits he's using?
I feel like I’ve known Nick personally since I was young
Bro there is no point of hiding something coz it wont make him better if he does so. Being selfless is the only way to have fun with what we do
I see a lot of producers saying “WORK ON YOUR MIX!” and stuff like that ... man now I see it’s not all about that . I got a whole different vision about mixing but now it’s good :)
You have to work on your mixs but Nick Mira shows here that it's not black magic or smth
I learned from listening to Travis Scott's music that mixing isn't really that important as long as sound selection is good and the mix isn't stupid. It just doesn't have to be perfectly tweaked like most people make it seem
@@Butters_Stotch_187 for real. The kits that we used already processed million times. So most of the time, we don't have to put the crazy work there. Seeing tumay mixes really open my eye tbh. He used only a few plugin lmaoo
Butters U learned about mixing not being important listening to Mile Dean records? Sheesh....
Ryan Lintner bro there's an Interview with mike dean where he's talking about how all of Travis' music is at like 4db. And listen to stargazing, all the clipping and that stupidly loud snare. It just made me realize that as long as sound selection is good, no need to put all these eq's and effects to make it sound levelled or "perfect" in the mix
I'm really envious of the fact he can stay there in the studio doing music all day without any other thing to tink about. He got money and fame and all, no concern for the future, just livin life.
God one can fucking dream
Yhea thats what u see but u dont know man haha theres always new struggles
The grass always looks greener on the other side, until you get there and you realize the grass isn't quite as green as it appeared to be. I mean I'm sure he has people that manage a lot of the business side if things for him. But you gotta be on high alert for people trying to screw you when there's big money flying around like that. You also have the pressure from friends and relatives wanting handouts. People start to think you're way wealthier than you actually are, not understanding that a lot of the money you do make has to be reinvested and uncle sam is taking bigger cuts now because your income is higher. Those are just a few things. It's not as carefree as it appears on your phone when you're watching him. It's constant work and constant thinking about everything. when you're making big money like that one little mistake could cost you everything you have and then some. And all those people you looked out for probably won't be there to help pick you back up. Just some things to think about. There's a lot to be learned from seeing what happened to other artists and businessmen/women that fell off. We like to think that if we make it we'll never lose it. But that's quite often not the case.
If you haven't watched it yet, and I mean anyone who reads my comment, I highly suggest checking out the recent interview Dame Ritter just did with Hopsin. It goes in depth on what happened with Funk Volume. Lots of valuable lessons to be learned.
Good luck everyone! Make 2021 your year!🎶🤑

When they say "it's just a job" 👀
I'd love my music to go viral but the fame I'd rather stay underground.
1) bring up 808 under 0dB with some headroom
2) bring in clap not too loud or quiet but around the same as 808
3) bring in hats to taste, usually a little quieter than clap and 808
4) tuck percs in the background
5) make the kick a bit louder than 808
6) bring the melody in
7) put limiter on master fader, raise the gain until it sounds crushed then pull it right back, don’t go over 0dB
2:43 that was so satisfying

Everyone being shit like omg I needed this 😍 like bruh what yall mean? It aint no secret just mix how you like it ffs
Exactly like damn
yeah that may be true but some ppl need some basic outline on how to make it sound decent, like fuck i remember my own mixes when i started 🤣🤣
@Carl Nygaard You've been producing for a year and didn't know that you need a limiter on the master to make it louder?
@young kid beats bruh I knew how to mix after like a month that’s tuff bro🤣
It's only wrong if it sounds bad. Best advice I ever got.
"no how to, but how you" i love you nick

This video is pure gold🔥
yessirrrrr
What is gold in this video? There are 10000 videos out since years that shows the same stuff 😂 he didnt even put his kick and 808 in mono

@@gastarbeiter8384 and the beat still sound better than any of yours
@@gastarbeiter8384 this boy hating on a certified diamond producer XDDDDDD
Good to know people just hop on the mp3. I was thinking of the stems &details too much
this is pure truth, ppl overthink the mix too much. I used audacity and the effects that came with it to produce a song for my friend on soundcloud that has 130k plays and counting to this day (the mp3 on there is low quality too lol and ppl still f with it), dont let anyone tell you your mix isn’t perfect. you could sit there for days trying to make it perfect, but good enough will suffice. if it sounds good it is good
Wow this just completely changed my beats fucking goat! My 808 always drowned out my mix but now my mix is so much better, jeeeez Mira touch
Honestly ! The best way to get a cool mix is simply ! Don't make a lot of plugins ! This is why learned from 1 year of making beats
Depends on the sounds you use. But facts bro
Can u do some advance mix tutorial? Your beats always hiting
as a producer with almost no streams, ill trust the guy with over a billion all day.
Felt like I was watching the IM Channel.... Good Times :')
Them good ole days 😔
he literally just fucking spit facts for 13 minutes straight
No le entiendo un pingo, pero como aprendo con este enfermoooOOa
nick was mad that we all thought this would be so much more in depth lol
i clean my 808's or any other sounds using 4 eq's and a maximus....Just solo the sound in maximus U want to clean and then use eq. one by one....one eq. for low end one for mid and one for high...and the fouth one for overall sauce....i found this trick useful
Why are you even cleaning your 808’s with that many eq’s, let alone at all. If you make your own 808 then yea. But your 99% going to be using a 808 from a kit. And their already super compressed and effected.
@@aubry980 because i use raw sounds..thats y bro
this guy is a music genious
Nice tutorial bro
The whos hating part😂 thanks for the 🎮 #salute

ITALYY IN THE CHAT 🔊🔥
This is the secret key
To everyone in this comment section, listen and learn his skills, but dont copy his STYLE. His unique style is what makes him such an amazing producer, not so much the skill (although he is a genius)
Lmfao his style isnt even unique
@@Losbabyy it is
@@Losbabyy it isn’t unique anymore but he created this whole entire wave, lol so
@@corylucas120 i beg to differ lmfao
Bro keep up the work you’ll be famous soon I’m sure of it!
After the mixing that the producer does, is there always a professional mastering engineer that masters the track. Like right now during the mixing process the 808 isnt wide and full for example and than when the song is released it is always wider and fuller.
For big artists like 99.999% of the time yes because the vocals need to be mixed
Anyone have general mixing levels for how nick mira mixes his drums? Like where the 808 sits in comparison to the clap, and where the drums sit in comparison to the melody, etc.
10:54 Did he just sneeze on beat
This proves that he was born to be a producer

"Mixing in the sequencer" aka gain staging is probably one of the most important steps.
Gain staging is 75 percent of a mix.
