    1) bring up 808 under 0dB with some headroom
    2) bring in clap not too loud or quiet but around the same as 808
    3) bring in hats to taste, usually a little quieter than clap and 808
    4) tuck percs in the background
    5) make the kick a bit louder than 808
    6) bring the melody in
    7) put limiter on master fader, raise the gain until it sounds crushed then pull it right back, don’t go over 0dB

      The grass always looks greener on the other side, until you get there and you realize the grass isn't quite as green as it appeared to be. I mean I'm sure he has people that manage a lot of the business side if things for him. But you gotta be on high alert for people trying to screw you when there's big money flying around like that. You also have the pressure from friends and relatives wanting handouts. People start to think you're way wealthier than you actually are, not understanding that a lot of the money you do make has to be reinvested and uncle sam is taking bigger cuts now because your income is higher. Those are just a few things. It's not as carefree as it appears on your phone when you're watching him. It's constant work and constant thinking about everything. when you're making big money like that one little mistake could cost you everything you have and then some. And all those people you looked out for probably won't be there to help pick you back up. Just some things to think about. There's a lot to be learned from seeing what happened to other artists and businessmen/women that fell off. We like to think that if we make it we'll never lose it. But that's quite often not the case.
      If you haven't watched it yet, and I mean anyone who reads my comment, I highly suggest checking out the recent interview Dame Ritter just did with Hopsin. It goes in depth on what happened with Funk Volume. Lots of valuable lessons to be learned.
      Good luck everyone! Make 2021 your year!🎶🤑

      yeah, everyone on the original stream kept saying that it sounded like shit, i was on the stream and the 808 was destroying my ears, and tbh properly mixing the beats is a game changer, that’s why producers like metro boomin are ALWAYS at the top.

      @suxgegaming 3 года назад +1

      yh i get what you mean but keep in mind nick mira has been making beats for a long ass time my dude has platinum records under his belt. He definitely knows its clipping maybe he has a style

    • @cytocache1238
      @cytocache1238 3 года назад +2

      @@suxgegaming he may have plats but it don’t mean the sound quality is high fidelity(in terms of digital clipping). A lot of the trap producers like clipping the beats cause it “sounds better” cause it’s louder when they throw the limiter on it, and therefore the beats stays at 0 db; it’s not always that linear when you send the beat to a mastering or mixing engineer tho. He does mention that he has to turn down the beats in protools tho and he has a point, go by the ears, you don’t even need to see the dbs meter to set the volume right (unless it’s clipping). To add to that, trap drums are set in certain areas on the sonic spectrum so that it’s easier to mix because the kick is low, the hat is high, the percs and snare are mids. It’s least common denominator drums because they sound good already and fit well together.
