In this episode we are going to the first annual 2024 Southeastern HDT Rally in Auburndale, Florida hosted at Camp Margaritaville Resort. We are going to be joining one of our good friends "The Mayor" of Camp Margaritaville and bring you 29 of the Biggest HDT's in the RV Industry. Join us we have some fun and tour these huge trucks and hear from the owners themselves. We also jump in the driver's seat and take one of these massive trucks for a drive. Let's get ready to rumble and have some fun!

I saw a HDT setup from Canada driving down I-35 near New Braunfels TX yesterday. GD Solitude, HDT with a Smart car and Cam Am Spider onboard. Beautiful setup!
Pam I am so jealous I only got to sit in my brother’s truck, I said before he drove his whole life. I will tell Pam you are definitely a good sport and team player, your girls are definitely lucky to have you two as role models. I truly loved this video and the memories it brought of an awesome and missed brother.

Some of these screen monitors would fail yearly inspections here in the UK mainly because its law to have a clear screen with zero obstruction, Mercedes gets around this fact by moumting oblong monitors on the pillar posts each side which acts in a similar way to mirror vision each side. On your presentation did i see mr truck bed converter Mr Meyer (i think his name is ) a very interesting guy to chat to.
You should post the models of the trucks. It would shock some folks to learn the cost, i.e. how inexpensive some of them are.
Sometimes we get rushed and forget things in our videos. 😀 We were absolutely surprised how affordable they are. Definitely a great choice for any 5th Wheel over 20K pounds. Much safer.

What does HDT and MDT stand for? I assume it's Heavy/Medium Duty Truck. What is the licensing requirement to drive them? I assume there is no CDL required since they are personal RVs. Do they have to pull in at weigh stations? Again, I assume not since they are private RVs. Thanks.
18 states require a Non-CDL-A license;check with your state DMV . No you don’t have to stop at the weight stations. Yes you are correct Heavy duty truck and Medium duty truck.

LOL. Not that soon. But we have a lot of RVing to do, so we will keep “Discovering”. 😀
Do you need a CDL for these trucks?
That's dependent on what state you register/license in. Most states do not require since it's a Private / Not for Hire RV rig.

I’m sorry guys but I don’t want all those massive trucks running by me while I’m paying big bucks to stay there. I drove long haul for years, including coast-to-coast team running pulling doubles for Old Dominion; so it’s not like I have a problem with big rigs.
