With this shrub you can also make a vinegrete for salads. I use Raspberry shrub with a bit mustard, honey, parsley, salt, pepper and olive oil. Great for mixed Salads. Greetings from Bavaria Germany 🤗
I've tried several kinds of shrubs now. I like most of them. But, if you have friends that are new to shrubs, start with a mixed berry or strawberry shrub.
"shrubs", or more accurately "SHRUBS", is an acronym that stands for "Simple Hybrid of Real fruit Using Bottled vinegar and Sugar". Kind of a clumsy acronym but it's a lot easier to say than "shorfubsas", which is what the original creator, William Shrub(coincidentally named), insisted they be referred to as when he invented them back in 1893 as a cure for certain types of maladies, including malaria. Unfortunately Mr. Shrub passed away due to complications of malaria later that year after refusing medical treatment.
Thanks for giving us proportions and measurements for the sugar and vinegar or even the fruit!!! Thanks for nothing!! Watching other vinegars that consider this.
