How is the flat band compare to a round band as far as durability and accuritcy wise?
@@9011combo flats are more accurate but do not last as long as the tubular bands.

They are really great for the price.
When you hit the forst can, we said wow at exactly the same time with exactly the same tone. Thats an impresive first shot
Mark, I got a bucket full of catapults already.
Fact is, the price of a catapult matters little when the shooter can not hit a barn door from 3 feet.
For fun, I ordered from AliExpress frame 5 Euros. Boy oh boy, that was a shock, when it arrived. OUTSTANDING FIT, superb quality, service excellent by EXPRESS DELIVERY and tell you what mate, instantly became my favorite. Came with a fantastic laser, and other goodies.
SHOWS that catapult does not need to cost $120.00 plus postage.
FRAME is so PERFECTLY molded, incredible shooter. Tried single, added doubles, and boy oh boy, screaming speed, and makes hole in 1/2" plywood. Now that was lucky the gem of the find.
Not often I get excited by slingshot. This one is an exception.

Thanks man. I truly believe slingshots are like shoes. If it doesn't fit it won't perform well. Once you find the fork width, style of tips you like and the grip that feels the most comfortable. It doesn't matter what the frame costs as long as it fits. Just be careful some cheap frames are poorly built. Like my first slingshot review. It shoots fantastic but the clips are backwards. And if a bolt ever breaks you will get the clip in the face.

Yes a nice unit got one for 9 bucks. I removed the Naugahyde and stuffing. So it's all stainless steel now not aluminum. I'll probably cover the handle and make a magnet opening for BBs. Use lighter rubbers. Very happy with this simple design fits better in the pocket without the filler.

It's so simple, cheap and holds well really worth it.

Don`t use alluminum on band directly ... Use some soft leather to hold the bands and then tighten the clamps.
I haven't had any trouble with bands breaking at the fork. All the failures I've had were near the pouch.
Hello if been doubling the ends of my bands so dont RIP on metal leather is good idea
I have had no problems with the bands breaking at the forks. I just stick the bands in the clips and tighten them up with no problem. You can do it if you want but I don't believe it is necessary.

Super amazing i like it amazing slingshot
i bought a wooden kasune slingshot for 12 dollars on amazon. Is that a good brand? It shoots really hard and seems pretty accurate. I like how the wood is smooth and can slide right into my waistband as i ride my bike around jacksonville (high crime city so i like to have some sort of self defense)
I have never heard of that brand before. The price doesn't matter. I have slingshots that I made out of tree branches that shoot as well as $200 slingshots. If it is working for you then keep shooting it.
Do you twist the pouch for ott slingshot?
I only twist the pouch when shooting 3/4 butterfly
Bro I am new to this hobby n sport I got my wasp slingshot a couple months ago I been shooting it alot in ott set up on the universal frame at first I didn't twist the pouch with no problems then I changed my light bands to powerful gzk green .72 bands and then when I shot with out twisting pouch I don't know what happened it felt like an uneven band protraction or release and the 9.5 steel bb flew to my ceiling then ricochet all around my room I lucky it not smash my window so I was cautious from that point and started go watch coaching videos etc I know that pickle fork shooter always twist pouch to clear the frame but I didn't know that ott was meant to twist the pouch I watch many shooter many of them seem like they don't twist pouch etc but when ever my bands are powerful and I am concerned about my windows getting damage to be safe i twist the pouch on ott set up .....I hope this helps you etc I am not an expert like these awesome slingshot guys but I hope this helps you....I would still research watch as many videos about shooting ott obv Canadian A.T.O is expert and test many catty n does various test n videos listen to him also catapult carnage is a good channel they are all great channels also gamekeeper John these guys are experts and have won titles in there country or been shooting accurately for years.....I am looking into switching over to try shoot ttf because it sesms lime you can be more accurate aiming using aiming dimp right down the centre of the band etc so put your reference point t bang on your target adjust your anchor point to what you already know works for u then boom gentle release your pouch on the outward breath relaxing all the way just like pulling the trigger on a rifle etc PEACE from the uk
@@dalroache yeah I've been shooting ttf for about 20 years. Ott has always been a bad experience for me. If I don't twist the pouch then I almost always either hit the fork or will have a wild release. When twisting the pouch, I try to line the corner of the top fork up with the target and it's literally hit or miss. I Never hit the forks or have wild releases when twisting though. I do prefer heavy bands. I shoot with a scout or an axiom usually.

Great video brother.. in the uk on AMAZON this slingshot is very similar to one called the CUHSPOL catapult I must say it look well worth the money it's not that expensive in the uk it's cheap and has 5 star rating on Amazon....reminds me of the gzk hammer obv I know the gzk hammer is dif but still reminds me of that's all stay blessed all my top shotta friends PEACE
It really is a fun frame to shoot. The old model I have the clips were designed on the wrong side. Just have to be sure you use light bands and buy good quality replacement bolts.

When your pulling back there is a 90 degree twist in the band. Easily put right Bro. You be lot smoother then.

Couple slight variations of suppliers, my wife and I both have a style like these @ $12 each, they are a tremendous value to get into the game.
They really are. I have seen a few different models aswell. I have also seen an add where one of the companies stold my video to sell their product on Instagram. Lol funny how that works.

Hi Bro. Take a look at an English video call. The gamekeeper. Making high performance band. Study close. I think you will see the subtle difference that will make your slingshot to shoot smoother. Hope this helps. Wayne.
Hey man thanks for the tips. I am a self taught guy. I used my archery and rifle shooting as a base for slingshot. Never had anybody show me a proper setup or how to shoot correctly but managed to get pretty decent with one somehow. I will look into that video. Thanks again man.
Those bands are also really long for his draw length.

How long to bands last , and how often is a good time to change them , does it matter the name brand or stretch ?
Yes some brands last longer than others. And it really depends on how you tune your bands. If you don't stretch them to the max you shouldn't have a problem and you can expect to take 500+ shots with them. I tend to change my bands when I see a tear starting to form or nicks in the edge on the band.

We have one and they are very powerful but I have found the setup a little finicky and unreliable.

Do you have the issue of the sight damaging the bands prematurely?
nope never! the clips that attach the bands to the fork are fine too. I have 4 other slingshots with different sights and never had a problem.

I wanted to see what ammo you are using? Which bands did you put on, i think they are 2 different strength? How is the sheet for catching the balls ?
I see the BBQ just get something cooking, a couple buddies, some fresh cold cans to empty & have fun.. A couple sessions and you'll be shooting from the hip.
I was using a 3/8 ball berring the bands I put on were the ones that came with the slingshot. The sheet stops them deadas long as you leave it loose at the bottom. I like your style man. A couple steaks, a few nice IPA's and start letting them rip. I have heard people talk crap about these but for under $15 Canadian they are awesome! I want to get my hands on some serious bands and see how this little monster does!
@@AdventureTimeOutdoors i believe they gave you light & heavy. I have a problem getting the rubber tubes, i have a wire type slingshot, i used to mess around inside the house, shooting pills that didn't work for me, into the open side of a can of corn.. If you only cut the lid 3/4 , you cand fold it like 45° leave it on its side, open side facing me, bent lid on top.. I could put 3 in a row onside the can.. Great fun. Pills knuckle like a bastard it's not as easy as it sounds. But can't break anything inside.
Got that one in my collection Mark, and it is a good fun shooter.

It's not "wrist rocket" science. Many kids of the good old days of the USA made them from a tree crotch and carried them as shooting toys, just like the cartoon, "Dennis the menace".

Brother Broseph! I didnt know you knew about this channel! if you are going to get a new slingshot for you I would check out GZK or simple shot. both companies have great frames. I have 2 from GZK (the hammer pro OTT and TTF) and 2 from simpleshot the scout LT and the ocularis. I dont care for the ocularis but I highly reccomend the scout LT. I have some videos with all except the ocularis. I'm not a fan.

When you attack the sights you don't want to pull your bands over them. And the clips only go one way.

This is 1 design I just can not shoot brother,?, Im new but nothing as good as you pal, Ive had some luck with the Chinese Scout, and EVO Goblet, but for me,? this design it just does not feel comfortable,, also if you look at the forks OTT, which I only shoot atm, the bands do not go over the forks like they should For me it feels better the bump being on outside than inside of palm. I only have small hands, and it does not feel right for me,??, OTT should come right over,??. Anyway I just ordered WASP FTC, and some more Chinese rip offs from ALI EX, the TORQUE and Axium Ocularis, for about £7.00 Pounds each,. How do you even aim with them rounded tips man,??
Rounded tips are tuff for me but the real ocularis has little grooves in them that help with the aim. The ocularis was not for me so I gave it away.

3/8" would be find for small game hunting birds and squirrels. Beyond that I dont know.

Which bands are stronger
If you are looking for great bands I highly highly reccomend GZK, or precise. You can find them at Dankung or GZK.
Can you hunt with that
I'm sure you could with the right ammo and bands. With the cheap bands it comes with would kill a bird with a head shot for sure and possibly a squirrel but with proper bands I'm sure you could collect some game with this sling shot. It is very accurate!

The messed up Blue band could be for TTF set up as band sets are different for each style of shooting
Ya I found it wierd that they would send bands like that for this frame considering it is only an out shooter.
For the price i think they just give you anything tbf
The bands need to be at 90 degrees to what they are. If the bands go on top, then the band should be flat all the way back to the pouch. Just redo the bands at the pouch.

@@ianpearce78 Hi Ian. The beginning of this video has the assembly of the slingshot. There are many versions of this frame out there and the tips may be slightly different.
Bands that it came with are garbage?? Pouches are way small. Up in air on slingshot still. Ending up getting a few of them from “Simpleshot”. Scout and Hammer XT / LT. 🎯🎯🎯
The scout lt is one of the 2 best production frames out there in my opinion.
Gutted, they are almost 3 times the price on amazon in the UK. I'll keep saving and get a ppmg+ from gamekeeper john instead

Sure. Why not! People hunt with Y-sticks with bands attached to them. It all depends on how your bands are tuned and how you shoot with the frame.

Jaime Perez hey man I will try and help. Stand in front of a mirrors you can see your form from the side. Hold your sling shot out with one post over the other so the back of your hand is pointing up. Pull the bands back like you are going to shoot. You will want to see a perfect V. You may need to adjust your anchor point with your release hand to get it perfectly straight. I use the top post as my up and down aim. And I use the band as my left and right. As long as you can repeat your form everytime. You will be able to adjust for aim and it will become repeatable if you want to shoot higher or lower keep your form and bend at the waist dont lift or lower your arm. Hope this helps.
