Placing one-self into an entirely different atmosphere, to forget and wash the cares of the day away. Nice finds with great results! At last! Feeling better now? I sure hope so cause I do. This was my first time back on the mountain after my mother passed, she was my best friend. I like to hope her and gramma helped me find that new spot. It did make me feel better to finally show my mom my place, she couldn't make the trip before.

      @@Cliffwalkerrockhounding , My condolences on the passing of your dear mom. I love and miss my mother deeply as well. Your mom and gramma were with you and guiding you to your heart’s desire, your “ sweet spot “. She is with you in spirit, to take pleasure in your joy and to help guide you over your sadness of her passing. Feeling the freedom from your grief will help her move on with her journey. A good mother still loves and cares for her children, even after death.She will always live, as your remembrance of her lives on within you. We shall all be together one day, as God wills it to be. In His timing and not our own. God bless you and yours. You’re in my prayers and I will be standing with you in spirit. 🙏👑🙏

      Thanks. I do use my geo pick as a mountaineering tool, it is invaluable. I bought those flash new red gloves that morning at the gas station and it was sure worth it on a cold day. I did buy a few of those head and body mounts for my gopro, but it broke and now I use my phone. I bought a gimbal, but its huge and I cant work it. All your videos are awesome....but this one is tops! My new favorite of yours. Had it all...sketchy exploring, killer rocks and crystals, majestic beautiful nature, whimsical and zany comedy 😁 and, fun and interesting informative geology stuff. That amethyst geode was insane! There was a rather interesting specimen at 13:40 (I think it was.) That is very cool you found an amazing new spot with agates and geodes popping out. I loved that green vein too! You pulled out that one chunk with all those juicy green layers. It's good to know you are able to be refreshed and rejuvenated by being out there. I hope you are able to find solace out there. Appreciate this awesome video. I was totally looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint. Oh, and I enjoyed seeing some of the worked rocks you found. Take care, my friend! 👍👍

    My wife and I just started rockhounding with a trip to New Mexico. So we're using youtube to scout new places to hunt in the future. Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, and so on. You're climbing slopes there's no way my wife and I would tackle but we would in general like to know where you're hunting. Sounds like Canada though. I immediately subscribed as you have good content. Thanks for sharing!

    I am guessing this volcano is extinct, and no chance of it erupting again? Do you know how old it is? I know you said you had a mine permit and Canada has strict rules on what can and cant be done on the land. Now this might be a dumb question and the terrain may make it impossible anyway, but what goodies do you think you will find if you started back hoeing the volcano? So far, you have found some pretty cool rocks and minerals, but I am curious about what is in there deeper. It is so cool that you climb up an ancient volcano!

    • @Cliffwalkerrockhounding
      @Cliffwalkerrockhounding  2 года назад +1

      To my knowledge, I am the first person to call it a volcano. I assume it is dormant. I can only date the eruptions by the fossils I find in it. Late Eocene is all I can say. So, around 50-60mya. I dont think I need to mine it, as it is basically a mountain cut in half to form those cliffs. I kind of already am on the inside when walking on the face. It is very cool and has been a fantastic journey of discovery and understanding.
