I was like "Who you calling flims-" and as soon as I picked up my RG 78-2, the shoulder armor disassembled, the rifle dropped and hit my rg Char's zaku which toppled it over and disassembled the skirts and the tiny chest parts. Then I was like "Yeah, ok, you have a point."

Most of the people here are stuck on RGs with pre-built frame and forgot that it's a thing of the past now. Even the "RGs are fragile" thing is a thing of the past too lol

The RG line has been turning into better small solid MGs since the RG Tallgeese, I hated the pre-assembled inner frames so this is nothing but a good thing to me.
@@skeith1543 The RG Freedom suffers from many of the same issues as the other older kits in the RG line. The RG Tallgeese, RG Sazabi, RG Crossbone Gundam, RG NU Gundam, and RG Force Impulse are all very solid but almost anything earlier is a gamble on how much of a hand grenade it's going to be.
@@titan133760 I had to lube up the shoulders to even get them moving without feeling like they were going to break, definitely a solid kit as far as the joints are concerned.

This is one of my favourite RG kits to date. I don’t like Gundam Seed Destiny, tried to rewatch it recently and it was garbage, but the look and poseability of this kit is amazing. It also doesn’t have any differences between the right and left arms, legs and shoulders which saved me a bunch of time by building both simultaneously.
Just came back from the hobby store with this RG Force Impulse Gundam and the RG Sazabi. I needed an emotion support Gundam, since I have been looking forward to finally build the Sazabi. It was what you could say a forced impulse buy.
Just picked this kit up. I went on a long Master Grade run just after this kit was released and ended up forgetting about it. I was looking for a smaller kit to do for a change of pace and there it was. Watching your review reminded me why I was so stoked about this one to begin with. A real Grade I'm not afraid to touch after assembly. 🤣
Ahhh... The Magical Girl of Gundam, (almost) always using same stock scene for launching and transforming just like in magical girl show. The soundtrack for launching and transforming also fit perfectly well. Truly magical girl version of Gundam and I want to upgrade mine sometimes on the future,
"Is it fun to transform" I mean it is already a bit of a stretch to call it a transformation when all the pieces are just literally the top and bottom half of the Impulse's body lmao
i never understood why so many units have this gimmick, i mean, i get the reason for the impulse(test bed for swappable parts), or the victory 1(early on), but it could be worse, as there's absolutely no reason for the zz nor the s gundam to have it, neither for the bawoo(which is probably one of the best underapreciated designs in all of gundam).
The Impulse has it because the ZZ had it, and that's literally the only reason. As for why the ZZ had it, I believe it was due to them shooting for a more light-hearted "cartoony" feel after the hellride that was Z. So giving it to a suit in Seed, where they turned all the angst dials to 11, was a bit of a weird choice to say the least...but then Seed was all over the place in terms of writing and overall feel to begin with.

Why does P-Bandai exist, i already have the MG Force and Sword impulse but not the Blast Impulse and i dont have the HG Sword and Blast Impulse since it P-Bandai shame we cant complete the Impulse
If I'm not wrong, the bit of articulation of that piece with the Vulcan gun is for the transformation. As I have seen with the MG, that part is to cover the face
Kakarot197 Core Spledor missile was also use in Episode 1 or Episode 2 when Impulse debut and fired it on Chaos Gundam...! but yes RG Impulse is one of the best RG to date so far... it got the looks, very stable and dont have the ERS (early RG syndrome)...! I actually have 3 of RG Impulse because the 2 will be repainted for use of my HG to make a Sword and Blast variants (I dont care if HG Sword and Blast is P-Bandai because those equipments will be surely more better looking at RG)...!
It still amazes me just how much I enjoy these videos. This one in particular because as a Strike fanboy the very existence of the Impulse offends me on a deep and personal level :)
My problem with all the rg impulse. Forearm armor and Wrist armor tend to crakck over time due to tightness of the ball joints of hand modifiers. At first the the mold line will show then the crack will start from there. Second I thing I dont like about this is the whole forearm assembly is somehow loose on neutral position not snuggly fit
I'm really blown away with how solid RGs are nowadays. My first experiences with them were far from pleasant and put me off the line altogether for a while. They were flimsy and constantly fell apart anytime I'd try and pose them. But after building the solid and super articulate RG Nu Gundam I've come back around on the line. It's really the difference between night and day and shows that Bandai's learned a lot since the early days of the line.

I have to admit, while I do not like Seed I do like some of the mechs and I am tempted to buy the Impulse. I like it cause I am also a sucker for super robot stuff like Mazinger and Getter and it's got a big ass sword
All right the Zaku 3 is back to being the bulky one! I mean I swear these recent reviews made the poor guy not bulky like he always is but now he got his title back. Oh and the force impulse is great too despite the stupid transformation and I use that term transformation very loosely.
Also: Thank you for saying how stupid the combiner gimmick is. They keep putting it in in various forms because ZZ had it _but it was stupid even back in ZZ_ and that was back _in the goddamn 80s._

Am I crazy? the "transformation" just looks like you pull him apart into 4 pieces and bend the limbs a bit. I guess that's not a comment on the model, but the suit design transformed mode looks pretty, err... non-existent.

The last time I knocked my RG RX-78 over it took out half my block
you could go to world war 3 with a couple of early real grades and use them as hand grenades.

Hows the Freedom? I've been considering picking up the RG Freedom but after the RG 78-2 I wasn't so sure about them.

And blast through the rocks when inside the caverns when they try to take down a Lohengrin emplacement.

It's basically a leaner ZZ. A lean, mean fighting machine.

Bandai seems to learn the lessons from the earlier RG kits. Hope that they fix the likes of Sinanju. Anyway, the Impulse is solid and it delivers.

Did I miss a big change in RGs? From all the RG kits I’ve built, they all have a peg connecting the waist to the upper body, not a ball joint.

Imo I think that the core splendor's tailfins are way too small, but I could understand they made them that size just to simply the transfomation.

Because it’s just injection moulded plastic. If you want painted stuff, expect to start paying at least 3 times this
It might seem intimidating at first, but figures this size can actually be pretty fun and simple to paint and don't take too much time

ZZ did it as a homage to classic super robots so I don't hate it but yuck on the Victory and Impulse ones.

It's supposed to look like if the Mobile Suit was real. Real life jets and such have loads of panel lines.
Impulse Gundam is just Bawoo without any effort to transform the top body.
I see less as a transformation and more of delivery system for replacement parts during battle.
