Thank you. When I called Nutrbullet they offered to sell me another motor base saying it cannot be fixed. Wondered why they use breakable plastic in the first place. I took a chance. I saw the part on a search and your easy to follow RUclips. Thank you for coming through to the rescue and not having to spend needless money for a new one. 😊

I just replaced the drive gear according to this video and it was as easy as it looks. I've had my Bullet for years and have replaced this gear several times but I always forget how to remove the broken gear. Just saw a pkg of three of each gear for $8 on ebay. This video is perfect.

When I saw this video was six minutes, all the tools and that he was taking the bottom off I was about to just throw it away and buy a new one. It was very simple and takes about three minutes to do if you know how to use basic tools. Glad I found this video it was a life changer. Great job and thanks for publishing!

Many thanks to you Mr. Sundaram for your very clear and perfect instructions, with excellent visuals, that allowed me (not very good mechanically) to fix my Nutribullet without the hassle of sending it away for repairs. That base gear broke after 6 months of daily use. Since I figured it would break again, I purchased a 4-pack from an eBay Dealer in Los Angeles. I am so pleased, and I could not have done it without you!

      Hi Zeppolino,
May I ask where you managed to buy a spare base gear? JR have told me they don't have any spares and ebay is selling spares for nutribullet and does not specify if it fits the model on display.

Thank you so much! I couldn’t get the screwdriver to work because the brass fitting was rusted on pretty good. Had to slip some smaller vice grips behind the blades to hold in place while turning the brass fitting with a larger pair of vice grips. Hope others were helped by this video

Great comment, I had the same problem and after reading this realised I could just pull the plastic fan bit off and use another pair of grips around the bit underneath the fan.

You are a top man! My brass screw was a ******* to get off and I had to hold the bottom motor manually rather than with a screwdriver but it came apart eventually. One happy wife :-) thank you!

For anyone having a hard time getting the gold nut off, just try and mash it up using the vice grips and working your way around the bolt. It's brass, so it'll deform a bit which makes removal easier when you go to unscrew it.

Top Tip : Hold the fan at the base with a cloth and Pull it out gently. It should slide out. If not, use some WD40 etc. Then use 2 pliers one to hold the bottom and one to hold the gold metal cap and it should come off. No faffing aaround with a screw driver fo the bottom screw.

I have the Nutri Bullet 900 Series and it was nearly impossible to remove the Gold gear. I nearly stripped the screw at the base of the NutriBullet so had to use a Dremel with a Cutting Saw to make a deeper cut for the screw driver. Finally able to get the Gold gear off. What a pain!

I found it was that tight the screw head was being mangled.
And had to disassemble the lower portion of the housing, and grip the fan with a cloth or a few sheets of tissue, cloth would have been better, and had more leverage than the screwdriver...
Why didn't the nutribullet designers use an Anti-clockwise Allen bolt is beyond my understanding of stupidity...
Thank you for the upload 😊

If you can’t turn the base screw, then pull the Plastic fan off. Now you have the whole screw which is serated, meaning you can stick another pair of grips on and turn. The plastic fan will push back in the screw once you’ve finished
