- this is easy way to change gears on your magic bullet under $8 bucks so hope this helps you as it did to me this is mb1001 model also works on other models just make sure read manual what size gears your blender needs

I know this isn’t a real fix, but the bottom of my flat blade lid wasn’t connecting anymore to grind coffee. I was about to replace the whole lid, but first gave this a try: took my hot craft glue gun and made a little glue nub on each of the four points and let it cool to harden. It worked! One did come off upon removing it. But in a pinch, it was worth a try for the short term.
Thank you for this tutorial however my plastic gear in the machine cracked in half leaving the gold piece. How do I get that gold metal piece off the silver middle that you use the Flathead screw driver on the bottom of the machine so I can apply my near gear?

lifting it too early causes the gears to do that and both times you lifted it the blade was still spinning

Well I have changed mine with a little fun. The blade base was easy to do. BUT, the clear one was harder. couldn't remove it holding the screwdriver on the base and turn the top so I removed the 4 rubber grip stoppers with edge of flat screwdriver. Undid the 4 4 Phillips screws.Then for the clear part couldn't get a grip on it so opened up my vice grips to the widest and so it would just slightly grip without breaking it. Locked that on. Did the screwdriver thing on bottom & voila all exchanged.Just have to put base on and test it.If anyone is looking for parts I got mine from wish.com for $7 set comes with 2 clear & 4 black blade base grips.Descriptions - 6Pcs Replacement 2 Plastic Gear Base 4 Rubber Gear For Magic Bullet Spare Parts make sure you look at the pictures to make sure it is the right one. Mines with little scarce ise it lasted from 2006 maybe bit b4 whenever I got it was around there not after & it lasted till 2018 it started breaking down maybe yr b4 till the rottennes from water, etc finally finished crumbling. Great product when it lasts that ling & works still in bad shape as it was for those parts cracked crumbling etc all split in real bad shape. Lol I bought parts on Walmart market place plus a new in on holiday sake, but I really want a great discount on the one that mixes all vitamins on fruits & pulverizes breaks down seeds & so I don't have yucky pull I need for like purple raspberries, etc always has those hard seeds. Ugh.

When the gear broke in two, I was left with the gold center screw bit still on tight. can't seem to budge/twist it off in order to place on the new gear. Frustrated.

No, just whatever is worn, but chances are both will be so it's better to just replace both while you're at it.
