    Bill and Mike are both the man when it comes to trout, salmon, and steelhead. We don't have many places in Northern Illinois with these fish, but I learn alot from these guys for when I do go out and try to fish for them.

    Man, that double-header was a real thrill to watch! It's truly remarkable how you video all the while you're bringing in the trout! Interesting how the bottom contours of the creek changes over the years. What great fishing! I enjoyed this video very much! Great job!

    Excellent adventure, Bill. When I see you guys running the banks and battling those bid, strong beauties it is almost like watching a prize fight. Lots of adrenaline and cardio, that's for sure, and you two are part Viking to endure the cold. Sometimes your streams are icy and there's snow everywhere so it amazes me that those magnificent fish are biting like they do. Congrats to Mike for his 5/6 and to you for the 4/4. Happy holidays, Don

      Can’t remember the last time you guys had a double header. That was awesome, browns in the Erie tribs are rare but Mike has the magic bait to get them. Awesome.

  • @dozerco11nc66
    @dozerco11nc66 6 лет назад +1

    When you are fishing that faster water, are you guys putting on extra weight or less weight with the float bobber? I know the current is supposed to move the weight ahead of the bobber so is the speed going to matter?

    • @BillMikesAnglingAdventures
      @BillMikesAnglingAdventures  6 лет назад

      i try to put as much weight as i can but with spinning gear it seems like bobbers out front dragging the rig

    Nice job guys! Love watching yours guys videos, great stuff! I wanted to ask you, what’s the difference between the rainbows and the Steelheads? I never caught a steelhead but they look similar to me, course that’s just me though! Y’all know more about that stuff than me! PS- Merry Christmas to you guys too!

    • @BillMikesAnglingAdventures
      @BillMikesAnglingAdventures  6 лет назад +2

      thanks man i appreciate it , just a different strain of rainbow , domestic bows are thicker fish usually and steelhead are more streamlined but not always

    Just so you know I've been using the peach beads I ran out of sacks and wax worms and I put a ruffled grouse feather the size of my thumb nail in the bead next to my tooth pick and I caught about a 4 lb steelhead on it on a cheap Shimano 2500 we even got some suckers biting at it LOL I couldn't believe that

      Hey Outdoor Angler, skunked is a bad word in fishing but we have to be real and acknowledge that, some days that’s how it goes. That’s why it’s called fishing and not catching.
