    So sad I'm only checking Tom Stevens out after his passing. A giant has truly left us. R.I.P.

      Indeed. This recording was my introduction to Mr. Stevens. Awesome trumpet player!

    I had the pleasure of playing with him on a recital he gave at Eastman and then in New York City. Great player!!

      Paul, I am afraid that I missed that recital, but I remember the pleasure of hearing your own terrific work as an Eastman student. I grew up in LA and remember Mr. Stevens from the Philharmonic, as well as its pianist, Zita Caron, who made anything sound easy, as she does here.

    UIL is dumb. There is a horn piece that is very similar to this. This is a no memory required piece for trumpet but you have to memorize it for horn. That’s dumb. This is a great piece though.
