i like all the characters - some less than others but i still adore them all, they all have such good personalities
i don't like takano much because of her intentions but i still think she's a unique woman and good character

Strong enough to the point of killing and torturing her friends for fun. It's not just Rika, she intentionally made Mion go L5 for fun because Mion could never get L5 otherwise.

Absolutely the Natsuki of the series. She definitely deserved better than what she had.
All of them did, honestly. Especially Rika.
I understand why people hate her and find her annoying but I love her so much. Her behaviour seems very normal for an abused and abandoned child.
Coming back to this song after Gou is just damn right depressing. A far cry from the Satoko I grew up with and used to cope,.
She is still the same... just grew up in a bad way.
I really hated Gou, 'cause it felt like they did both Satoko and Rika dirty. Sure, there's an element of "realism" to how they both grew up, but goddamn.
Really felt like Ryukishi was just trying to shoehorn them into the roles of Lambdadelta and Bernkastel, consequences be damned.

Yup, I was going to make a comment on that myself, but it really shows the full depth of Satokos character that wasn't explored in the original anime or vns.

Spoilers for Higurashi sweeties.
Satoshi gets rescued in Matsuriyabashi, he had L5 Hinamizawa syndrome so he was recovering in the underground facility of the Irie Clinic, it is hinted he and Takano got better at the end of the arc as both Tomitake and Shion left the Clinic seemingly happy.
Matsuriyabashi is the true world, as in the world in which Rika and everybody else survive and get the happy end they wanted.
So yes Satoko was right in believing Satoshi would come back, because he does.

Poor Satoko. What her broken mind brought her to do in Gou is just heartbreaking.
I watched a different and I think older upload of this on RUclips but I remember being mentally ill and listening to this song, and crying because I felt like I could kinda sympathize with Satoko, not completely but to an extent. I remember crying and feeling like I could relate to her so much.
Coming back after chapter 11 of Higurashi Sotsu. So heartbreaking her destiny... :(

Lambda did a lot of wrong things for Satoko, but you can argue that in the end, Satoko got a much better ending than she would have had without Lambda. She doesn't go to St. Lucia, and will be home for when Satoshi wakes up. Made me cry a bit

Most of them are people who only watched the scene where she bullies Rika (it's not really the Satoko we know, though. It was an alternate universe). They're really quick to judge a series just by one scene. They don't even bother to watch the whole series...

Fair warning, if ur gonna watch it just be prepared for gorey scenes, really gorey scenes 😅 but if u can watch gorey scenes that seem really painful, then youll be fine otherwise the story is really interesting and worth it😀
