Knipex make the best pliers of all kinds. Not even debatable. Anyone who knows good tools knows all about knipex. Excellent video
It really depends on which kind of pliers you are talking about. For stuff where they have a design advantage like the cobras and pliers wrench, yes. However, I bought a pair of Knipex high leverage side cutters out of curiousity and still ended up going back to my flea market pair of Klein cutters more because of the awkward handle shape.
Hey, my name's Darrell, and I just subscribed to your channel. I absolutely agree with you, quality tools are so much better and faster/easier to use than the lower cost alternatives. I was a professional auto mechanic/technician all of my working life, and I soon discovered that cheap tools aren't actually cheap. I was constantly replacing or repairing broken or worn out tools, which, in the long term, can get very expensive. Not to mention the lost productivity, aka lost income. So I started buying high quality tools. Although they cost, in many cases, considerably more up front, the speed and ease of use, as well as much improved reliability, saved me money in the long term. I also found that I wasn't as stressed out at the end of the day! Thanks for making videos like this. Most people have no idea how much difference good tools can make. Perhaps more people will learn these things after watching your videos.
Yes, this is exactly why I started buying tools from quality foreign mfg's and with all the research I don't have to worry about the rebranding and and cheap manufacturing. Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks for the review I have been thinking of getting this set. I laughed so hard when that ring went flying, I can’t tell you how many times that has happened with my current set. Thanks again for the comprehensive review
Thanks for the review, I've been looking at getting these. Im glad to see they hold the snap ring very well. Im tired of those interchangeable ones where they get misaligned and send snap rings flying.
Glad I came across your video. I was ready to grab the snap on quick release version. Ty
Completely agree. As I get older I would rather have many that do one thing right rather than one that does it okay
That was a great demonstration of why they are worth the money.
We all have struggled with shit circlip pliers, the multi function ones are the worst.
It isn't the struggle to get the circlip off or back on again, it is the search for the dam thing that has pinged off into the "empire of dirt" (copyright AvE.)
+Harvey Smith Lmao, yep that's the entire reason I got these. The days of searching for lost retaining rings are over for me!
Thanks for your review.
If you need screwdrivers, be sure to check out Vessel screwdrivers. I've used many and love 'em. They fit screws like no other.
Great vídeo thanks , wiha and knipex very good Tools.made in Germany 😍😍😍
I wasn't sure what set to get, now I know. Thank you.
Your a nice person and country. What your doing is buying good tools.
Knipex are badass tools
My main gripe with knipex is the pn being printed on the grip and nowhere else. As a professional technician, getting them filthy and cleaning is an almost daily cycle. The letters wear very quick and if you ever do need to warranty, which I recently did I had to resort to googling the pn so I could get a replacement. Also, knipex directly has terrible warranty service so your best bet if you have 1, warranty through one of the tool trucks. I usually have the best luck with Matco
Well don't buy them if it's that bad.. Man first world problems
Thank you!
I bought that set today
Good to see what hype is all about. I'm having a hard time deciding between getting the Knipex or the Snap on snap ring pliers as they cost around the same.
CarEnthusiast Snap On sells Knipex on their site. 8pc knipex is 100 less or so on amz vs snap on website. FWIW.
Yes they sell 45°degrees pliers
Great pliers...
Among friends I'd recommend Wera.
is the k supposed to be silent to sound like nipex?
chalz108 I don't think so. The Germans pronounce it with a k but it's not a hard K like the U.S. I should probably make a video as I get this question alot.
knipex do make 45 degree snap ring pliers but not in the precision pliers shown in your vid.internal pliers 44 32 a12 /a22/a32/a42.external 44 31 j02/j12/j22/j32/j42.btw love your vids
Yes, I probably should have explained that part as well. I mean why don't they? These have a better look and feel, I also like that these have an internal spring VS external spring on the other style, But thanks for watching!
3rd times the charm
How did tips hold up after all these yrs?
Absolutely great with zero issues to report just need to pickup those additional sizes because they would bridge the gap between these and my jumbo set
One of those craftsmen pieces of crap wasted a whole afternoon for me trying to get a ring out of my Land Rover power steering box (in situ). Will get the Knipex thanks - too bad no stores carry them that I can find - so will have to wait a few days. Those Craftsmen's are sold everywhere under different brand names at a wide range of prices. AVOID!
Home depot inline
ITS not "Canipex" its knipex (Ni-Pex)
nope. German company German pronunciation. Just like Porsche.
No you pronounce the k
No Bueno... crap tools. After I've bought all kinds of stuff I prefer German.
