@@ibbyv Thank you for the requests - I am behind on uploading videos that I've already recorded and have a chamber music recording project taking place these next two weeks, so it may not be right away but I'll definitely add the Solfeggio and Souvenir to my list! Stay tuned!
Thanks! Years and years (decades) of practice have enabled me to be able to play a piece like this easily... so, I always tell my students, "just keep practicing"! Also, listening to recordings helps so that you have a clear idea of the sound you want in your ears/head which will be easier to execute with your fingers.
I've been struggling on this piece alot because some parts you play sound very different to the one i play even though i play the same notes.. Any idea why this is?
Great work!! I wish you were my teacher, hahah. You seem very kind! My piano teacher is extremely strict, and he’s quite scary 😅 Do you have any tips for this song? I just started learning it!
Thank you, Konho! 😊 Tips?? Hmm I would start by listening to it a lot so you know the melodic line well by ear, then also practice (slowly) over-exaggerating the difference (in volume) between the melodic and accompaniment notes in the RH until it becomes natural to do it at regular tempo, all the while listening and aiming for a long and beautiful melodic phrase. Good luck!!
I would work on the RH separately at first and over-exaggerate the melodic vs accompaniment notes while you're practicing... I think bringing out the melodic line in a nice phrase is the hardest part of this piece so that should be your main focus.
I learn it in about 10 hours by heart. Don't wanna talk about myself but I first think it will be harder than it really is. Same as always, perseverance is the key, play the beginning hundreds of times if needed, then 2nd part hundreds of part, till the end. Most of times it works, no need to play all the sheets each time. When you will master the first half, you'll learn the 2nd half very fast. One more tip, for me since I understood that I progress a lot : try to understand the mecanism of the autor, when you'll find it, you'll understand better the sheets and his logic. Hope it will help you.
Fantastic! You are my ‘go to’ channel when I need a student to listen to an interpretation 🙏

My son is working on this piece, your video helps a lot for the dynamic. It’s so beautiful!
Thank you! I'm glad it has been helpful! 😊
Wow good job i tried it wasn't hard
It's one of those pieces that is deceptively tricky, based on my students' opinions on the piece...
So soft and smooth... how do you keep the music level so balanced but fill it with dynamics although you can keep it quiet?
Still the piano goddess :)

Hi Lisa, how would you play the lighter notes? I sometimes miss the note when I try to use less strength. Thanks

This piece is so difficult for me because this is my piece
I love this song? Sureee of course
what is the most significant thing the examiner would look for in this piece
melody and pedal
the start part is b d g. Look at the piece. The B should be louder. The next one is A d g. Likewise A should be louder then this pattern continues
that is the straightest and shiniest hair ive ever seen
Haha! 😄
So hard
Indeed! It’s a deceptively tricky piece.
*bring me the two people who disliked. We shall have a little chat*
Haha! This comment made me laugh! 😄 Thanks for your support!
