    I like the analogy because this is how temperature is held by a home thermostat, it is how a broadcast station maintains accurate frequency, it is how many new skyscrapers are stabilized (electromechanical stabilizers), it is how ships are stabilized, it is how GPS time is kept accurate, etc. In all of these cases, there is no perfection. There is always factor that says "accurate to 1 part in 1 thousand or a million or a billion, etc. There is no "right on." All of them operate from feedback loops that keep measuring the error to correct the outcome, but the error is never zero, but almost zero.
