Last year, I built my “everything exactly how I want it guitar.” It was a long time in waiting, since some of the components were rather expensive, but it was worth it. One of the best things I did was put a Vega-Trem on it. I wish I could afford to put them on ALL of my guitars. They’re stable, they don’t ruin my tone (which I can do on my own…), and changing strings is easy. With the combination of the Vega-Trem, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners, I can whammy the crap out of that thing and bend strings like a crazy person and it stays in tune. 100% would recommend!
Great review. I've recently fitted a Vegatrem to my refinished vintage 62 Strat after three years of living with Vegas on my Mexican Strat. No butchery involved and easily reversible if necessary. Love Vegatrem, it painlessly took my Strat to a new level .
"Floyd curious" got me 😂
Have one on my main strat. Best upgrade I ever did to it. All my strats will have this over time.
I've had one on my strat for about 6 months. Stays in tune amazingly and dont have anything negative to say about it
How easy do you recon would it be to install a Trem stabiliser with the vega Trem for drop tuning?
7:59 damn. That...was masterful
99.9999% luck. Harmonics hate me 😂
"Floyd curious" made me chuckle out loud. Funny and talented is dangerous. You are a dangerous man. Keep up the great work.
😂😂 cheers man! Thank you for watching
Two of my guitars got VegaTrem last year, and yes it’s the best trem. It gives you those Jeff Beck kind of feel to the bend
Currently building a partscaster with a Vega Trem. The gap makes it possible to pull up on the trem without routing or modifying the body, or setting it up floating above the body, ala Fender. Great stuff Buddy 🤘
Exactly! Thank you for watching
Great job adding the whammy. Awesome playing as always, Buddy ! 👍😎👍🎸
Thank you!
Now that tone is epic 🎉 nicely played 🎉
Great playing!
I have these and love them!
I am seriously considering the Vega Trem. I have tried FR rail tail and SuperVee. SuperVee needed additional mods to work properly, FR is limited and takes some getting used to. I tend to use rolling nut and brass claws as well. This sounds outstanding.
It just arrived today, but I wanted to check out yt vids before installing into my 2 point player strat. Do I use the Ameican or Asian converter? Sounds great on yours.
Beck would approve. Great playing.
That trem system is rad
Man that looks and sounds beautiful! Great playing dude, what pickups are in there?
Liked and subscribed!!!! Just ordered one of these for my Strat!!
Thank you!! You’re gonna love it
Sometimes we don't know what we want until it's given to us.
Great vid, but man, loved the opening playing. Reminds me of a (good) film soundtrack from the 80s (or something)
Perfect ! what is the pickup gold ?
thank you in advance 😉
Great playing! Sounds like I’m under water in donkey Kong country 2 and the color of the guitar goes with the sound haha
🤣🤣🤣🤣 comment of the year
i just put a Floyd Rose Rail tail on my Fender Custom Shop. Also an excellent bridge. Really beef's up the sustain.
The reason I really don't like Floyd rose. Type is because of what happens during double stop bends. Do you find that happening with this
Now that you have had some time with it would you go this route over a callaham?
I’ve gone this route 3 times so far 😂 I would go this route for every strat
I need this on my junkaster. make it a junkaster deluxe. I like how people hate Floyd Roses but want the advantages of them. Fender and Gibson did good telling everyone that other setups were for ''shredding'' when shredding really only means proficient, its not a style. or at least it wasn't until people divided players by genre.
Agreed. I wish I could shred though haha
Mine is very sensitive to every touch. Too much really. Do you know how to make it a little less? I bit more stable I would like it. I use 10's so I use the recommended springs.
Oh man I couldn’t see the cable against the input jack ,I was saying to my self I thought this about the trem. Why type of magic is this lol
Do you have locking tuners? I wondered how the vega does without locking tuners.
I don’t have locking tuners on this one but many of my friends have a Vega with locking and it works just as perfect
Will it work on a Silver Sky ? Or a Silver Sky SE?
Oh yeah! They even have a picture of it on their Facebook
@@BuddyBlues awesome thank you, I’m definitely going to look into it. I love the flutter
I'm extremely accustomed to the Gotoh 510. I wonder how this compares to the 510
I love the 510, tempted to try this one
I have a vega trem. Yes it is awesome. But seriously, tell me where you got that pickguard.

@@BuddyBlues you rock, both literally and figuratively in this case. Thanks.
Thank you! Haha
Is it worth the extra screws? Or get the 2 hole verison?
Nah I don’t think that make a difference I think they made the extra screw ones for different than fender guitars to fit more options like prs etc…
Tremtastic
how does it react with country bends? those bars with the collars always got loose over time. i ended up with pliers in my gig bag. how is that one holding up?
Holding up real good everything’s been real solid on it. In the box you get 4 different sets of springs. Extra light, light, medium, heavy. I went with medium because I do a lot of bends where I hold another “stationary” note with the bend and I hate when it goes out of tune. Which this one doesn’t do after using medium tension springs and a good set up
@@BuddyBlues does the choice of which springs you use depend string gauge?
Yes it does but stiffer or lighter can also be used with a proper setup of the claw if string tension allows within reason. Meaning don’t use 13s and use the extra light springs 😂
@@BuddyBlues makes sense! Thanks.
Vega absolutely smoke Floyd rose system 🤭
