I still remember the first time I heard Cockburn.. was long distance driving through the night between Melbourne and Adelaide and listening to some cool fm station when on came "Wondering where the lions are". I was transfixed. Stopped the car way out in the middle of the desert and cranked the stereo... and up came the lyric "some kind of ecstasy's got a hold on me" .. and it did. It was a transcendent moment. Will never forget it! Dancing around the car to this amazing song. Hair's still standing up on my neck now recalling that magical moment! I've followed his music ever since and play it often on our little radio show in Adelaide. I know he has a huge back catalogue but my all time fav is "How I spent my fall vacation" off Humans.. maybe you could give that one a go?? I'm a muso too.. and incidentally have a Gilet (wooden body Dobro). Your acoustic sound amazing! Love yr work.
