The greatest female vocalist to stand before a microphone! I was at this concert in 1993. It was my 18th birthday on July 20th and my parents surprised me with tickets. I’ve been to 3 Whitney houston shows and this particular concert just still gives me chills. Her voice was on fire this night.
This was in July 23, 1993, she had just given birth March 4, 1993 4 months prior. Her voice had “darkened” after given birth. Her lower register had increased in range and support.
whitney's lower register is criminally underrated fr. from 97-00, her lower register was extremely supported and she even hit a Bb2 in stuttgart 1999 singing IWALY.
At this point she was truly at the height of her powers. Range still fully intact, tone richer than ever, melisma mastered at a level beyond anything we’ve ever seen and ever will!
was this in radio city? her power there was insane, but what's remarkable about this night was how healthy she sounded. her voice was agile, and her register shifts, seamless and fluid. this was supposed to be the voice she had carried throughout her 30s and 40s (and 50s if she hadn't passed away too soon), if she remained healthy.

After singing those songs HUNDREDS of time, she still found a way to deliver like that. Those vocals give me chills.
in my opinion, 1993 is where here voice was at its peak.

A larger , more rounder voice. I love her F5. The head voice angelic.
With Whitneys' every note I am always in awe and in tears! She and her voice were heaven sent!
Whitney said her Voice got Stronger when she was Pregnant with Bobbi Kris and she Recorded The BodyGuard Album Pregnant so I believe it. RIP Nippy
