It's a P2W game. 100%. Period. The one who spends beats the player who doesn't. Drop rate for useful items is ridiculous and mostly gives useless traits, gold items are insanely rare, mythic respect are like 1/30 chests and legendary respect rarely follow the wishlist. You also now need to fully gear up 4 commanders for every army instead of 1 to be competitive. Not to mention how difficult it has become to make T1 commanders reach R10.
Great Video, i think i agree with all everything you say. We need send list like this to the devs, i also share with them alot of easy problem to solve likethat, that can improve alot the gameplay of F2P and i hope they gonna at least listen!
Definitely a P2W game. I agree with all your observations, however barracks and stamina limit is not enough to make it F2P friendly. I'm about to finish season 3, the first one where I stomped against whales, and it's impossible, my commanders don't even make a scratch on a whale. Also whales take out every resource early in the game, cause their commanders are so good, they don't even need troops. To take my first 200 tile I had to launch 5 armies at it. And they all loose so many troops I couldn't try for a second 200 tile until the next day. While my neighbour with 13 seasons was walking through tiles like it was downhill. This season I saw a whale being attacked by several players until it lost all all his troops, then a colleague sent his level 40 army, full troops +7000 soldiers, and the whale won! With just the commanders it completely obliterated my colleague's army full on troops. That's plain non-sense. This game has no strategic value as whoever spends more, wins. Regarding possible ideas to make it better, I agree with all your points and I would add to the "better counter" argument, that the ability to refactor your armies in the field, like if you were in your settlement, could also play in favor if they implement a real counter system. Occupation timers are awful, they must go away. Matchmaking shouldn't be so hard to implement: even a split upon players by seasons could help a great deal. For example: players with six or less seasons to one server, player above to a different one. There would be still differences, but it will be more feasible to take down a big player via team-work if the difference is at least cut in half.
Hi, yesterday we were having usual PVP encounter with Rohan in NRP Rebuilding Glory - we have encountered Mythic formation of Respect 10 (OK Beorn was even R11) with all gold items maxed out + Relics boosted up. We could not even dent him............................
I guess it would help if the balance between commanders and troops would be adjusted, so that commanders are slightly less determining the outcome of the battle and troops do more.
One major thing that would help low spenders/f2pish would be to fix the pass. It used to give t2 commander boxes now with the color change it just gives t1 commander respect items
I was really wondering too - maybe they want to motivate players/us to ascend Mighty Commanders? As without that they are really no use now - when you have Mythic and Legendary mainly in for example Campaign...
Now how to improve the game: Occupation timers: Down to 30 seconds allows for people to react and guard or contest but only if they are nearby (Kinda like the old 5 sec animation timer) Countering: This probably wont happen but we can ask for commanders to take something like 4x or even 10x damage after their formations units die. This would stop the eagle bombs from DD commander. While buffing tankier commanders and allowing weaker player to eventually kill krakens. 1/?
2/? Cont. When it comes to commanders in general to many commanders are just below average at everything. "Commit to the bit" if someone is all about doing damage don't give them a healing skill. Events could simply be made better with the addition of cosmetics or at least a garunteed gold item. People would fight tooth an nail over cosmetics and we already have the system for zenith commanders. Matchmaking: Knowing the amount if effort behind this.... this ain't happening. HOWEVER, we can implement a "Casual" and "high roller" servers where high rollers provide more wnd of season rewards and would filter out the season 3 - 6 people.
One idea I really liked on a couple comments was a reset of items and respect on commanders in between season. Or a rebuild system in-between seasons. It can't cost money or it won't be fair. But I lost big items back in early seasons that I just didn't know were valuable. Two Gigantic hammers, planitar, white knives etc and put them in junk gold items. I have a r10 Arwen that I could crush and build into an r10 Legolas, use purple gear and put up 50,000 damage. That is good for my little dolphin account. It makes low spending players flexible to the meta and makes the meta ever changing. The meta is an awesome research task and that feeds into our community, like your account. I mean its hard to even get 4 pieces of equipment to get the 2.0 equipment boosts.... A rebuilding system for all commanders could make the low spenders flexible, the whales ever more perfect, and organic counters popping up every season.
Hey I know I am a bit late to this but I have an idea that could help and a story. So the idea to help is make the respect vouchers able to scale up and convert into each other. It could be like 5 epics go into 1 legendary and 10 legendarys go into 1 mythic. Now onto the story in one of the seasons I played there was this mega whale who had about 3 fully maxed meta formations and had that on about 3 accounts (there main and 2 alts) and they had another 2 alts that had 1 fully maxed formation. It was safe to say that we lost that season and it was mainly because of that one player Edit: I forgot to mention that do get something fairly decent you have to spend ages on the game. I played for around 5 years and just before 2.0 I was doing ok I had a r5 gil and had decent equipment so I could draw with a massive whale if I used a good build with good troops. Now I don't have many good commanders as I mainly focused on gil thinking we wouldn't need more than one per army.
Regarding occupation timers - you should have 30 seconds after someone attacks your tile to click something to initiate defense of that tile. Something that triggers the 10 minute timer. If you don't click it, the tile is able to be occupied in one minute. If you're online and paying attention you can slow your enemy's advance.
A great improvement would be that the respect items and the same respect of the commanders could be transferred between them, so the FTP would have a t3 r10 that would be at the same level as the whales, another improvement is that the old % of chests return, to win invitations from t3
Have to agree with what your saying. I am a f2p or low spender, but it's only once I started to spend a little bit did my gear and coms start to improve. Timers definitely need reduced. Also the fort demo and build balance that up abit.
What we really need is a better voucher system. Currently its so hard to golden respect items and you cant get any gold items with vouchers anymore which makes the game more P2W. As you mentioned several times we also need a rework of troop damage, which would make the game itself way more interessting and dynamic. The good part is that we got Elven Craftsmans Hammers so you can re-do your mistake or re-craft to try a new setup. Again the bad part we didnt get any new commanders or new (really new) Events.
P2W 100%. With the advent of commander dmg dominating the meta, needing 4 commanders geared. Alongside the purple gear becoming as useful as green gear. There is no mathematical way for someone to punch up. Additionally players can no longer be supporting their team through tile taking. With occupy timers being as long as they are and the maps forcing people into choke points the creativity they lauded for blocking or intercepting marches would require the enemy team to be Helen Keller.
The tiling is slower but weaker tacticians can still help even with the slower timers. The slow time effects your opponents too. The more active players benefit from this.
@siseroscicero I agree it's not better. But it's still equal. At least it gives got a chance to respond. With the old tile format, a whale would be at your door with nothing stopping them.
@@TJzzl86 yeah what I'm alluding to is that if it takes 5 min and 20 stam to take a enemy tile then the whaled enemy just needs to spend 10 stam and can completely stop my push, while being stam positive.
I would like to see a meta that is shifting constantly. New commanders, new troops or gear being regularly released would accomplish this. Also, making it more accessible to increase commander respect again would help. It is sooooo slow to upgrade comms now. But we need innovative and creative ways to keep the game fresh.
Meta changes I think hurt FTP players though… if you spend 12-18 months going for 1-2 commanders and building equipment and sets for those 1-2 to make them really solid, and then the game shifts all over again, that would be devastating and make me want to quit. In theory it’s nice to have 30 commanders that are all good and compete, but there’s always going to be a 1st and a 30th. The game could make that gap closer, but you’re never going to achieve a sustained balance. People will figure out what’s doing just a little bit better than something else and then people will flood to that build or style or model.
Should have free reset after every season. Like hammer...You shuld reset all commanders respect and items after all season, so you could choose what command and what item you will play each season start.
I really like this... I feel like I'm stuck with season 2 mistakes... I lost gigantic hammers before I knew what they were. We need to be able to reset out equipment and respect. I have useless r10 Arwen and could use it to make a decent Legolas. As the meta changes then the low spenders have the liquidity to change.
It is also too much investment to get relics to your commander and to fight a relic commander team is almost impossible, so there is a too huge gap there.
I also think they should stop flying armies from intercepting marches/reinforcements. Now a whale's flying army can just sit on a road far out of his fort influence and behind enemy lines, to snatch any reinforcements coming in
Thanks again for your continual insight. You may be one of the only ways the Devs of RTW ever hear true unfiltered critiques of this Game’s evolution. To that end, considering f2p play, you may wish to do a vid about Gear. One of the major reasons for non-parity in this Game, between f2p & whales, is Gear. I am a minimal spender in my 23 Season (on 2 Servers since Day 1, & my Gear is still shit. Have any ideas that might bridge the inequity gap regarding Gear? Thanks for everything. +);{>
Buff troops and make each commander 10% better from r0 to 10 and each tier is another 10% (from legendary to mystics)! (Migth have toRelic and equipment are 5+10% max. In my opinion kraken should go down if 3 player coordinate and attack with let say 2 mystic r3 and 2 r10 legendary with decent equipment. That way f2p or newer player fell like they matter with their teams (huge plus)! And we get the illusion that if we put money we can catch up.
Can’t speak for everyone but I’ve spent well over $5000, and I still lose many matches. Love the game but there will always be a bigger spender. Honestly when I’ve had a great team that plays and works together, it doesn’t matter as much
I really hope the devs will see that. I really like your points but if we are honest to ourselves....there will not be huge changes like a better counter system. This would literally lead into a 3.0 Version and would require many respect vouchers.
easy.... ULTRA P2W v2... v1 was very friendly... but they rekt it... in v1 u could get t3 heros in a couple of seasons... couse of the mathom vauchers they were for all, epic/legendary, u exchange all ur purples/blues/gold and u could get t3 r items, now u cant... this game is dead to me, i was so happy playing as a f2p in season 1 with wk, kaldoom, grima and even goorbag with unique... now theyr useless... i have to improve my english... saludos d argentina
Every event should give toy an insane amount of purple gear. 1 that’s helps f2p catch up some what waaaayyyy quicker, and it absolutely doesn’t benefit the whales as much, yes maybe they can outfit more women with better gear, but most whales have thousands of purple gear, like there is no way they don’t
My first season was very enjoyable. But now I'm at my third season and i have to fight against veterans with 10+ seasons played and they have all golden purple gears with relics. There is not match against them even with full T4. I like this game but i don't have money to invest.
The current version is most definitely P2W! There are several reasons for it and one of the biggest is the change to the fighting system. Tackling your point about the counter play: I see the biggest issue right at the core of the new fighting system which are the Formations. Those will never offer a proper "Counter Play Scenario" simply because with 4 commanders in a group you can bypass your weakness by bringing a certain commander. KoM ruins CC, Frodo & Sam with taunt as well as commanders with WC or high % dmg reduction ruin high burst damage in early rounds and so on.... And it sadly does not even stop there. People are now pressed into spending more to keep up or they just get rolled, cause they have to have 4 decent and well geared commanders to use a SINGLE good army. While whales or kraken come along with 2 or even 3 halfway decent armies, esp. when swapping gear. In 1.0 with the single commander being an army system you could still get a decent fight, IF you hit the right commander. This did add strategic depth to the game while it also made it far more intense and rewarding. It made people spend money and the 2.0 system made people leave. I am actually surprised the Devs did not notice that yet. About the occupation timers I am totally on your side.. however I think they could perfectly combine it with the "war buff". Example: No timer on your land, 5min timer on enemy land and no timer on enemy land during "war buff". This would give war buff way more significance and add another level of strategic play with it. Aside from this I am sure there is more that could be done to make the game more enjoyable for F2P Players or even newcomers such as making the Relic System more accessible by removing the ascension to mythic, removing 1.0 gear, finally deciding on either RP or NRP for all, removing the level cap (from "40/45" to 50), Mathom wishlist to actually give you what you want, increasing marching speed and finally giving us a "match making system" like an indicator on player strength per faction (pre season) based on money spend. Technically all this is money for them as people who enjoy something automatically tend to spend more money at it.
It's fundamentally harder to be a F2P now than is was at the beginning, in my opinion. Having many seasons under your belt and good team is helpful. Going it alone (unless you just enjoy hanging out and observing) is not viable anymore. Absolutely occupation timers have slowed the game down a lot, especially for F2P, I myself feel my usefullness dwindling, the game is more about cleaning, spamming and dodging rather than fighting nowadays. (Unless you have the Meta team) It's easy to occupy a tile, set your phone aside and come back hoping you survived, watching the timer just isn't entertaining. (Marching is also a slog) But I think the biggest way to help F2P is to take away the randomness of getting commanders unlocked. Let us choose whom we want once we've saved 200 mathoms. There's nothing more disappointing than finally getting that guaranteed unlock and receiving someone unhelpful. (We miss you Sunind!😭) Also, return all the respect vouchers to universal, allowing us to "decompose" all vouchers into the same fund, separating everything between purple, gold and orange just adds unnecessary confusion and makes growing your account even slower. This game is still very F2P friendly compared to other games I've played where I'm just cannon fodder in rallies or garrisons. At least here I can block enemies, finish off a whale's leftovers or just generally be a nuisance if I pay attention. I do admit paying attention has become a bit of a problem as of late. But I still love this game, here's hoping they listen to us one day.
There are too many tiles - farming 200 tiles to have an economy is boring, shrink it to 100 and double the value - then less time farming, more time fighting and scheming.
The problem is that this game is design to play in groups… I think the majority actually plays for themselves, which is my case. The devs should consider it
It's p2w for sure. The way you can tell is just watching a season 1 server and see the difference between a f2p players and even a small spender. It's pretty big difference so just imagine what a person who spends more compared to a f2p player. Back in the day you could get mathoms without spending it's almost impossible to get mathoms as a f2p player and evennif you just pay for the season pass you would have probably have 30 more mathoms, not including the gems you get from the pass, alone. I would love if a person could do a season 1 and let us know how many mathoms he got or chests he opened and we can compare it to a spender and we can show the huge difference. You can't get better commanders, respect, oe gear without mathoms. I generally feel netease does not care about this game
Deberían cambiar los cupones de respeto que sea un solo cupón para todos los comandante este juego cada vez es más PTW va por el mismo camino que Age Of Empire Mobile
2.0 is much less free to play for sure. I was RP for since the game released. Now my free mathom gets me both evil and good side respect items…. Now half the chances from before to get the commander I want.
what bothers me the most is that the players are not ranked by level on the servers (the higher your influence level, that means you spend), that the contributions are calculated mainly on PvP, while the version 2.0 plus everyone has roles, so you can do hard work on the housework, cut the roads, block the reinforcement and you have nothing compared to a spendthrift who will fight hands down, suddenly the end of season rewards are derisory. there are more tactics we see the same formation, same troop... and finally the ascent 40 coupons, it's enormous, we progress at an ant's pace. Finally, a mobile game must be fun and fast, the updates have made the game very boring with its repetitive formations, slow steps and reviewing T1 skills...
Is it PTW? Sure, but so is every game. ATME’s point is compared to other games out there in similar styles or genres. In that sense I think it is way more FTP friendly than others. I think back to Clash of Clans. If I started right now from scratch there would be whales and krakens in that game that I would just never catch up to, ever. But to Clash’s credit, they do have a ranking and tier system to match you up with people similar to you. Game of Thrones Conquest, could never catch up to krakens even after years of playing that game. And if you got attacked in that game all your progress could be taken way back and you have to start all over again. Big FTP component to RTW is the seasons resetting every 2 months. For everyone to start back at 0, resources, buildings troops, levels, is waaaaaaayyy more FTP friendly than many other games. Match making alone would almost solve all the issues I think. If they did that first, a lot of the other stuff could mostly solve itself. If your account could have a score almost between items and rarity of items combined with total respect and quality of commanders, that would then sort you into a division or tier you were allowed to compete in, that would be perfect. I would even be fine with being allowed to always play up, but once a player go to a certain level the game restricted them from signing up for a campaign below their level. That way FTP or active people could stay with teams that majority were better than them if they chose to, knowing they are going into servers that likely out match them, but that’s their choice. A kraken however has no ability to drop down into a level 1 or level 2 server for example and wreak havoc. Overall I do think it’s one of the better FTP games, if they could just introduce a match making system to keep similarly enough players together in servers.
This game is not F2P because, there is no way to change characters once you've invested in them, if you invest wrong or focus on someone because you've not got a T3 pull, you're stuck with them - if they suck, you will always suck. Your best choice is to start a new account and get better luck. Also, it's not F2P as gear is so unbalanced - money alone give you good gear, without that you never ever ever going to stand a chance in winning a fight. Finally, march timers - the map is huge, if you're not on ever a couple hours to build 3-10 forts to a new target you're just left behind and spend days trying to reach were the action is. Farming life sucks.
I used gigantic hammers to upgrade a gold item before I knew about them. We need to have a reset option for all respect and gear after every season. The f2p could flexibly change every season as they learn the meta. I have a useless r10 Arwen that I could make good Legolas... but I'm stuck.
I agree there is a problem. I don't agree with your solutions and i usually never do. I'm not a whale or even a dolphin or even a mid maxer. I spend usually $20 a season on construction q and a season pass.
And when I do agree with one of your solutions it's usually in the context of thinking. Oh I hope they do! That way it'll be easy for me to quit the game. and I'll think of the money I save per year and the extra free time.
@@allthingsmiddleearth thank you for giving me the opportunity to try to change your mind. I consider the Tolkien universe to be one of The originators of the supernatural medieval fantasy world we enjoyed today. That gave birth to the most successful gaming brainchild ever made World of Warcraft. they performed a simple good versus evil. There should only be two factions. Good versus evil. Within each of those factions are the races. Fellowship maximums to 25-50. My favorite fellowship had 4 races. I kept that number low For a number of reasons. 1st no one person should have the ability to dictate what 600+ people do. If the top guy in the top fellowship in your faction chooses a war then your hand is forced Or if one of the fellowships is not being cooperative. Rather than losing 1/3rd and pretty much having your season thrown away. Easier to cut ties with 1/6th or 1/12th. Giving many of those people various options of where to go next. Not just the next fellowship on the list. Being stuck with only 1-2 more options is hardly an option. Then there is the social taxing aspect especially for leaders and new players. Accountability for 100 people is not realistic it fosters chaos and negativity. Take time to be involved in lower echelon teams of the community. The struggles are vast and real. A new player could feel alone for a long time especially if he starts asking questions and is perceived as a spy. Then he has to get the time of one of maybe 4-5 people tasked with helping 100 people. Hoping the language barrier doesn't mess with the minutiae or that the time zone lines up with leadership. Every competitive skill based game. From baseball to League of Legends. Has levels of skill. I think smaller groups will help make this distinction. A new player getting put in a group where nothing's been said and in a chat for days and everything that's anything is happening in another language on another app Sucks because it's the only other fellowship. Then there's the gatekeeping that happens in the third season being told you can't join a good team cuz you don't have two or three seasons under your belt. Smaller groups with weight classes. Do you know 100 people that you know for sure that aren't spies and if you do how many seasons did it take you to know 100 people that aren't spies. But I bet you know 25. Thank you for your latest video. Although I disagree with the title of your latest video. it should just be titled how to play rise to war because you probably won't want to see a season 4 without it. I could really go on and on and on. Tell me how much water you need in your bucket to change your mind and I'll fill it. I also agree with less game modes. Which will be needed to consolidate weight classes. Right now I'm on a server where the top leadership of the server was forced to take the happiness of the entire server into their own hands Due to such an imbalance. Tasked with creating Fair fights for smaller factions.
@@allthingsmiddleearth the smaller fellowships will activate some of our strongest traits as humans tribalism and pack mentality. Nothing ever feels better than feeling like you belong. think of some of the commitments and how far you were willing to go for your 1st group of real friends in the game. And of course the inactive system has to be addressed to keep these groups full. This happens by leadership having the ability to put up a vote to remove an inactive player. But also with this responsibility that lock people in weekend mode and vacation mode to keep them from this timer. The inactive goes back to Bag end. Then Cycles a active out of Bag end. Onto the server with somewhere under the avg so they're not a burden to ask for and they don't feel like a burden showing up. If the average barracks level is 5 on the server when they show up they start with 3 put it on a sliding scale. The first time I stopped playing I was just waiting too long in Bag end. Of course they have to qualify for the weight class to volunteer to step in.
This may be controversial but ads would help F2P. I do NOT trust NetEase to implement them properly if they chose to: they would have to be non intrusive which I can't see the devs understanding that. However, if there were completely optional (with no red marker saying unwatched ads) and hidden in the shop that would be great. Make the rewards worthwhile and make it so that if you get the season pass you get the ad rewards for free. That would bring in some revenue from F2P since some of them are spending no money whatsoever. Whales need their food and if the food got a bit bigger they might stick around. No krill = dead game.
V1 - Strategic game V2 - Math game, more money is precisely = more wins And each seasson is more rare so see fair batles, the seasson winners takes it all, s6 bellow go to trash title. Matchmaking makes more sense. Even the most p2w diablo immortal had this sub-groups of level power. And maybe they can put seasason with less factions if players numbers is the problem, good from east evil from west, rise to war dont follow lotr core since 1.0...
Its free to play and pay to win!!! I would prefer a subscription game for all. And some extra cash payments for cosmetics item. And to acess some factions but nothing that gives huge advantage to who pays more...
this version... u cant defend it... if barracks and stamina r the reasons why this game is f2p friendy, ull have to do better my friend, its undefendable, there r 10000millon more reason why v2 its not f2p and u know it....
I never said it was or wasn't. Sharing observations on both sides to get some constructive thoughts together. The one thing I do know is that there are games that are worse that Rise to War, so I am glad we're not in that place, but it needs to improve a lot.
If your new f2p will suck for at least 6 seasons I’m 10 seasons in and f2p is worse against krakens and larger whales but more even vs everyone else. Last season was my first in 2.0 and it was rough I barely broke 1mil prestige but this season it’s my first time over 2 mil. I couldn’t see myself starting and trying to gear and get respect on 4 comms since there are only a few good t2 and t3 are just way better than everyone else
Perple gear is so much worse then gold gear! In 1.0 perple gear was viable but now gold gear with 1 upgrade is beather then max perple. That should be changed
For me NRP is what killing the game . I understand all want play it . But i dont like it . I know you all told me its not LORE game But i think big improvmebe would be if you will be restricted by FACTION . If you pick GONDOR you can play only gondor troops . Or for mordor only orcs . Like in BATTLE FOR MIDDLE EARTH war of the ring style . But it means they should add more troops to each faction. Make troops usefull again like 1.0 . But its just my opinion. Also rewards at the end of season are joke too. Only elven hammer is good. And would be fun if they add some more fights instead of taking RING in all seasons . Maybe some second place style . Rewords or something like this . Also RING upgrade RING ABILITIES little bit more . Or at least make all 150 usefull .
@@allthingsmiddleearth yeah sadly not . evil side has some disadvantage now . I dont see lot of people playin evil. Also there s no NEW PLAYER comin to game . And Old players stop playin
This game is pay to win. When I start play I saw good think about game but the longer you play you see the game is pay to win. This kinda sad because I like this game and I don't have much money to spend exactly I lose a job. My opinion is gears and legend commanders is reason pay to win. Who don't have money is very hard
Nice video. The game has become so one dimensional. So many commanders in this game, 70 odd or whatever and everyone runs the same 4 to 6 commanders all running the same gear, the skills etc. There is no variety. All the gold weapons in the game and everyone runs the Axe, Raiments, Casque and Palantir. Look at you cheat sheet in all your recent videos - aways the same gear. How boring. This is the fault of the switch to 2.0 with the unlimited hammers and commander respect refund system. The countering system was a huge thing in 1.0 and allowed us low spenders to be impactful. We had to choose our hits though, look through fellowship reports and send the right commander. Now it's just click send, die, reload, repeat. This def needs a come back! Up to 10 minutes to take a tile, the crazy long march system, having reinforcements sniped...All this requires so much more time and attention. When am I supposed to do my actual day job lol! I'ma give up on this game. Sigh.
Ofc is PTW with zero respect on coms and zero gold items u cant scratch anyone now. b4 f2p dwalin could counter some commanders now its gold items that make difrence and golds doesnt drop from trees.... U need a lot of money to buy a lot of chests.
1 your argument is absurd. since the f2p player needs to give all the barracks and stamina to kill 1 p2v army 2 the only con now is more stars and upgrades on weapons, it allows you to kill anyone + now is the era of damage dealers so only they dominate this is super important + whales will always take more cells 200+ more easily and this also plays against your first argument as the barracks depend on resources. 3 the counter system of armies is now 10 times worse than in 1.0, before everyone countered someone and could be bypassed, but now all the rich play on horses (whales), others either fight once every 3 days or play with small units. What is the counter system when there are no large armies in the barracks? events before for weak "siege forts" events in version 2.0 "capture the castle first" ha ha Its absolutly P2W . but if you played from the release on f2p, you have a chance, a beginner can't really play without a donation, so the game doesn't have long left, unfortunately
My point is, it could be a lot worse, and in fact, it is in other very similar games. Imagine if whales had no stamina or barracks restrictions , they would literally never stop. I don’t disagree that there is a problem, and it needs addressed, but was just trying to show in comparison that it could be a lot worse
@@allthingsmiddleearth I can partially agree with you, but this is primarily the merit of the first team of developers) after all, the developers of version 2.0 proved themselves very negatively, I played with a moderate donation and now it is really difficult for me to play even after 15 seasons and imagine a beginner. this is absurd. + I'm disappointed because before I invested respect in t2 with t3 and now I have a lot of respect that I don't need if in total it's about 700 elements of respect t2 but at that time I don't have any p10 hero t3.
I love how the comunity show how they love the game and try to save the game from dev😂😂😂 Devs you should know that other games try to make ppl continue play the game but you guys always try to push ppl out of the game! You still have a chance to make it good I hope you heared more what community suggest! No one suggest their opinion because they hate the game! Dont forget customers spend money to you but you just take it away! this is bad but a lot of ppl still choose to stay with you so I hope you know what you should do and what you should not!
They're lucky that it's the only game that's built like that, and that the bonds we've created with the players make us continue to play despite all these drawbacks...
@@M.AcBeFly There are many games like this game (tiles battle) but not much for the US zone I guess. Infinite borders (Global, lot of player base but popular in China), 三國志 真戦 (this game have lots of player base but only China and Jap I guess) , Epic war(Sea region only) most of this game base on 1.0 system and base on 3kingdoms theme. And I agreed that the bond with people and LOTR theme are the only things that still make us play 😂
I believe your rambling comes from passion for the game. You're probably the reason some of the better changes even happen. I don't agree with F2P. If you enjoy a game you should spend some money. And you should suffer some consequences against people who do spend. Tile timer is fine imo. Gives people a chance to react.
True i wish they change this
True
Now how to improve the game:
Occupation timers:
Down to 30 seconds allows for people to react and guard or contest but only if they are nearby (Kinda like the old 5 sec animation timer)
Countering:
This probably wont happen but we can ask for commanders to take something like 4x or even 10x damage after their formations units die.
Matchmaking:
Knowing the amount if effort behind this.... this ain't happening.
It was safe to say that we lost that season and it was mainly because of that one player
Edit: I forgot to mention that do get something fairly decent you have to spend ages on the game.
That would be cool!
The best solution: Give everyone a respect reset and item change and go back to 1.0.
I’m down
A great improvement would be that the respect items and the same respect of the commanders could be transferred between them, so the FTP would have a t3 r10 that would be at the same level as the whales, another improvement is that the old % of chests return, to win invitations from t3
Have to agree with what your saying. I am a f2p or low spender, but it's only once I started to spend a little bit did my gear and coms start to improve. Timers definitely need reduced. Also the fort demo and build balance that up abit.
Hey there! What do you mean when you say get Dain to Zenith 6 what is zenith?
After r16, commanders go to Zenith level 1
What we really need is a better voucher system. Currently its so hard to golden respect items and you cant get any gold items with vouchers anymore which makes the game more P2W.
As you mentioned several times we also need a rework of troop damage, which would make the game itself way more interessting and dynamic.
The good part is that we got Elven Craftsmans Hammers so you can re-do your mistake or re-craft to try a new setup.
Again the bad part we didnt get any new commanders or new (really new) Events.
After 2.0 for me it's pray to play🤣
Purple gear needs an overhaul. The stat difference between gold and purple gear is too wide for f2p players.
@@TJzzl86yea what a fun way to play lol
@siseroscicero I agree it's not better. But it's still equal. At least it gives got a chance to respond.
With the old tile format, a whale would be at your door with nothing stopping them.
@@TJzzl86 yeah what I'm alluding to is that if it takes 5 min and 20 stam to take a enemy tile then the whaled enemy just needs to spend 10 stam and can completely stop my push, while being stam positive.
@spencergellner5471 become the whale then, problem solved.
I would like to see a meta that is shifting constantly. New commanders, new troops or gear being regularly released would accomplish this. Also, making it more accessible to increase commander respect again would help. It is sooooo slow to upgrade comms now. But we need innovative and creative ways to keep the game fresh.
I agree! We need meta changes!!
If you are not paying, you are the product :D. Whales love to solo hold a crossing against ftp that keep coming :D
(Unless you have the Meta team)
It's easy to occupy a tile, set your phone aside and come back hoping you survived, watching the timer just isn't entertaining. (Marching is also a slog)
But I think the biggest way to help F2P is to take away the randomness of getting commanders unlocked. Let us choose whom we want once we've saved 200 mathoms. There's nothing more disappointing than finally getting that guaranteed unlock and receiving someone unhelpful. (We miss you Sunind!😭)
Also, return all the respect vouchers to universal, allowing us to "decompose" all vouchers into the same fund, separating everything between purple, gold and orange just adds unnecessary confusion and makes growing your account even slower.
The devs should consider it
Yeah it’s tough. It’s definitely a team game
Sadly whatever we say that would improve it the devs won’t do anything.
You might be right, but I feel like it doesn’t hurt to try.
@@allthingsmiddleearth true plus you have some pull weight since you are a big part of the gaming for it. We can only hope
@@TalkingMuteToday I wish I did. They don’t seem to care what I think, but always happy to try lol
@@allthingsmiddleearth at least someone hasn’t giving up 🤣
Still my favorite content creator for this game by far!
What solutions do you think would help?
V1 - Strategic game
V2 - Math game, more money is precisely = more wins
And each seasson is more rare so see fair batles, the seasson winners takes it all, s6 bellow go to trash title.
Matchmaking makes more sense. Even the most p2w diablo immortal had this sub-groups of level power. And maybe they can put seasason with less factions if players numbers is the problem, good from east evil from west, rise to war dont follow lotr core since 1.0...
There is 1 solution: profile ranking… simple, the players play against their level of quality, standard and performance
On the current playerbase u would never get sever full like this. The sinplest way would be balancing out all comes and buffing t1 comms + purple gear
Its free to play and pay to win!!! I would prefer a subscription game for all. And some extra cash payments for cosmetics item. And to acess some factions but nothing that gives huge advantage to who pays more...
Remove cap from sweep exp from PvE. And raise troop damage. Or nerf damage deal from physical heros.
this version... u cant defend it... if barracks and stamina r the reasons why this game is f2p friendy, ull have to do better my friend, its undefendable, there r 10000millon more reason why v2 its not f2p and u know it....
I do think NRP bring added was bad. I wish they’d go back to RP only but I don’t see that happening.
1 your argument is absurd. since the f2p player needs to give all the barracks and stamina to kill 1 p2v army
2 the only con now is more stars and upgrades on weapons, it allows you to kill anyone + now is the era of damage dealers so only they dominate this is super important + whales will always take more cells 200+ more easily and this also plays against your first argument as the barracks depend on resources.
3 the counter system of armies is now 10 times worse than in 1.0, before everyone countered someone and could be bypassed, but now all the rich play on horses (whales), others either fight once every 3 days or play with small units. What is the counter system when there are no large armies in the barracks? events before for weak "siege forts" events in version 2.0 "capture the castle first" ha ha
Its absolutly P2W . but if you played from the release on f2p, you have a chance, a beginner can't really play without a donation, so the game doesn't have long left, unfortunately
It’s free to play, but pay to WIN
The mithril system is p2w
Seeing you on Facebook advertising it’s game is more then enough. NRP.. blasphemy
from playing on a couple servers this game is completely P2W.
I love how the comunity show how they love the game and try to save the game from dev😂😂😂
Devs you should know that other games try to make ppl continue play the game but you guys always try to push ppl out of the game!
And I agreed that the bond with people and LOTR theme are the only things that still make us play 😂
hate 2.0 now. 1.0 was definitely better. Just the 1 commander only and having counters... so much better
pay to win , allways has been...
I believe your rambling comes from passion for the game.
You're probably the reason some of the better changes even happen.
I don't agree with F2P. If you enjoy a game you should spend some money. And you should suffer some consequences against people who do spend.
Tile timer is fine imo. Gives people a chance to react.
P2W 100% Thtats why i stoped playing
Fair enough
