Every fellowship would then have a strength level and with a matchmaking system newer and less whaled teams don't get killed by much stronger opponents. This also will help players to make sure they are in a team that's a good fit for them, because before you join you could see the total strength and the average strength per player of the team.

I’ve been wanting a matchmaking system as well, but I think it should be based off how many gold medals a fellowship has. Like make matchmaking fellowship based where after a fellowship wins a season, they get a medal just like how individual players currently receive medals. These medals will stay permanently on the fellowship and will erase if a fellowship disbands. Something like that might be better than going off just the age of an account or their commander strength.
If you go to Mathom house, click the second option on the left that lets you select a region on the map to list commanders from that region, theres a score in the bottom right called influence. This is a score that comes from your respect levels. so we already have a score somewhere that could be used
I'm pretty sure I was the crazy person lol i get carried away at times. Weight classes = score ranges. from my experience with other video games. The larger the party the longer the match making seems to take. Especially long If your team is doing really good. Finding a equal to 25 people. Will be a lot easier than finding a equal to 100. Especially if the game if being tasked with finding that equal for every faction.
I like the idea, I think there also needs to be a way for newer players to elect to ignore the system in case they have a more powerful friend(s) they want to play with.
I would also like to reitterat my prior idea about a high roller server you have to opt into for better end of season rewards. This would "self match make". That and get rid of private teams so people have realistic expectations for a server going into it.
I think it would be better if we could have proper alliances. Im currently in a season where 1 kingdom has 200 whales who are managing to defeat 1000+ players at the same time. Yes you can for an alliance but that still doesn't stop them from attacking each others and it certainly doesn't help when planning an attack
Hey. Thanks again for your cogent commentary. - So, I always thought “Influence” was a scoring for experience & account development. Nobody even mentions it anymore. Could matchmaking use that as a mechanism for matchmaking? -);{>
It maxes out at lv90, which means it’s impossible to distinguish differences between a medium spender of two years and a Mega Kraken by just influence lv
They already have an unpublished scoring system for respect, it's called influence. It just caps out at a certain level. They could easily remove that cap though
We acctualy already have some kind of "respect score" Is the seccond mathom icon "Influence", Of course you can unluck all R2 commanders of the game and get same score as R10, but is something....
They really need to give priority to larger teams around 80 or higher members there is nothing more annoying then not getting your faction, splitting between factions, or backing out of a season because of group of 20 picks your factions so everyone cants get in. All they need to do is give large teams a couple hours to register a day at most but even just 1 hour is fine then open it for smaller groups
They should make something in order for each team to have an average season tag . That way s3 players could join s15 teams but s3 teams dont have to face s15 teams . It cant be that hard honestly !!
The fairest way to do matchmaking is max respect servers. Where if I join with a Z6 dain formation it can be temp/season restricted 🚫 auto lowering the respect and stats into balance with the max restrictions e.g max R10 server
Let say this gets implemented, what’s stopping the strongest teams from joining together as they are doing it now? This will just help them do it faster from the beginning of the season.
Hello, from the start with their survey, I only asked them to sort the players by level, it's the only game I play that is not classified. I think they can already classify the players by level of influence, when I see that I have 64 level of influence (cumulative respect for all our commanders) and that most are over 90 how do you want to compete ? I want to fight but there is a limit, when you have taken 2h30 to recruit and you fight you are dead, 2 hours of healing and the opponent is barely scratched, why will I continue to play?

The score shouldn’t be for ALL your commanders. I randomly have a Z4 Isildur that I don’t use but did use in 1.0 and that would really boost my score despite not even using him
Ideally I get your point but it’s probably too niche to be implemented system wide. There’s no way the devs would know each individual accounts main 4 commanders they use season to season. And I could “trick” the system them to let me into a smaller server if that’s the case. Ignore my R15 Dain and Z3 GTW, I don’t really use them anymore, my team is now R6 Gimli and Frodo and Eomer instead so base my score on that. You’d have to just leave it account total and know it’s not 100% accurate or declaring someone the best player or a top player. I could have a ton of respect into commanders not as good, but the game isn’t going to by itself just tell which 10 commanders they value for this score and the other 40 that are trash. A
I dont like the idea of strength of accounts being the main factor, I am a weaker player in one of the last evil rp teams and I still have a role. IMO there should just be incentive like more end of season rewards on a campaign that entice better teams to want to play specific campaigns more.
@@allthingsmiddleearth seems the way it’s going, in an ideal world match making would be good but just don’t see how it would work, how do you determine an entire fellowships worth against another when they have a wide range of players all at different strengths, and then match making in other games with millions of players they still have to stick bots in
@@CK-jv5mn I don’t have the perfect solution, but just trying to get things going in the right direction if possible. I think if the game went either RP or NRP completely there would be enough players to have a decent matchmaking system
@@allthingsmiddleearth there was talks about just being NRP when PBE came out so you never know, I agree things need to change though, if they can implement this without any negative impact then I’m all for it
I get that people want to win, but last 4 times I/we got destroyed but this scenario. ‘The strongest teams/fraction’ get together and fight the rest. Ow fighting whales is somewhat ok but try doing that with krakens when you need three of you to take one out. Season after season…. No thank you, I rather watch these videos and laugh my ass off that this is still going on….
Why do you keep complaining about your easy server? We invited to a massively competitive campaign and ally with you....... And you told us that your group needed an easy season for morale. You missed out on a season with non stop back and forth from day 5 onwards.
Not sure why you’re upset about it lol We lost 100 members and needed something that wasn’t a mega server. We weren’t planning on it being a dead server.
