@@Casting-at-shadows I thought in NSW you can still chase them, you just can’t keep them. Here in QLD we can still chase them as long as it’s in non-tidal waters.
@lordoffishtown4455 yeah it's only a no bag limit in NSW , but it gets hard to actually catch them in the creeks because most of them have moved down to the brackish water . Instead of catching 5 in 1 hour it's more like 1 in 5 hours haha.
@DrDitchpickle thanks mate , it was a Australian salmon ( it's called kahawai in New Zealand ) it's the first time I've caught one in Australia. They go hard .
Just read your comments mate . Didn't realise this was the Lane Cove ! I fish the Parra regularly , actually did today . Reckon thats pretty deep up the river mate ??? 🤔🤙
@@Casting-at-shadows I actually live in Parra , and can get to both the fresh and salt within a few minutes . You wouldn't believe what ya can catch basically in the middle of Parramatta ! ✔🎣
@@Casting-at-shadows they come right up to the ferry wharf where the weir is that separates the fresh from the salt . Even in winter Jewies come up . The closer down to the mouth though the schools get bigger . I fish usually very close to home , because its so convenient . Bass in the fresh and bream , flattys , tailor , whitng and the likes , even salmon , in the salt . Hen and Chicken bay is usual a good place to fish both landbased and in a boat . Hope that helps mate . Oh a friend caught a 65cm jewie a month ago at that exact weir at Parra .
Good to see you back. Another great vid. 👍👍👍
@lordoffishtown4455 thanks mate , I've been dying to get out for a fish , can't wait for bass season to open up again.

@davidshaul5265 I've been looking at targeting bream , do they go up the Parramatta River? Is there any area you would recommend?

Nice video but Get your fish back in the drink quicker- they suffer from oxygen depletion pretty quickly after a fight.
What river is this?
