    I've been so nervous about teaching young singers, you have helped me bring back confidence and fun in my approach to coaching. I didn't realize how emotional I could be feeling like it's actually possible to teach young singers with the same approach as adults, but with even more fun. I just ordered your book, can't wait to get my hands on it, I love pedagogy and want to make teaching my students the anatomy fun and interesting. Thank you!

    Hello Justin,
    As a primary school educator, singer and singing teacher myself, I would like to extend my gratitude for all your amazing work on this channel, which is a true gift to the world. I will go in depth whenever I find the time (and, yes, discipline).
    I cannot find, neither here nor elsewhere, two reliable techniques I could exercise and of which I'm in a dire need for an upcoming show in November: growling (think Louis Armstrong or Beetlejuice from the musical) and compression (think hard rock from the eighties, or simply metal music). Any plan to make a video about them, or any idea what to look for on the Internet?
    Thank you very much and keep strong as you seem to do!

    • @NewYorkVocalCoaching
      @NewYorkVocalCoaching  3 года назад

      Hi Norimaki! Justin really appreciates your kind words!
      For Compression, check out these episodes:
      "Vocal STRENGTH... In Letters" - Quick Singing Tips Ep. 21
      Ep. 104 "How To Sing With Vocal Strength and Compression"
      For Growling: We don't have an episode on this yet, but if you want to join Justin's live chat Sunday October 24th at 1PM ET, he can give you some tips to create the distortion you're after. More info on how to join is in our Community Tab!
      We hope this helps! -NYVC

    thank u so much! i struggle with my kids they run me over. how do u deal with kids who are miss-behaving?

    • @NewYorkVocalCoaching
      @NewYorkVocalCoaching  2 года назад +1

      Hi Marie! Unfortunately, this can go back to someone's parenting or the child simply not being ready for Voice Lessons. We can't really do much about someone's parenting, and it's tough to work with a child who isn't ready. But if voice lessons still need to take place, you might try physicality elements, games, a reward system, or find something the child really enjoys and incorporate that into the lessons (even if it has no relation to singing whatsoever!). We hope this helps! -NYVC

    Hi can you please make a video about how to bring out your voice, i know about mixed voice, i learned how to do that i know about chest voice head voice, i know about vibrato and belting and i know how to do those too, i also been doing lots of singing exercises. But out of all those teqniques im missing one thing which is the foundation of my voice, what are some teqniques to bringing out your orginal voice, do you just have to sing and not think about it or is their a exercise or teqnique to bring out your voice that way i can sound the same each time i sing and not sound diffrent every time. It would also be cool if you can make a video showing us were middle range is located in other words tender where tender is located, its one thing to know how to use middle range but its another to know how to sing with the correct singing muscles and spot. I guess thats what i was trying to say, i was trying to say if you can make a video showing how to sing with the correct spot in your throat and how to sing with the correct muscles, this is one thing teachers on RUclips arent teaching. Everyone teaches us how to use mixed voice and belting and what head voice and cheast voice is but they never teach us what muscles we should be singing in or the spot in the throat we should be singing in.

    • @NewYorkVocalCoaching
      @NewYorkVocalCoaching  3 года назад

      Hi Michael! There are many different ways to use your singing voice. It all comes down to learning about the different options, developing healthy technique, and then choosing how you want to sound. We recommend continuing to explore your voice and learning about the different elements of vocal technique. Over time, you'll learn what you like! As a start, you can check out our video Ep. 112 "What Is Vocal Technique?". We hope this helps! :) -NYVC
