its a shameful struggle that after 10 years, the time we put in sometimes ain't enough (for us or others )

Did anyone understand what he was talking about with the 4 on stage speaker stands and putting four microphones in them weighing about 50 pounds each for acoustics?

He may have said micro foam or lost track of his words.
I think he just means acoustic panels or absorption gobos to create something that absorbs reflection around the mic. He talked about it in some other interview I think it was the sound on sound article

The bit I heard about the stands was him saying, ultimately, that he uses a super-cardioid, dynamic mic (like a beta 58a). The pattern has three dead spots and you can surround the rapper with speakers at those points: directly in front of him and then 2 more speakers behind him - angled to his ears. The mic wouldn't catch the speakers that he's listening to (i.e. "take all the background out of the chain). Still have to deal 'the top' - the reflections coming from the 30ft ceilings. Could be wrong though, obviously.

Pretty sure he meant 4 blankets. He explained this a bit in past interviews
