I swear in every performance shop. There's always some random half taken apart 3000gt lurking in the background lol.
lmao so true
Thats the natural habitat of most DSM' era vehicles, especially a 3kgt ;)
I still own 1999 3000GT TT VR4. BRZ will be my next new car, and thinking Supercharger will be my choice of upgrade.
RIP
@@arkangelsklucifer did you get one?
The sprintex supercharger is the only supercharger for the 86 platform that sounds like a supercharger.
TripleTapHK not true lol
@@victorchea7671 What are some other ones that sound like this? I would like to know
@@charleyssss Sprintex, Edelbrock, Innovate, and Harrop. These are twin screw type superchargers which makes the famous super charger wine sound. The turbo looking ones are centrifugal and makes a lesser wine sound that most don't hear because of the overpowering sound of the pressure release / blow off valve
@@victorchea7671 I think both Edelbrock and Harrop uses TVS Rotors that are slightly more efficient but barely make a whining noise.
@@charleyssss but you don't get no woosh like centrifugal. So you still hear the wine. Some vids won't pick up the sound on a potato
That supercharger whine tho🤤
To drive a sprintex setup on this engine and in that chassis is an orgasm on wheels, you never get bored of it (speaking from 227 rwkw experience)
That s a sexy setup.
Any changes to the drivetrain?
did you upgrade the fuel system?
is this on a stock motor? the numbers are really nice
I’m thinking of getting a GT86 and now I’m thinking of supercharging it as well
I was doing some research for this supercharger, the website mentioned keeping the oem airbox for the install, do you have to make adjustments to change the intake? And what ecu did you use for the tune?
what do you mean adjustments to the change the intake? it fits right on. And you use the same ECU, you just tune it with your tuner. if your going for the 355, you should built a block. with the 210 kit, you can run stock boost 9psi, but if you want to go even more, you'll have to upgrade injectors and your fuel pump and consider maybe upgrading your block
Cuz I'm going to get the 335 for my TRD version FRS release series 1.0
IDK why everyone keeps saying the 335 will blow motors and you need a built block. Just because its bigger does not mean you have to run the blower at max output. Its a twin screw supercharger. Just swap the pulley and you can make as much (or little) boost as you like. The benefit of the bigger blower is that it is more efficient. 9psi on the 335 will make a little more power than the same 9psi using the 210 just because the 335 doesnt have to work as hard and create as much heat. You could slap a giant whipple blower from a V8 on here if you wanted. Just have to have the right size pulley.
Turbos are cool, and most people seem to want to use the centrifugal superchargers on these cars, but I feel like the twin-screw is the best candidate for this car. The big issue is torque, as in the stock car it doesn't come in until like 1,000 before redline. Lame! Turbos and centrifugal setups still rely on building RPM to make maximum power. No replacement for [positive] displacement! How is the dyno graph on this setup? I can only imagine the torque curve improved significantly
Well also a big problem is the strength of the transmission. I heard stock can’t really handle over 300 safety. I almost went centrifugal cause I wanted more power. But I also autocross. I want instant power in 2gear low rpms. The car is dead in low rpm even with bolt ons and e-85
So this is a fully stock engine except for the heads like no pistons upgrades or crank
Angel Ibarra i would deffinitely want to get stornger pistons and rods the fa20 in the wrx has problems with those due to the addition of boost
Hello Moto-East..... Is the engine internals stock or does it have new rods and pistons???
+Freelance Photography By NIKO Totally stock bottom end!
Moto-East Tuning are you worried about anything happening since the motor isn't built?
the 335 super charger requires a full engine rebuild, the 215 is fine for a stock engine
Stock internals?
It can handle it yeah
noob question here, the smoke at the end of the first pull, where's that coming from?
It looks like dust being blown off of the engine bay from the blow-off valve.
Steven this is a twin screw supercharger. There is no bov.
I think it's just burnt oil or maybe just random smoke of something burning off. It looks like it was their first pull so maybe it's cold and just letting off steam.
Thinkin the same
@@rkitekt16 That smoke is human natural oils that come off the hands when touching the hot parts of the engine bay. Very normal after doing car maintenance
What's the weakpoint on the stock motor?
+Gabriel Dalcomune wish they would answer your question
+Shane Tripp cause i wish to tune a brz
+Shane Tripp rods
A lot of builds above 350 hp break the stock clutch.
As long as the necessary safety measures is added these motors can take a lot of power.
E.g. Upgrade the radiator. Add add an oil cooler. And upgrade head gasket and studs. Should be ok.
How much would it make on pump gas?
about 250bhp and 210whp = nearly 50+ hp gain while using pump gas (Which is a very big deal)
@@Scirollo not true, this makes 270whp on premium gas.
@@gky3019 That's my mistake actually, I was thinking this was the 210 and not the 335, so you're correct
My 210 system with a full exhaust and intake makes 245whp and 208 wtq on 93
@@ethanryan5806 any supporting mods? hows the reliability so far
Subaru brz 335hp
theres no way this car would last with a 335 with no internal and fuel upgrades
is running the E70
