Diamant is definitely a fun and unique unit, and despite having lower spd compared to our more recent sword infantries, his weapon condition makes up for it, love the effects his weapon has to offer, and thanks to M!Alear's charge effect support, he's helped me out a lot in battle recently. One of the winners of this banner imo, alongside Alcryst.
Not really surprised, intsys dragging their feet with readily available modern fodder skills. It's partially how they make their money, but combined with the inheritance cap, it feels egregious this time around. At least we have Atk/Spd catch in the grail pool now...(on a unit I don't want to fodder lol)
Diamant imposes a "fair fight" by forcing himself and most foes to only strike once and without any percentage based DR...unless their spd is just that low or high that someone ends up doubling, that is. It is because of this that he actually wants to stack his spd depending on the foes he's up against.
Diamant may not be a godsword, but I'm glad he isn't since we've been getting so many lately, plus he makes a great counter against them. Also, his condition is amazing getting those stats and True Dmg, and even when he neutralizes guaranteed follow up for himself, the spd difference really helps him out. Thanks for the builds, can't wait for the Alcryst builds.
Another reason why FEH isnt very beginner friendly is how the F would you explain the difference between DR and True DR to a new player, as an experienced Feh player you can tell at a glance what is what but as a new player youre gonna have no idea which DR is pircable with deadeye or which DR gets halfed with Mag.Null Follow up. They should add the word True or Flat Damage reduction when talking about true/flat DR to make is a bit more clear, but fehs skill description and weapon description are overloaded with text these days anyways so its already hard for people to know whats going on.
I am thankful that Diamant is choosing to be his own thing within the sword infantry class type instead of being like Lucia, Felix, or Summer Fjorm and just stacking up Spd and having that be his bulk.

honestly, i think at max investment Diamant wants to go +def/res. if he can stack enough bulk to live a hit he will almost always nuke the enemy back. so rather than trying to deny the double he should focus on living to nuke
Is Galeforce an ok replacement for Vital Astra? I havent been able to get the skill but i want to use malear over falear. I have both and gave him times pulse 4. Honestly theres no unit i wont feed him so--
i was so excited about male alear i even forgot the alear kit is kinda "outdated" right now with all the sources of DR piercing that we received lately, i ended up kiIIing lyn for godlike reflexes (used the opportunity to get spd smoke 4 too cuz why not?) and male shez for the atk/spd oath 4 (thank god i had another m!shez) and gave him the bulwark too since i was already there, unfortunately he's still not THAT great and not better than diamant imo, but i'll still use him regardless cuz i like him
Been using max invest diamant A LOT in Summoner duels recently, and i will say he has been able to one shot everything and only dies to catria ball doubles and AOE specials, killing peoples raid bosses like fallen byleth, b!dimitri and lucia is so satisfying
I just got Bro to +1, and I’m happy for it already. Would Distant Storm (the inferior DC Atk skill) still work for him? Asking because I’m tired of not being able to counterattack.
The thing I don't like about rearmed weapons is that you can only give them to units that are necessarily worse than the rearmed unit itself. At that point, why even update an older character if they're still going to be outdated the moment you inherit to them? You'd still be better off using the rearmed character especially since they all have PRF skills now.
I have a question, does flash sparrow stack works with diamant's anything special cooldown skills? I think he has potential trigger special cooldown 4-5 skills
Diamant is officially inducted into the group of units that I have dubbed the "NO!-Blades" alongside OG!Byleths and Lucia. They are very meta by just being anti-meta. "Special Charge +1? NO!, Guard? NO!, DR? NO! Auto follow-up? NO!"
Note about a small misinformation in the video: Naesala has Null Follow Up in his weapon as a flier beast (and is easily among the best users of Beast Sense btw.)
NY Elm also has offensive Null Follow Up as a beast flier, but merging him up and investing high tier skills into him is a bit hard to justify, given how rare he is.
You misunderstood me 😅He has Half-NFU in his weapon, not FULL NFU. Offensive NFU is good for Player Phase but for mixed phase and for dodge tanking you need full NFU. Elm and Naesala boith only have offensive NFU which is not as good as NY!Lethe for example.
Diamant is a really fun unit imo. His condition is really easy getting all those effects, and giving him more def over spd works out this time around. And sure, M!Alear may be very similar to F!Alear and may have her weapon, but getting a free godsword with charge support is still really good to have.
If you are trying to tank with diamant, it’s best to run draconic aura over bonfire because nukes will favor debuffing his defense and usually don’t touch his atk
As a F2P player, I take base kit into account since I don’t have that much expensive fodder, this is why I like the female version way more because her base kit with close call and spd smoke makes her much better than make Alear imo, even if they both are virtually identical in every way

my opinion of this banner: 1.Both rearmed units, Eitr and Alcryst, are overated by FEH community. There are better fodder and units on the game, including previous rearmed heroes and other units as well. People like me, who got some good units to take the same roles as Alcryst (y!Innes, L!Lucina, Duo Chrom, ...) and Eitr (I have Nerthuz that does the same role, but she is better and fits better almost any kind of build, like Galeforce, Omnitank enemy phase, dual phase tank... and so on), we don't need these rearmed to advance further the PvP game modes or PvE content; 2.The true winners are Diamant (unique playstyle and mechanic as slow godsword) and Citrinne (better Sonya as instant special mage + general support for almost all kinds of teams that deal with bonuses). I sparked Citrinne and I'm happy pairing her in teams with B!Marth/B!Chrom/W!Cordelia/Bridal Catria/Nah/Noah; (she is immune to False-Start lol); 3. The male Alear is a good addition to the game, but female is way better as a fodder, because of Close Call 4 and Spd Smoke 4 (I didn't check their bst and stat distribution to evaluate them as units, so I suppose they are the same); 4. Zephia as GHB is a good Panic unit without using the common HP checks, a must have for f2p and/or newer players that didn't invested on similar characters. (I'll consider make her a +10 in the future, but I have other units as top priority); 5. Lapis is a ok demote. I hope she gets a good PRF weapon and refine in the future.
Interesting how Diamant specifically neutralizes effects that guarantee follow ups for both sides and not effects that prevent follow ups. So skills like atk smoke 4 and wary fighter 3 can still work in certain circumstances.
I made a miracle eitr team for this last sds and it was destroying people. 13 wins with the team and all my freaking opponents were in the 5500-7300 range. Competition was brutal this time around but still did great and nobody was banning the team because nobody thought eitr was a threat.
I could very much kill the other Fallen Byleth I have to give all her skills that are recommended including close call 4 if I just have that fodder… And also the Tribe Lyn manual for GLR and Spd Smoke… Lord don’t forgive me because I am about to make some stupidly broken choices

although, apart from B!Seliph and tanky blues, who the hell survives more than 1 strike from him that doubling is a concern.

just use a two cooldown special probably, probably glimmer because theres a lot of defense debuffs on libération already
Just use Glimmer/Moonbow instead, Vital Astra is optimal ofc but Galeforce is only for AR-O.

Well, it's mainly for spoiling your favorites which can hopefully at max investment can be just as good or little bit less good than the rearmed unit.

I don't think it's worth since he already disables DR% skills so Special Spiral 4 is very redundant. It's mainly just +5 true dmg and Ignis.
@@Pheonixmaster1 it's more for ignis spam as after the first ignis it's 1 cooldown which the weapon takes care of in combat for ignis

As long as he isn’t -def, he‘s good to go. You could consider a -HP +def via dragon fruits eventually though.
Yeah it can work tho -Spd can a bit annoying at times.

I feel like Lull spd/def would be the best b-slot for him. Allows him to more reliably deny follow-ups and deal more damage
I run my Diamant with Distant Ferocity and Mystic Boost 4 and he whomps anything you throw at him.

Was hyped to try out diamant in summoner duels S, then the one time he wasnt banned they had a SoV Palla which instantly killed him. Oops.
