  • After leaving Elektra Records, Dante Ross started working less behind the scenes and along with his partner John Gamble, went deeper than ever into production. Having known Everlast from the House of Pain and Rhyme Syndicate days, they began working on an album that would change all of their lives: Everlast's multi-platinum solo debut, Whitey Ford Sings the Blues.

I've watched all these so far & enjoyed them all, Mike is a very good interviewer, he actually let's the interviewee speak without needless interruptions & asks good questions, Dante seems to have an endless supply of great stories & anecdotes as well.
    Great stuff.

This album is the only one mentioned this season i didnt rock with. But after listening to Dante's WHHW season i gotta go check it out again.
Thanks again for another incredible season, Mr. Eagle. The other 3 are so satisfying for lots of us

Fascinating season. Shined so much light on a creator (D Ross) that played the background most of his career & I found it to be very enjoyable. Great time revisiting all these classic records and understanding Dante's perspective on all of them. WHHW continues to hit home runs, 3 "seasons" in. Big kudos to Open Mike for continuing to do this show & continuing to make it more available & accessible on other platforms like RUclips for those that don't have paid subscriptions to streaming services, etc.

Listening to Dante is reality interesting. He's been around Beastie Boys, Third Bass, and Everlast.

I'm a good screenplay writer. I could help write that. I got a screenplay I wrote, I'm working with a producer now. We're working on making it into a film. Mommy, I Don't Want To inspired by the Golden State Killer case.
