@@SuperReview Have you gotten your hands on the KZ AZ09 bluetooth adapters? I'd love to get something that converts a set of IEMs to bluetooth but can also do ANC...
i'm using that cable for my ZSR and i think it's great!!! I don't faced your issue about the connection. I used for running, my phone in the pocket and nothing bad happened. It's the great cheap product.
Recently purchased and returned. The hiss was intolerable when using for video calls (i.e. In the periods of silence as opposed to constant music) and the microphone would only pick up if held against my mouth. It was so quiet and keep being cut off by an aggressive noise gate. Thanks for linking to your BTR5 review, that's a new pathway for me to explore.
Just got this a few days ago. I agree on almost everything except for the connection issues. Mine connects solidly and haven't experienced any delays in connecting. Also tried moving away and still works even when I'm on a different room. Though this review is pretty old now so maybe KZ updated this cable already. But yeah, the wire kinda sucks.
I know this is a really old video, but I just wanna comment that the cables are also a weak point on the KZs. After quite a bit of abuse, my cable broke near the connector and I gotta hold the cable with my fingers to get sound
I remove the memory wire easily and reform the ear hooks. Remove the wire by cutting a small incision at the bump where you can see the wire sticks out at the end. Dont cut the whole way through because you want to use reform it using hair dryer or a heat gun. Pull it gently with small pliers, it should all come out and then trim the end pieces to make it look nice again. Do it both side and then for the ear hooks i just tape em to the shape i want and use a hair dryer to make the shape stays. So far the shape held on pretty good imo.
Yup I did the same thing, it's pretty easy. I recommend that first with the nails pinch the wire through that plastic thing and move it back and forth till the plastic thingy rips, grab the wire and carefully rip it off. For me that wire was so uncomfortable that my ears hurted until I removed it.
i just ordered my Aptx-HD for this series, same as this one sadly, has long cable, but the colour is a bit gray and you got what you want in this new version :) pre-curved hook and it seems from the some other reviewer it's seems upgrade from this aptx series, hope you can get full review for this new ones, it's around ~$35 @ amazon and also, subscribed ~
I also ordered it today for around, $18. You can pretty much almost always get it for less than $25 shipped if you don't mind shipping from AliExpress.
Please let us know when you find a good option, I was searching for true wireless and found soo many issues with connectivity and was not happy with the sound quality. After seeing your reviews in IEMs, I just got the CCA C10 and super happy, now you made me thing how to get this quality wireless with stable connection.
i saw the correct way of wearing kz bluetooth cable is a circle around your neck, so that makes the kz wire longer than trn wire. LEFT go to your ear and Right go to your right ear.
I believe there is now a new revision. I ordered mine from Gearbest about a month ago and I have no L/R channel problems, no connectivity problems even when I am in the next room from the phone (this may vary piece to piece) and the biggest difference is that while the overall cable lenght is about the same, control / battery modules are much further from the earpice they actually sit comfortably on my neck / shoulders and I don´t feel its weight. Sound quality from this combination (ZSR + BT cable) is so much better compared to about every budget-ish competition, even for several times the price. One thing I would like to have is the thicker flat cable around the neck like TRN has. I believe it would hold them in position much better. But I usually just tuck mine under the shirt and its okay. For 28$ combined its a great value / sound quality.
Is there a Bluetooth cable or a pair of Bluetooth neckband headphones that do not have noticeable hiss when not playing music? I hear that on both my Sony WH-XB400, and my Apple BeatsX. I initially got the Sony, which has a terrible audio hiss, and later the BeatsX thinking Apple did a better job, but unfortunately I haven’t found a satisfying way to play audio on my jack less iPhone.
And again. Thank you sooo much for the video. I almost ordered this one 8 hours ago but ended up ordered only the USB Type- C upgrade cable. And now I won't regret I didn't order this. And since I also have the same Pixel, your reviews on these listening with the phone will totally help me a lot. I hope the Type- C cable turns out okay. Your videos and reviews rock!!!
I just got the kz aptx bluetooth adapter plus and the pods dont dangle, they lay on my neck. Also the sound is perfect. Pretty amazing tbh. The signal strength is good too i left my phone on the table and walked all the way to my room wich is about 5 to 6 feet away and the signal never cut off, the only bad thing is that when it is at max volume you can hear the static, but tbh i never go 100% high volume so its good.
I just bought this cable, I thought it was me with the sound crackling and static coming from them. Plus the preform hooks are a pain they constantly moved and I have to rebend them alot.looking for something else
I just go mine. Listened to them from ~30 feet away, never had a drop out or change in quality, which is pretty good. I found a very low level noise level with nothing playing. Even with some DDD classical music playing between tracks there is still that 'very' low noise level. But you have to really focus to hear it. It doesn't seem to change with volume level (over a comfortable range). I use Shure 215 earbuds. I find that the sound level needed for listening is around 30-40% of max. The 'next/previous' track method is pretty annoying. Yes, the cable is TOO long. I got a little O-ring and used it as a clip.
Just bought this cable directly from china for around 12$ dollar with shipping. And also a ZSR for around 26$ dollar. I hope those two will sound well enough for me.
Bro I think you got a defective kz wire. Mine connects at even 50 feet when in line of sight and I don't get drop outs in my pocket. Good review though
I've used the aptx for a while and my main issue with it, is the soft material of the ear hooks. The later version doesn't have the memory wire, but it doesn't have a firm shape on the hook, so the ear hooks lose their shape so quickly and there's next to nothing to bring it back to shape.
Yes, a KZ adapter with MMCX will work on Tin T3s. Not sure about battery life, I haven't used the cable enough to have a good sense, so I'd just go off of what they claim.
I wish I had seen this video before buying trn cable. I can atest to sound quality it is really noticeable degradation compared to normal cable with 3.5mm jack. Note I bought mmcx version to go with my Brainwavs B400. Sound quality on trn cable with B400 is worse than cheap Bluetooth earphones Taotronics bh16 which I actually really like. Keeping in mind that bh16 costs around 40ish and B400 around 150-200 £/€/$. That's how bad trn cable sound quality is. I agree on design and fit, trn works really well in that department. If you want Bluetooth get the fiio btr 3 Bluetooth dac amp. Youre not gonna get that huge quality loss. In fact, likely to be a noticeable upgrade from your phone 3.5mm jack
Soo both sucks? Any better alternative? I kinda like the design of TRN. You know, the weight is around the neck. Is there any alternative with better sound quality?
So what about the SBC bug with android Oreo? Afaik, it has not been fixed and doesn't that means ppl buying this still get SBC quality audio, which is the lowest-end bluetooth codec, making it a worthless purchase, or am I misinformed?
Help me.. there's a problem with my kz bluetooth.. suddenly it's undetected on my laptop.. but my phone can detect the bluetooth.. can you help me and tell me what is wrong with my bluetooth? Or what should do to mw laptop so it can connect again? 😞🙏
Mm, I didn't compare them directly, but I think the KZ cable + ES4 will sound better than Anker. Different sound, though. Anker is a pretty consumer-friendly tuning, solid bass, solid vocals, a bit of upper-end energy. The ES4 is a bit different, bigger stage, maybe bigger bass, a warmer sound signature.
Great review bro big fan of your work but can you review new Kz zsn metal earphone they just released it and please also check out qkz earphone vk1 and vk2 and make a comparison video of them please
used this for months.issue is just reverse pin but connection is good as long as its not like over 5 meters away from your player and good 6-8 hours of music playtime and even while gaming
How it is to connect with another device? You have to repair them every time u want to switch devices, or u just tap “connect” in the Bluetooth options?
Will really depend on the sensitivity of your earphones. If you're using KZ ZSN Pro or ZS10 Pro, they're very sensitive and will hiss on a lot of sources.
Did you have problem with the volume on the kz cable? I own this newer style kz bt-cable and I find the volume being unbearably loud. I paired the cable with as10 like you did. I like to listen to music with relatively low volumes. I can manage barely to listen to it one click from 0 and for shorter periods 2 clicks. Also I found the channels to be reversed. Is that trn cable any better with the volume? Is it as loud?
The sound is adjusted through both your phone and inline controls. You can leave the sound at max on your phone and drop it to level 1 or smth on the earphones and if it is still too loud for you, you can drop down the volume on your mobile too.
This is a good suggestion. The TRN cable syncs volume with my Pixel 2, but the KZ cable has its own volume level. With the AS10s, I can get them pretty super quiet if I have both the phone + the cable at low volume. That said, two things: (1) The volume of the voice prompts ("Power on") don't seem to follow the volume setting of the cable, so they're almost always very loud. (2) There is an older version of the KZ cable -- I saw a review by TechManZ that said it didn't get very quiet. The AS10s are definitely the most sensitive IEM I've heard, so if there's a headphone that'll be loud, that's it.
Now that you mentioned about it I tried the cable with as10 again. And now the volume sync is off. I kinda remember last time I connected the cable to my phone that it was in sync... Well if this continues working with separate volume settings these are workable with. Thanks a bunch Loic Cangy!
KZ AZ09 Pro's have subjected my after-market cables and BTR5 to a bit of dust. I use the AZ09 Pro's daily, for both home and office. One set modified for B-pin to pair with S12, Olina, T3+. The other left factory C-Pin for use with TKZK Waves. The PRO variant is often on AliEx sale for $26-$28. With a Qualcomm QCC3040 chip, connectivity is excellent. Easy to pair too and incredible battery life. Plenty of features (CVC, TWS+) and AptX/AAC/SBC codecs, too. PS: IMO, both AZ09 and AZ10 are crap compared to AZ09 Pro. Also, CCA BTX should be considered as the action/sports oriented variant of the AZ09 Pro.
Does this model work with the kz zst? Cus im kinda confused since when i searched it up, each models has different pin, but when i go to buy it, it seems like i have to get certain models for each kz earphones i buy
Yeah, it'll work. KZ makes a lot of different earphone + cable combinations, but they all use 2-pin connectors. Just the fittings are sometimes different. This cable's fitting is pretty generic and works with every KZ I've tried.
Does this support kz EDX? I've searched on google about my earphones and it says that it it dont have QDC design... And i have no idea what that means not can find it online. EDX have 2 pin 0.75 mm. Thanks for the response
I've got the KZ cable with mmcx connector for my Tin Audio T2's. For me they work good, no problems with connection and i could not tell if there was a big difference in sound between the BT and original cable. Also the battery life is pretty good +/- 6 hours. I bought them for 9€ and would give them a 4/5 rating because of the cable.
@@SuperReview i don't notice any hiss at low volumes and even between two songs I can not notice it. I only notice it after the 'power on' sound but I think that's just the quality of the short audio fragment. Thanks for your reviews by the way!
hey man, do you think the bt3 is compatible with kz zsn/zs10 and their respetive pro models? i'm really considering the bt3 over the kz variants. thanks!
Thanks for the review, I have the old KZ BT adapter (rounded plug) with battery and controls on one side and had problems keeping the pins in my TRN V80, had to use elastic bands ! Good sound though. I just got the TRN BT3 and the fit is a lot better BUT there is a huge hiss/white noise that you can hear when the music is quiet or when you hit pause. Don't you have that with yours ?
@@SuperReview Thanks for confirming. I'll go back to my KZ BT adapter but I don't remember being annoyed by that hiss at all. So I pulled them out (and trimmed the rubber on the end and now they hold fine on my TRN V80) and there is absolutely no hiss I can hear when I pause. My TRN BT3 might be defective !
As an update the unhelpful AliExpress seller (AK Audio store) is claiming I got the wrong pin size version, hence the problem, hehe...they really stop at nothing.
@@SuperReview As you say ! I've had confirmation on Reddit now that someone with the "correct" 0.75 version has the exact same "hiss" problem with the TRN V80. Which IEMs do you use the TRN BT3 with yourself ,
My ZSN Pros are pretty bassy with the default silicon tips. I don't like the sound of them with those tips, though, so I put on foam ones and in my opinion everything improved. Bass became more clear instead of the weird bass-boosty effect they had before and the mids quieted down a bit.
I bought this cable last month from a seller from China and it didn't have the drop out and L/R channel issues. I guess I got the newest stock. You can actually remove the memory wire with some modifications.
@@SuperReviewIt's covering is just like removing a wire shrink wrap. The other end of the wire is tucked under the pin connection covering so I cut it with pliers just before it gets tucked in.
Have you tried the FiiO RC-BT Bluetooth cable with mmcx connection. It sounds great with no color and does a great job powering my Tin HiFi T2 Pros and Shure 425 IEMs. It's only $32 on Amazon and it's just as good as the Shure BT cable I spent a $100 on.
Got the zs10 pro.. and the aptx hd bluetooth upgrade cable.. the zs10 pro sound great with the wire but sound like shit with the bluetooth cable.. i wonder why
@@SuperReview i got not just aptx connection, i get aptx hd connection. Just dont know why these headphones sound bad when connected with bluetooth.. same goes when they connect to my phone. (Zs10 pro and 1more bt anc headphones). 1more headphones sounds way better but mids is noisy, zs10 pro sounds like it is no where better than those cheap ass headphones. Both of them sound way way better with wired connection
@@SuperReview its not Hiss, no hiss at all.. its the overall quality. The sound quality is not better than those headphones came with cheap phones. The headphones sound cheap when connected to the bluetooth cable. 😫 I may try connect it to my sony bluetooth receiver from few years ago and try.. just too bad there are cables hanging with the sony bt receiver. But at least it wont sound as bad
@@SuperReview LOL with the sony bluetooth receiver from few years ago(sbh 50), it sounds far better than the bluetooth cable from kz. no hiss, no delays, sound quality is almost as good as connected to the device (sony nw a50) itself. well, no choice but stick to this setup since it sounds way better.
Thx for the reviews been watching your reviews etc t Since I started getting into IEM’s, what if anything is about theses days for BT 2 pin cables, I use fiio btr5 as my mobile dac and bt, are there any good bt cables
I really like the soundbuds slim+. But it is $70 in India. Should i buy those or any better wireless earbuds around this price range availabe in amazon.in? Please help
i want to know which one is better for sound quality, is it KZ APTX-HD Bluetooth 5.0 Module Upgrade Wireless Cable or KZ AZ09TWS HD Bluetooth Ear hook?
Are you reviewing the new KZ BTE? I got them recently and I think they are pretty good for the price. The cable build looks exactly the same as these only the earbuds are built in and non detachable.
im not sure but its basically non modular like the Ankers/dudios its built in the wire. Another thing is it has a bass boost function if you press the volume up and down at the same time.
I haven't noticed any hiss at all I mainly use it on an s9+ and a samsung tv nu8000 working well so far. Honestly I had low expectations for these lol but was pleasantly surprised by the performance.
hi , i like your reviews . do you have any idea why i experience slight delay when playing pubgm ? but when watching videos i dont experience any delay. btw, im using kzn zsn with the bluetooth module and my phone supported aptx .
I bought the KZ apt-x HD cable as soon as I saw it on AliExpress. Has a pre formed hook now (so does the new stock cable that came with my AS10). I was waiting for APT-X HD support or AAC support (I guess we can't expect LDAC from kz). Seems like it's finally there.
If you have a budget get the Sony MDR- XB75AP one its is the upgrade version for XB55 you will be satisfied with the bass if you are basshead. Totally worth it.
Super* Review I believe the Yinyoo cable is not a clone, and I’m planning on purchasing it, so maybe you should check it out or compare it to this cable
Thanks for the review man. I was thinking of getting the KZ cable, but after hearing about lost connections and seeing how akwardly they sat on your neck, it's a no buy for me... I wish the TRN had beeter sound quality... On that note, do you have some other "bluetooth cable" with solid sound quality to suggest (it doesn't have to cost 10-15$ like the KZs)?
I just got the KZ cable with MMCX connector somehow they fixed the length now it's doesn't dangle from your ears and the connection is somewhat better although it's not the best.

great review as always.. can u make a review of Aukey EP-B40 vs Anker Soundcore Spirit comparison please?
So how is it in comparison to the Anker Slim+ (especially for sound)? I am wondering if I get the ES4 with bluetooth cable or the Anker Slim+
Great review bro big fan of your work but can you review new
Kz zsn metal earphone they just released it and please also check out qkz earphone vk1 and vk2 and make a comparison video of them please
Thanks for the recommendation on the ZSN, didn't know that was announced. Looks kinda cool in purple 😎
its normal to have some delay over bluetooth connection
used this for months.issue is just reverse pin but connection is good as long as its not like over 5 meters away from your player and good 6-8 hours of music playtime and even while gaming
Dang, sounds like you got a better copy than me.
Hey man! Do hear white noise/hissing noice in KZ AptX BT cable when you pause music then it will gone after a few seconds? Is it normal? Thanks!
Yes, that's normal -- that's noise from the amp, which turns off about a second after you stop playing music.
Those are BT 4.2, I bought new KZ cable BT 5.0 and connection quality is so good i hear from 10m away trough couple walls. But still no neckband
How it is to connect with another device? You have to repair them every time u want to switch devices, or u just tap “connect” in the Bluetooth options?
Will this work with the KZ ZAX
Yeah, should be compatible.
It's the hiss that kills this cable for me. So is there a better option for KZ IEMs in 2021?
Will really depend on the sensitivity of your earphones. If you're using KZ ZSN Pro or ZS10 Pro, they're very sensitive and will hiss on a lot of sources.
@@SuperReview I'm using ZSTs
Also would it sound better then style 4 3.5 jack. Dont know the output but its not as good as ipad mini 2
KZ EDX should be using C-pin connection, so you can find a variant of this cable providing C-pin. Then you should be fine.
Lucky! Frankly I'm not surprised if some units have good connection quality and others don't. How's the hiss on yours at low volume?
@@SuperReview i don't notice any hiss at low volumes and even between two songs I can not notice it. I only notice it after the 'power on' sound but I think that's just the quality of the short audio fragment. Thanks for your reviews by the way!
I notice the white sound when it connected to the zsn pro
Yeah, ZSN Pro is pretty sensitive, and most Bluetooth amps hiss.
hey man, do you think the bt3 is compatible with kz zsn/zs10 and their respetive pro models? i'm really considering the bt3 over the kz variants. thanks!
Yes, if it's 2-pin, it'll work.
I just found out these adapters existed and my mind is literally blown
ZSN Pro X gang where you at
🤙
Is this compatible with the KZ ZS10 Pro? (Pardon me, if you've already answered this question - I wish YT would add a search option for comments!)
Yes it is. Get 2-pin version.
@@SuperReview Thanks a lot!
That shirt is awesome. Can you tell me the brand?
Uniqlo!
My TRN BT3 also has that hiss when there's no music. So does the KZ cable, but it's less prominent.
@@esca4ever ☹️
@@SuperReview As you say ! I've had confirmation on Reddit now that someone with the "correct" 0.75 version has the exact same "hiss" problem with the TRN V80.
Which IEMs do you use the TRN BT3 with yourself ,
Do you get a hiss with these whenever sound plays? I got some TRN BT10s for my V80s and am pretty bummed at the noise floor
if you find a hiss-less or low-hiss model can you post here please?
Super*Review. Which are the best "base heavy" kz Buds?
Thanks 👍👍👍
They're all bassy :P
My ZSN Pros are pretty bassy with the default silicon tips. I don't like the sound of them with those tips, though, so I put on foam ones and in my opinion everything improved. Bass became more clear instead of the weird bass-boosty effect they had before and the mids quieted down a bit.
I bought this cable last month from a seller from China and it didn't have the drop out and L/R channel issues. I guess I got the newest stock. You can actually remove the memory wire with some modifications.
How hard to remove the wire?
@@SuperReviewIt's covering is just like removing a wire shrink wrap. The other end of the wire is tucked under the pin connection covering so I cut it with pliers just before it gets tucked in.
Mine has horrible connection as well. Constant cut outs and stutters even with phone an arms length away.
Any thoughts on the moondrop littleblacks?
No, I haven't used them, not too impressed with most of these Bluetooth adapters.
I'm planning to buy TRN BT3 whats the pin length thats compatible with ES4 0.75mm or 0.78mm
KZ is usually 0.75mm.
I haven't tried it, no, but I probably should. Decent connection?
Hi, I have the CCA C10 earphones, are those 2 wires compatible? Thanks
Yes.
Got the zs10 pro.. and the aptx hd bluetooth upgrade cable.. the zs10 pro sound great with the wire but sound like shit with the bluetooth cable.. i wonder why
Are you getting an Aptx connection? May vary by phone.
What's the change in the sound? ZS10 Pro is pretty sensitive, I wouldn't be surprised if it picks up some hiss from the adapter.
Hello is the trn cable (the one that you compare) is compatible with kz zsn?
Yes, it is.
I'm using them with the KZ ZSN. They sound great!

No.
Super* Review That sucks haha. Thanks ! 😆
Are you reviewing the new KZ BTE? I got them recently and I think they are pretty good for the price. The cable build looks exactly the same as these only the earbuds are built in and non detachable.
Oh interesting, which earbuds are attached?
im not sure but its basically non modular like the Ankers/dudios its built in the wire. Another thing is it has a bass boost function if you press the volume up and down at the same time.

I haven't noticed any hiss at all I mainly use it on an s9+ and a samsung tv nu8000 working well so far. Honestly I had low expectations for these lol but was pleasantly surprised by the performance.
Can we trigger Google Assistant from KZ Bluetooth ?

Just saw the video description. You recommended ES4 and TRN BT cable combo. 😃
@@RichardLadiana Yup, I've used them together, a good combo IMO :)
Can you try with new one which is have csr8675
I bought the KZ apt-x HD cable as soon as I saw it on AliExpress. Has a pre formed hook now (so does the new stock cable that came with my AS10). I was waiting for APT-X HD support or AAC support (I guess we can't expect LDAC from kz). Seems like it's finally there.
Im aravind, And i love bass more mostly listen to edm, trance, bass boosted songs
Which is the best for bass??
Sony MDRXB50AP or KZ AS10
Sorry, I haven't heard the Sonys.
The kz as10 have excellent bass but for that style id look into the zs6 or zs7 for more bass
If you have a budget get the Sony MDR- XB75AP one its is the upgrade version for XB55 you will be satisfied with the bass if you are basshead. Totally worth it.
There are two KZ bt cables.
You have the newer model :3
I might get the trn bt3

@@allencondes 🤔
Thanks for the review man. I was thinking of getting the KZ cable, but after hearing about lost connections and seeing how akwardly they sat on your neck, it's a no buy for me... I wish the TRN had beeter sound quality...
On that note, do you have some other "bluetooth cable" with solid sound quality to suggest (it doesn't have to cost 10-15$ like the KZs)?
I haven't tried any in a while, but haven't found anything great yet.
I just got the KZ cable with MMCX connector somehow they fixed the length now it's doesn't dangle from your ears and the connection is somewhat better although it's not the best.
Try the Fiio RC-BT for the alternative.
