im my opinion Katherine has been always for Stefan and Elena is the one that Damon has waited for years they belong to each other
i think the last scene is my favorite delena’s. he was totally different, he was kind and the chemistry between them was absolutely amazing. the song was perfect for that moment
The last kiss here is probably my favourite in the show. It epitomises the entire relationship dynamic between Damon and Elena. We arguably see Damon at his most vulnerable. He is fighting to do the right thing by her while she symbolises the ultimate temptation to do the wrong thing. He deeply desires her but he holds himself back. It is ultimately what makes him worthy of Elena. The fierce love he harbours for her is that which redeems him in the end.
But if you think about it he let his brother have her in the first place but Stefan acts like he owns her wonder if he ever finds out Damon met her first
@@ryanpurplenintendoeater9869 Stefan is led to believe Damon first saw Elena at the cemetery in the pilot episode. That's why Damon mentions the fog when Stefan mentions the crow. She was talking to Stefan about the fog and the crow at the cemetery. He then makes it sound like he and Elena met at the house when he kisses her hand in front of Stefan. I don't think Damon ever told him. He's very protective of his memories.
When they dance in the street where they first met... that's one of my favorite Delena scenes. I cry and smile at the same time.

While I do think she loved Stefan, I don't think she was ever in love with Stefan. I think that's why she had such a tough time understanding her feelings for Damon. It's the way she words things. She didn't know what it felt like to fall until she fell for Damon. Stefan already knew, he just didn't want to let go. That's why he spoke of "before" during their breakup scene. He knew how she felt about Damon "before" she turned.
i definitely agree with you. even if they were 'in love' it would only have been puppy, young love. mostly it was a deep respect and friendly love. the mirage of the 'instant love' that they had was so indicative of simply being enamored in the moment with the idea of being in love, compiled with the effect of the original doppelganger/original vampire spell brining them together. real true love is not instantaneous, it is something that takes time because it is a confusing feeling-resentment to anger to lust to friendship to love. and trust, and challenging one another. stelena had none of that. saying you're in love when you have no backbone on which it blooms is shallow, and immature. they were starstruck teenagers under the effect of a spell, desperate to feel love to escape their grief-elena even admits this. but a love like that breaks completely apart when you realize you don't know one another at all-and we see them lie (stefan mostly) to one another the whole time to try and preserve and upkeep the guise of that love. delena went through many tests of trust and honesty from the beginning, and were never afraid of ruining an image of one another.
@@nobodysXghost Damon sired her she never had a choice, while she was human she always chose Stefan but once the sirebond became a thing she lusted after Damon not out of love but lust.

@@nobodysXghost as a human she may have kissed him but she always chose Stefan what made her list driven was the sirebond and the writers wrote thawing to make Delena happen.
@@yusufraage8554 your logic makes no sense. delena happened, that is a fact. elena chose damon and never looked back, didn't matter if she was a vampire, a human, without memories, any way. she loved him before she turned and it is heavily implied that she chose stefan out of guilt and fear and the immense pressure he put on her. she openly says under compulsion that she no longer loved stefan in that way. people change and grow and who they chose one time in the past is not at all a reflection of where their feelings are in the end

Yeah and everyone calls damon selfish. And undermined he tried his best to stay away from elena when he found out she was sired to him. If big mouth Caroline would have waited elena was going to tell stefan how she felt for damon and what happened
Lusting after her when she was human but not getting her. But now she is a vampire that Damon sired he was to be the good guy and give her choice where was that choice when he turned her into a vampire while she didnt want to be a vampire.

This entire sire bond storyline runs alongside Tyler's. When they first found out he was sired, he didn't think he could be fixed either. It wasn't until he bit Caroline against his will that he reached out to her father. Sometimes help doesn't have to come from a witch. That's why Damon and Elena weren't meant to give up on eachother. They'd figure it out just as Tyler did. One claim from a witch that the bond can't be broken, and they're trying to push Delena apart. That's like telling Tyler to leave Caroline and never see her again. He turned 100 times, until it wasn't painful. That's why Elena had to turn off her humanity.

I LOVE Team Delena SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. Damon deserves to be loved by someone and that someone is Elena. Stefan is a huge BITCH, that's why he didn't get Elena. ToBeHonest, neither of them deserve Elena, they just love her because she looks like Katherine. If she didn't look like her, they could care less. But if I had to choose, I would choose Damon and Elena. They met first anyways.They are ment to be together.

Well you kinda do meet people for their looks like how do you just go up and talk to them to meet them in the first place? You notice them for how they look and then you look at their personality so she got their attention by looking like Katherine but they love her because she's Elena. Delena forever and I like Stefan too but Damon is better

Damon doesn't like Elena looking like Katherine. In 1x11, he told her it was creepy that Stefan was dating her when she looks like Katherine. In 1x22, he told her the period look didn't suit her because Katherine is the period look. When she acts like Katherine, he says as much. He loves Elena. Her looking like Katherine had an impact where his humanity is concerned because he fell in love with a vampire. When he meets Elena for the first time, he's seeing Katherine's human double. Elena basically reminds him of who he used to be. It's one of the many ways she makes him feel human. Treating him like one makes him fall in love with her, deeply.

Elena was the one always calling the shots. "Your choice, Elena. As always." It's hot seeing her finally play the submissive. "I want to throw you in my bed and never let you leave." Just do it, Damon. I'd have no problem with it.
a consuming true love is submitting to one another. if you see the way stelena were together, it was very vanilla and traditional missionary and stilted like a married couple, her as a bottom and kind of just letting it happen without seeming very aroused and definitely not aggressive. but in their relationship, there was this manipulative guise of her calling all the shots 'your choice' but it was really quite paternalistic in not respecting her enough to have an adult conversation about decision making, meanwhile stefan is hiding all these things from her and later going against her choices. with delena they were both switches, submitting and dominating on and off, passionate and wild but also tender. in their relationship both opinions were equally considered and they actually talked about things together and nothing was left unsaid. they submitted to one another and through that submission they dominated one another as well, and it was consuming in that they consumed one another and grew as human beings from their consumption of one another.

Didn't you see that even when she erased Damon's good memories, she fell in love with him again and didn't go back to Stefan? and that even when she drank the cure and became human again, she kissed him, showing her love in the same way or even more???
You Stefan Stefan fans are like him, you love lying to yourself. They do not conform to what was explained and shown on the show, several times, making it very clear. prefer self-deception. and they continue to be stubborn and inconvenient in the comments.
