Then on top of that Stefan sacrificed himself so much for Damon and his ungrateful ass ain’t even appreciate it until the legit last episode. Damon is selfish asf and was a crappy brother 90 percent of the time

Damon has known about Elena's feelings for him since the Smoky Mountains because she chose saving him over saving Stefan. Elena words her love for him the safest way she can. She's admitted her love for him several times in season 3, but it's worded at her comfort level. That's why he flirts more, and even dares to kiss her. He knows she'll not only let him kiss her, he knows she'll kiss him back. I think his smirk has more to do with Katherine's comment in Masquerade. Damon knows how deeply Elena felt that kiss, and he didn't need to kiss Katherine for her to feel it.

M Moreau because, they were an actual couple, and they argued once, or twice, ergo, they're "toxic" it's three years later, and the fact that people still call them toxic, amazes me.
They weren't toxic they still made each other better Damon pushed Elena made her stronger as a person and Elena changed Damon for the better made me a better person yeah they had ups and downs and yeah they both did horrible things but they were always there for each other
Bad writing, Julie was planning on putting her back with Stefan, but season 6 was Nina's last. They really couldn't bring Delena down off the Shippiest Ship Pedestal because of the natural awesomeness. Ian did an amazing job at bringing Damon to life, and anyone with a brain cell knows the show would have tanked without him. Anyway, yeah, they were trying to create toxicity out of thin air, and it was flat out terrible. Love is love, and that's all there ever will be to it.

The sire thing made NO sense. She stayed with Stefan etc. when she was supposedly sired to him. Over and over people said it was about literal behavior not feelings and everyone ignored that. The whole thing was stupid. Should've just let us enjoy them being together for a flippin minute.

I have seen a lot of couples in other shows but no couple can beat these two. The way they stare at each other makes me feel like there is some deep-rooted emotional connection between them not just lust😍😍😍. I love the moment when damon says for wanting what I want and the music goes ooo ohh ohhh and elena reminds him not to go there with her little head shake. Damon cheekily agrees with her saying "believe me brother's girl and all". He starts to walk away and then he turns back advancing towards her saying if I feel guilty about something then I will feel guilty about this and finally kisses her. The whole push-pull thing , the foreplay and the amazing build-up to their first official kiss easily make it the best first kiss of any couple. The writers should be given enough credit for coming up with this scene😍😍😍😍😘😘😘I can watch it a million times and not get bored. Nina and Ian's acting were so surreal here. 😍😍😍😍

Damon finally admitted to Elena about feeling guilty for loving her. Stefan saving his life made him see that it was a serious thing..being in love with his brother's girlfriend. And you can just see how much he wanted to hate Stefan for protecting Klaus but then couldn't when found out the truth. Which explains his guilt for loving Elena. He wanted to be mad at Stefan so he could let go of his guilt, but he then realized that he couldn't. He didn't care about the guilt before, but now he did. And he chose to stay guilty because he wouldn't have been honest with either of them about his feelings if he had walked away.
Everyone has their own opinions on this, but I don't think Damon intentionally did this to say like "cool, Stefan's gone, I can steal his girl now." Maybe in the beginning he treated Stefan and Elena that way, but you also can't help who you fall in love with. Damon appreciated what Stefan did and even though doing this behind his back was still wrong since they he and Elena weren't necessarily broken up, I don't think for a second that he did this to purposely f Stefan over. I think he was just letting her know via the kiss that he was gonna be fighting for her affections too.
Plus after it happened, he didn't go too far again with that fight. And they didn't kiss again until 9 episodes later. But everyone's opinions are different. Plus Elena could've not let this happen, but she allowed it. Which obviously showed that she had developed romantic feelings for him at this point. So if anyone was a traitor to Stefan, it was the both of them.
Well anyways, this of the best moments in their entire relationship. Forever in love with Delena. ❤
At this point, Stefan and Elena were broken up, they broke up when Stefan told Elena to forget him and live her life, so Elena was single here
When Damon says 'for wanting what I want', that is the real Damon Salvatore, with his guard down and expressing his life's biggest desire that he has kept in the most secret corner of his heart. Its his devotion, his sacrifices, his love n abandonment n the way he treasures every single moment he spends with Elena, that makes him special. Damon will get the love that he deserves, he has constantly lost even though he has battled the hardest but he will win this time. DE FOREVER

I liked the unresolved sexual tension more than the resolved sexual tension. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they were actually dating during the earlier seasons.
Probably because the writing was really great and events that took place actually made sense. Most couples usually lose their charm after they consummate their love because there would be nothing left to watch except their fights, kisses, sex and all😂😂😂😂

I think it’s because unresolved sexual tension in general is the hottest and most intense thing ever. I feel this way with every couple on tv. Filmmakers refer to it as “the moonlighting effect,” which is well known to be a thing that happens when a couple finally gets together.

If Damon was selfish as you say all he would ever do that! Damon always try to hide his good side only elena who has discovered it and felt in love with it ! He always chooses elena over anything even when he knows she'll hate him but Stefan always was trying to keep his good image in her eyes and that's the difference ! Damon's love was strong for both for Elena and for his brother because no matter how mush he wanted her he couldn't do that to his brother till he confirms about her feelings

You can see it in her eyes and on her lips. She's in love with both brothers. Stefan realizes this in 3x18. "What he would want and what we should do are two different things." Meaning... Elena herself wants to save Damon. That's why they cut scene to a fake escape.... Elena saving Damon. Stefan tries to get her to admit her feelings for Damon. She won't. Admitting her feelings makes them all the more real.

No Elena is only sired to Damon because she had feelings for Damon before she turned. Yeah she had damons blood in her system when she died but the vampire only bond to her sire if they have feelings for them before they turn human feelings vampirism only hightens those emotions. Says so in season 4 episode 8. So Elena's feelings for Damon are real. ♥️
