I quite literally just bought the 7900xtx and 7800x3d today. I can't wait to get them in the case!
Me too bro! Good stuff. Reassuring lol
Ayy me too! Waiting on gpu, can’t wait!
@@ncm0625 love to hear it lol
Dude, i just got the exact same cpu/gpu combo as well haha. Best of luck to ya! Mine came with a support bar for the gpu
LMAO nice guys me too 😂😂
RGB sponsor for a non RGB build 😭
Love the builds, keep em coming!!!
Thank you so much for using the Dark Rock 4. It's exactly what im gonna use for the 3D cache cpus
HELL YEAH DUDE IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO BRO, THANK YOU SO MUCH 🔥🔥🔥
Love this build and needed this review for my new rig. Hyped!
after watching your videos along with optimum tech and tech source almost nonstop for the last few months i built my first pc a few days ago and i love it and the experience was cool so thanks for what you do man appreciate the good content
what mother board did you use?
@@gabu3651 I got a 12400f and a b760 p ddr4 motherboard from msi so I could upgrade to 13th gen intel in the future but also get to use a cheaper ram kit
Imagine being this guys son.😂
mans would gesture at you all day energetically 😅
Free pc
He looks like he's the son
I’m trying to look around for some guidance on a pc build and nearly every video is by a fella who you would walk away from if he came up to you in a pub. Just talk normally. You don’t need to turn it into a poxy performance ffs
I would be grateful if someone like Marcus would be my father
Love your videos, I was just wondering, could you please do a few benchmarks without using FSR or DLSS. It would be awesome to see the raw power of these new cards
I’ve just bought almost the same hardware but with a dark rock pro and it’s all gonna be going into the fractal north, after watching this i cannot be more excited to put the system together
OMG this is so EPIC Marcus!!!!!!!
"Even though it doesn’t look good, it can handle it!" I enjoyed that^
I love the posters and the builds!
Awesome build and Awesome results
Just ordered essentially the same computer. Can't wait to try it out.
I may finally make the jump to AM5... Great video, sir!
Brilliant build!
Nice config. For such a large video card, I would definitely add a card holder. The video also shows that the end of the video card is lower than the beginning.
Yes, that card is definitely sagging and needs a bracket.
The sag hurts me
@@mowcowbell Or better yet, a GPU riser. His case even has the vertical slots for it on the back panel.
That is a remarkable combo. I'll be seriously considering that for my next build.
I just upgraded, and bro it is no joke, I’m beyond spoiled with this thing, upgraded to a 4k monitor, but you could realistically go 1440p 240hz with this build.
What about ur thermals
@@warzone7180 So i've got a Corsair 4000x RGB case with ten case fans, thermals are great. Highest i've seen the cpu get is about 55C, and the highest I've seen the GPU get is about 75C, but if i turn fans to "rage" setting then the highest the GPU will get is about 63C.
@@helixentertainment5890 Planning on this (1440p 240Hz) however I'm a bit hesitant, whether it could deliver. Based on this video, it could though.
@@hortikristof715 hmmm, thinking if it could maintain 240fps
Very nice video 💪 i also bough a used Red Devil GPU (wich was surprisingly in good shape 👀)... Keep up the good work man 👋
Nice build there mate! Hope you could have custom loop build this year
Happy to see this. Just ordered this exact cpu/cooler combo only with a 4080 being my only real difference. Looking forward to getting it.
This looks like insane performance for the price? amazing !
I REALLY like the positive energy this dude radiates. xD
Also I REALLY would wanna try a be quiet AMD build just to see how quiet I can make it.
he radiates than his so much hated radiator
@@kohiruimaki_13😂😂
I have the same GPU, CPU and motherboard with a be quiet CPU cooler. It's VERY quiet!
Everytime I see a beast air-cooled build, I hit like!
Now this, this is a dream pc
Another great video!!!!
thanks for the video i bought a pc with the same cpu and gpu today hope it will here soon^^
This is the combo I just got!!
Amd builds and drivers are a charm 🎉
Amazing performance for price.
Rocking a Red Devil 6800xt and would recommend amd for sureeeee!
I have Red Devil rx 6750 xt and Im happy with it.Also grat card
Pathetic. My 3 4090's (Suprim X, Tuf, Strix) spits on amdip. Nothing compares to my z790 Asus ROG Apex platform with a 13900k and hynix a die D5 manually tuned to 8266mts c36
@@6r3ys0n thx. Very valuable addition
@@6r3ys0n4090 is literally 70% more expensive and also the cpu is 10-20% more expensive. You literally can’t beat AMD in price to performance. If you compare rtx 4080 and 7900xtx(as it should be even though 4080 is still more expensive), amd kicks ass.
Don't talk about hardware you can't afford and don't understand. AMDip is a joke. Framechasers as a reference for people who can't test hardware for themselves. Do not argue about hardware you don't own.@@papawaltuhwhiteyo
Really beautiful build, thank you for the benchmarks, I'm going to be doing a very similar build myself, probably with the fractal torrent case
Still strong demand for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D... Costs $358 and takes about a week for delivery from Amazon in the US.
It's one of the most beautifull things I've ever seen.
Literally my dream build . Specially the GPU
ty for this
Great video! I'm using the Aorus B650 Elite AX and gskill RAM from another of his videos with my newly arrived 7800x3d to upgrade the "guts" of my current build, along with the Dark Rock 4, but a Red Devil powercolor 6900xt ultimate edition card, and Nzxt h70i case, 1000w seasonic PSU
im about to build with the b650 aurose elite ax, how you like it?
@@fuckyoutubrforchangingthis I like it no complaints. Just make sure to flash the BIOS because there was a known security issue with the board
@13:20: I was seriously worried seeing him throw the case around with the graphics card in it .... the sag was extreme and he did not use the included holder for it. I have the same card and i'm really glad that i put it in seeing this sag.
I have my 7900 XTX paired with the R7 5800 X3D and it's also a very nice combo. It almost looks like this GPU works best with the X3D versions, I can be an impression, but the system is solid like a rock and has outstanding performance also!
I believe the 5800x3d performs about the same as all the x3d chips above it @4k.
obvioulsy it will perform the same since at 4k your cpu hardly matters@@michaelpatrick6984
@@michaelpatrick6984 You're correct. I could have gotten a 5950x instead of a 7950x for mostly the same performance but I wanted the DDR5 obstacle overcame and I had the money to spare so I went for the 7950x. I know its not a x3d chip, but your point applies here too; 99% of people aren't going to notice a difference between the X3D chips from AM4 compared to AM5, and either way, they're fantastic. Not a bad issue to have lol
@@FalseOracle617 Nice. I wanted that one, but just got 7800x3d bc people were saying the 7950 was having a lot of driver issues at launch. I did get a motherboard with DDR5 ram. No issues. First ever AMD PC.
@@michaelpatrick6984 I've been AMD for years(no hate here for Intel or Nvidia)because of budget. I'm very happy with the software, consistency wth drivers the last four or five years and overall price per dollar dunks on the other two.
Coming from a Ryzen 3400g + RX 570 and 16gb of ram + a 256gb boot SSD and a 500gb SATA SSD to my new rig has been literally night and day.
Hope you're enjoying the X3D chip
babe wake up, PC Centric just released a new video! Happy days
Great games showcase! Been trying to look at what to upgrade for Halo Infinite so I appreciate the gameplay
I live down south and holy molly I’m excited about the 7800x3d power usage. 60watts while gaming!!!!!
Great vid as always! Glad to catch this early. Could you also mayhaps include escape from tarkov in all your testing going forward? Much appreciated!
YES I NEED TO SEE IT! :D (im pretty much building this myself (first time build)) i even bought the probably scam warranty from SCAN where theyll replace products if you break during install
It doesn't have to light up like a christmas tree either! lol Love it!
I have a 7900xtx and been very happy with it
Cant wait for the next Ultimate Gaming PC with the 7800x3d and 4090.
that phanteks case looks nice i wanna get it since im planning on upgrading my pc
Love this combination AMD and MB. I have never built a pc, but I would do it in a Hyde Y60, EVGA CLC 360mm All-in-One LCD CPU Liquid Cooler, 7 be quiet! LIGHT WINGS 120mm, CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 64GB (4x16GB) 6200MHz CL32 Intel XMP iCUE each. But I’m afraid of the bios and drivers set up.
I have my first gaming pc coming soon, I got a 7800x3d and a RX7800XT. Very excited!
That's the cpu/GPU combo I'm gonna buy I think. Can you update us, how do you like it? Do you play 4k or 1440p?
@@anonymoose2474 I absolutely love it. i primarily play warzone and the graphics and frames are excellent.
@@itsehsanh I just realized now as you reply that you got an 7800xt and I'm looking into a 7800xtx, so if you're happy and getting good results (I assume at 1440p?) then I definitely can't go wrong. Thanks!
Good afternoon, thanks, I like this video.
18:50
Have you compared the CPU with the 4090 yet to see if the pairing of the XTX is better or will the 4090 be better?
Love that be quiet cooler can handle all massive heat from 7800x3d..great setup!!
It's not massive heat - just very concentrated. That's very little heat produced(as watts) just shows as very hot temperature reading
One of the coolest chips per watt. If not the coolest.
What are you on about?
@@TheSometimeAfter no, it's one of HOTTEST PER WATT. Just as the 5800x: very little power, but extremely hot because the chip itself with the cores is so small and alone, while Intel has a much larger area (because io and igpu are all together, and do not produce much heat but suck it away) with bigger transistors and can actually be cooler using 4 times the power
@@gabrielecarbone8235WTF u sain lol
Just get dark rock pro 4, better cooling in my opinion
I gonna get the rx 7900 xtx next month let's go. 7800x3d is a beast tbh
Hello. I was watching another popular youtuber and he stated,if using pc part picker, multiply the wattage times 1.5 and add 100 watts for high end gpu(7090xtx and 4090). This is my first pc build and i want to make sure i get the rated psu for my build. 7800x3d and 7900xtx. I ordered a seasonic gx1000. Thanks!
Would really want to see
MSFS in VR on this!!
i love this guy's personality😆😆
Awesome Video Marcus ! Do you think this 3d V Cache tech can come to Laptops . I'm surprised AMD haven't tried it out this year ... We could have had Amd's Best of Both Worlds , Efficiency for longer battery life and Performance Boost
Thermals run high yes x3d have high performance per watt but its sensitive to heat versus regular non x3d chips so it lowered its thermal cap plus it runs hotter too. Laptops and tight small airflow spots may not be best for x3d chips.
Definitely buying the 7800x3d
Yesterday I ordered that cpu and gpu combo.
AMD did a fantastic job this generation. Honestly, blew my expectations out of the water.
Just built this combo myself !!
Sapphire nitro + 😎
How u liking it. Building mine next week
Exactly what I am building.
@@GagnonGaming88 Putting it together today, so haven’t used it yet.

This is amazing this pair works better than with a rtx 4090... you may have saved me 700 and paid for my next monitor
Sleek build Marcus!!
Just ordered exact same setup cant wait ! Been a nvidia user all my life and trying out amd for the first time now
Going to order this myself after Christmas, if you don't mind let me know how the build goes! Looks like an amazing setup. Haven't had a gaming PC in years so this is going to be a ridiculous step up for me from a PS4 😂

@@Ones2CentsI got my system now 7800x3d with nitro+ 7900xtx. It's tearing up any games at 1440p max and I only have it bone stock right now. A couple of days of messing around with it should get some more performance. It's a ridiculous machine lmao
Looks great. that's what I'm thinking of building. something close to that with the Ryzen 7.
Nice!
Damn, that performance. 😮
its great i am realy enjoying my "underdog radeon" 7900xtx plus my 7800x3d is already on the way. I swaped from Nvidia after 10years. So i should just start to scream about unstable drivers and so on, but i dont . I dont have a reason to be honnest :p. you can get whole highend rig for +-2000euro with AMD(2150 in my case i paid extra for 2tb ssd and pricey models of ddr5 ) if you are lucky its still expensive ,but its not that bad to be honnest, highend was always expensive anyway. The problem is sadly the midrange market, thats realy awfull price to performance, plus these prodcuts there arent very future proofing, midrange is realy in sad spot, which is bad for whole pc gaming.
@@Kratochvil1989 6950xt + 7700x is high to mid range and it's amazing price to performance
@@loganedwards5701 actualy that one is probably one of the best picks i can agree, its realy close to highend ,morelikely :).
The rant about Radiators made me howl with laughter
I actually have this cpu/gpu duo sitting on my desk. Waiting for my 64g g skill, critical t700 and my aio to come. O and a power supply. Can’t wait to get the rest of the parts in and build.

love that mobo and cpu
Just found this video. I've already got this processor and gpu in my basket ready for payday. Now I know what performance I could be getting :-D Although I'll be going for the B650 board instead
i have this exact build from motherboard processor and gpu. i have 360 aio for cooler and different ram build. This build is amazing with games warzone man i turned down some settings and getting almost 300fps avg.
Just built a 7800x3d 7900xt combo with no rgb. inspiring vid :))

I HATE UNICORN FARTS VOMIT AND SKAT TOO..
Okay I like your mousepad. Gonna have to grab one.
Pretty much the exact same build but with a sapphire 7900 xtx. (Smaller form factor) looking forward to it.
Great video, this has helped me decide that the 7800X3D cpu and the 7900XTX card will be my next upgrade after having my i5 4690k and GTX980 for the past 8 years.
One question...would the Thermalright Peerless Assassin cpu cooler be good for this, I have seen some very favourable comments on it for its price..
Yeah thermalright is a great brand you can't go wrong with that cooler
@@boydolson5350 Thank you, it does have excellent reviews.

Just bought a similar setup with an AIO and the Hyte y60 case and I cant wait! currently on a ryzen 7 58003xd RTX 3060 system which I will most likely give away to my nephew
I've got a similar setup with my R7-5800X3D and, just like the R7-7800X3D, it doesn't bottleneck my ASRock RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming OC video card.
Can we get the 10 minutes of Marcus ranting about radiators
Thanks for the build! Doing 2 builds, one for me and one for the wife. I know OUCH! Using the 7800X3D and Asus ROG Crosshair Extreme for the motherboards.
I wonder if we can get a short update on this system. Are you still happy. Did you have any driver issues or artifacts in games? I remember doing an taichi x570 build with a 3900x in 2019, and unfortunately I had many problems with that system. Since then I am very hesitant when it comes to amd.
5:00 thank you editor (Carl?) bwahaha.

This guy just loves ,what he does it feels so naturaly watching his content :). Btw i builded exactly this configuration, its so hard to get non RGB pc nowadays. It realy is. Reasonable fucking nonrgb fans were literaly sold out i have been waiting for it 2 weeks... RBG just plagued our little market.
Got me with that 'The most demanding game' at 21:48, I was 99.4% certain Runescape 3 benchmarks are incoming. April Fool's day was 4 days ago, a bit late for such a cruel joke.
15:21 the gpu kinda sagging there 😅, its pretty scary tbh

This "blackout" theme has me intrigued. I wonder if it's significantly cheaper to go for parts that aren't lit up like a rave party? 🤔
@PC Centric
Is the 7800x3d better than the 7950x3d and the 7950X as far as gaming is concerned? I'm planning on upgrading my 7950X to one of the x3d chips, got a msi x670p with 5600mhz and a 4090 zotac.
