This is used in the Intensive Care Unit, for ventilator patients! I am a ventilator patient!!! I use this at home!!! This is not just used in the Dental office!!! This is great stuff!!! Now, My dentist was VERY VERY helpful!!! She prescribed some, not because of dental issues, but because I requested some, BECAUSE I AM CHRONICALLY VENTILATED, and prone to Ventilator Associated Pneumonia!!! This is stuff that I believe patients at home! Patients at home, deserve this care, if they are on a ventilator!
There is more than one rinse named Oracare. I am recommending the two part activated Chlorine dioxide rinse made in USA at the link I show in the last post.
What I would like to see is very definitive information as to which species are effectively killed and which are not. Just randomly killing bacteria does not necessarily improve oral health. Many bacteria are harmless. Others are pathogens. And still others combat pathogens.
Well I just got 6 teeth removed and the dentist prescribed this along with amoxicillin, Acetami/Codein, and ibuprofen. I just want to know how it works and the chemical Formula/ structure. (I'm a nerd)
I've heard it slows down healing when used. And can be extremely dangerous with open wounds in the mouth. It would be nice if OraCare - if it actually is as useful as is suggested, could take over and provide better oral cleaning.
Hey Chlorhexidine is known to cause Teeth staining right ! Would you prefer advising maximum duration of use Or Can it be used on Daily Basis to counter Halitosis
OK here is the ULTIMATE QUESTION THAT I AM NOT SEEING ANSWERED. can you swallow your saliva after swishing chlorhexidine since you cannot swallow, drink or eat for 30 minutes?
Can this stuff dry out my hands, like severe drying, cracking and bleeding? I just moved in and renting a room, i noticed my hands drying out really quickly and theres a bottle of this stuff in the bathroom and its 0.12% I haven't touched it, but seems im having allergic reaction from it, I noticed my dishsoap is thinner than normal and after doing dishes is when i notice my hands drying out quickly. if someone is putting this stuff in my dish soap would it cause my hands to dry and crack quickly? I also have ehlers danlos syndrome a collagen disorder, in this video it says it can reduce collagen production by 65% Help Please I have a video showing my hands dried out too God Bless
Would you use the before or after brushing to prevent staining? Also, is this any more effective than Listerine or other otc antibacterial rinses with alcohol or other antibacterials?
I'm very angry at my dentist. He needed to do a filling, but said he couldn't on 4 separate visits because "gums are spongy " all he had to do is just write a script for this from the beginning. Instead of having me drive 60 miles on 4 separate occasions just to say oh "you have spongy gums. "

I recommend you try Oracare mouth rinse Very effective with much less side effects
I second this! I recommended OraCare over Chlorhexidine for my patients.

Mam mai 5month pregnant hu mera gum pain hota hai our gum ful geya hain.kya main ye use kar sakhti hu?
Good content 👍
Can I use this with water daily?
Chlorhexidine mouthwash should not be used for more than 2 weeks else it can cause discoloration of teeth.
damn I've been using this for like months. Then what do I do for gingivitis?
Proper toothbrushing and flossing
can discolouration be back to normal?

use it AFTER brushing because toothpaste interferes with chlorhexidine. do not brush your teeth for 2 hours after using the mouth wash
