I personally would consider it, depending on if the condition was great. Just make sure the engine is still in good condition with none of the common Hyundai Kia engine concerns.
Oh, my bad. To sum it up, it has a great ride, body roll is prevalent, although expected for this type of SUV, but suspension is very compliant and soaks up majority of bumps, and grooves, much better than the Honda Pilot. I miss driving this one!
I have owned one for 3 yrs now and after putting snow tires on it drove thru a full blizzard from Connecticut to Maine without a problem the 3.3 engine is the way to go if you want power and don't mind the mpg
I see this video was posted in 2017. You did a great review please keep posting more consistently I know your channel could grow a lot more than where it is now. I'm subscribing good luck man!!
Around 12L/100km mixed city and highway driving, from what I remember. It was a little high. I’m sure you can find the EPA and real world values from other owners online.
I just bought one of these, and I think it's a great running vehicle. Not great with gas, but it does have come some nice pick up and is a smooth ride. The audio system i these things sounds very rich and clean too!
We bought a 2009 Santa Fe SE because of the quiet and smooth ride. At 132,000 miles, the engine and transmission were like new. However the arm rests on the doors are wearing through, just like in your video. So I'm glad to know it's not just my car... The paint quality is also poor. Ours is white, and it's peeling in many places. There are many chips in the paint, from loose stones or just poor paint adherence. The primer shows in many places, and it's starting to rust, though not as bad as the car in the video. But assuming you are in Canada, then it's to be expected due to harsh winters. Thanks for the video and get some wheel covers!
Good points. They are smooth and comfortable to drive as well as being fairly reliable to own. However the various quality issues can be a hassle with these vehicles.
Nice review, thanks. I will add if you are over 120K then expect to replace the turn signal stock, airbag clock spring, wheel bearings and wheel sensors.
I have an 07 gls... Biggest complaint I have is the fuel sensor and differential. Had serious bucking issues and found faulty original part and hyundai did/would do nothing. Should have been recalled as if the gear would have failed, we would have died. It was a huge drain on resources to repair.. Oh and it had to be replaced 2ce bc the same part kept failing. Don't get me wrong, I love 07 gls and have put a lot of love an attention into her, but hyundai needs to step up and back their products and their consumers better
Miss Cadets this was fixed in the second year of production (2008). Unfortunately buying the first year of production on a whole new and unproven chasis/body comes with its drawbacks.
Thanks for sharing the info on this video. Can vouch that some of these are common problems with this vehicle. Very helpful for buyer's and owner's of the Santa Fe. Also want to note, it is only the 2.7L engine which has a timing belt, whereas the 3.3L engine has a timing chain.
Saw one with 200,000 miles on it low price well maintained is it worth buying🤔

you forgot about ride quality suspension

DJ. Trabucon Yeah the mpg is abysmal, but if you aren’t worried about that it’s a great car

Hey Hattori, any recommendations after one year of use?
Thanks for this review. Very nice to see a straight to the point review.
Great review. Keep up the good work.
Please how can I remove the speakers from the doors should in case is not functioning. Thanks
Look into tutorials that help you remove the door panel, and then it should be easy to disconnect/ remove the speaker.

Hello bro, Thanks for the information video. I have a question: What's the gas consume of this SUV (V6 disel)?
About 19 mpg mixed for gasoline, diesels aren't sold in North America.
Crazy good review....subscribed!
Pretty cool review, really appreciate that you took the time to look at this older car. Although its sad to see once limited edition on these wheels.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
The car was on winters, but the original wheels do suit this SUV well.
Great review.
Thanks!
30km/h there is no body roll...
Can you elaborate what you mean?
Lol that was the same body style till 2012
Yup
