    As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results and about well aging, I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
    I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
    Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

    With StievaA now discontinued, I'm prescribed EpiDuo. What is your opinion on this? Great video as usual. Hi from Australia

      EpiDuo was what I got to treat my acne when I was a teen and it worked wonders. But it did stain a lot of my towels and bedding.

      I do and I don't - they are the ones living in our garden, so not mine, but I get to enjoy them all day long. At least in summer.

    Dermelect seems like a terrible name in a marketing sense to me because it sounds like derelict

      Interesting. My first association was elected by a derm - but I am not a native speaker.

      @@DoctorAnne I think that makes sense like “president elect” but the sound of it when it is said together. Also, being on derm placement, I don’t think derms have the best taste in products

      @@moose8762 Agree, most don't look at it from a consumers perspective and take cosmetic elegance and usage experience into account.

      @@DoctorAnne this is very true. They recommend the typical, usually very cheap emollient products and then if not those, the ones you would basically expect them to recommend like Aveeno and Eucerin. I notice that a lot of the patients do think that typical french pharmacy prices of around €20 for a 500g body moisturiser is too steep of a price. And a lot don’t even know that SPFs made for the face exist and I doubt they would shell out €20 for those

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  Месяц назад

      @@moose8762 I notice that too - some people are willing to pay more for a cosmetically elegant formulas and others would never. Each to their own I guess.
