DIY Concrete Sink & Countertop ll Small Bathroom Renovation

  • This episode shows how to make a DIY white concrete countertop with integrated sink for a small bathroom renovation. I used glass-fiber reinforced concrete for this DIY sink / countertops, so the concrete sink is lightweight. By using single drain for two faucets, we were able to fit this double vanity sink into a small 42 sq. ft. bathroom. I think this concrete sink works perfectly for this tiny bathroom remodel - hope you enjoy the build too!

Perfect video! It gave me answers to a couple of my "wonder how I'm gonna do that" questions and puts me in a different direction from pouring to hand packing. You're all ACES as far as I'm concerned!! I'm still shaking my head thinking "why didn't I think of that" about the mold made of shaped/shaved foam.....really, its weird how one can get so stuck on stupid that they don't see the forest for the trees. Lol, I feel born again from such a narrow minded mindset on inner sink mold. TY!

As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement ruclips.net/user/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

Quite outstanding. I was confident in my ability to make concrete molds for polymer countertops before, but I couldn't think of a great inexpensive way to make a sink that didn't involve hard edges or risk ruining the finished product when delaminating the melamine. Very insightful video, and awesome innovation!

The best DIY videos are those that start off making me think I could do something myself and save a little money... then 11 minutes in have me thoroughly impressed and ready to hand over whatever it costs to concrete professionals. Bravo!

I created the same sink for a client in 2002. The faucet coming off the wall was a mirror. If they have issues with faucet, they can access the plumbing from other side of wall. I must say, I’m pretty darn happy with myself creating a modern design that sustained time.

I mean- it was way easier for him. the faucet and handles are in the wall so he didn't even have to worry about that for the sink. All he needed was a drain hole. And even then we don't know if he added a feature to actually close the drain or not. All of that stuff adds a lot of complexity to it. He basically made a basin with a hole in the bottom. Most people sinks are a little bit more complicated

one small detail that is helpful in my view, which is adding a hole connected to the drain pipe that helps to drain the water faster
the hole should be in the top connected to the drain pipe

Love how this came out, really glad to see that it's not a monolithic piece of concrete making it impossible to move!
