Mouth piece gaps is about experimentation. I personally just use tape on the mouthpiece to increase the gap to see if it helps. If it does, then I mark my mouthpiece with a scribe so when the tape wears out, I can replace it and put it back in the correct spot. If you want to purchase a system, I would recommend Stomvi. They have a really nice system. Weighted valve caps is also an experimentation. I put coins in my valve caps to see if it helps. If it does, then I try to find the valve caps with the same weight. KGU has some nice valve caps and they list what trumpet models will fit. Best of luck
