@@randallwilliamson3838 Its just a TV show. Vhagar sneaking up on meleys for a death attack, aegon arriving right as meleys does..... neither are likely or believable. In the book she is trapped so she cannot leave so it makes more understandable but here, she had a chance to retreat and regroup and save herself and her dragon! Rheanys is a Targaryen and a warrior. She went to Rook's Rest to fight. Just running from Aemond and Vhagar would be considered craven. She had to take a chance to take down Vhagar and she nearly did. But Aemond uses another sneak attack.
Also remember that she lost a son and found out her husband is cheating. He has a bastard son that was the one she was talking to when she was calling his mother beautiful and him comely.
how was she a warrior?..when had she went of to war previous to this?
@@thebruisedkind5345
You don't have to fight a war to be a warrior, it's more about the mindset or principles you live by. This was Aemond's first battle, he's not a warrior either? Daemon wasn't a warrior before Stepstones? Arryk and Erryk were also not warriors in your eyes because they didn't fight in wars, right?
@@anhkriva5274no they weren't warriors either, but the difference is they were highly trained in the arts and skills pertaining to was Raenys was not, in fact, according to the show, Rhaenys, a member of the oppressive ruling class, mvrdering all those poor innocent members of the oppressed class back in season one, who had nothing to with her imprisonment, and were only eager to celebrate the coronation of the new King only to be killed by some over privileged elitist makes her a war criminal
"He's very useful. I don't know what his intentions are." - Larys Strong wants to be useful. He offers services to those who can pay for it in form of a high status position. His behaviour is that of any competent job seeker: get a job from the best paying employer.
Trixie your reaction was phenomenal. You are right Aemond did this deliberately he wants the throne.
She felt guilty about not destroying the green team at the ceremony.
Also as a soldier there was no running away.
Rhaenys went there to defend rook's rest. She wasn't going to run away from that for any reason. You mentioned how she could have taken everyone out earlier in the dragon pit, there is an interview with Eve Best where she references that, as if the Rook's Rest fight was her chance to actually follow through with what she can do to the greens now that the war has fully started.
Great reaction. But, unfortunately ..... no character or dragon is safe in this story. Strap in. It is going to get worse.
dont try to defend it. It was stupid writing to create drama and instead it just made the character look stupid. It is ok to say it was stupid because it was.
@@randallwilliamson3838 So let me get this straight. Would you have killed your beloved brother's children so easily? Including children? Do you realize what bullshit you're talking about?
@@randallwilliamson3838 Its just a TV show. Vhagar sneaking up on meleys for a death attack, aegon arriving right as meleys does..... neither are likely or believable. TV shows have these types of of deliberate contrivances because a lot of people enjoy them. It is a trade off still being made to appeal to a wider audience. Maybe someday we can get rid of them entirely (audiences are more mature than they have been historically, for sure) .. but for now, it is what it is. I'm fine with that. IMO, the dance of the dragons is worth seeing on screen in exchange for a handful of poor setups.
Rhaenys went back because she was a skilled warrior who was confident in her skills. If she had won, she would have not only saved the Queen, but her husband and grandchildren as well.
Trixy:"At least kill him!"(referring to Aegon)
Yeah, the kid who didn't want to be king, who was manipulated in the hopes of making him a puppet and lost his son to Daemon's treachery and has been trying to be a good king to the people, no thanks to his mother and grandfather. HE'S the one who should be punished...(sarcasm)
Greens win...NOT flawless victory....And Aegon was crippled, yay!
In the book she is trapped so she cannot leave so it makes more understandable but here, she had a chance to retreat and regroup and save herself and her dragon! Especially beacuse she saw it was a trap. She should have retreated! But, i think the reason she continued was because of Dameon constantly bringing up the fact that she could have ended Aegon and the greens with her dragon when broke out of the dragon pit. I like to think that she felt guilty by not ending this when she could have done so. So she stayed , if only not to hear that assholes voice about how she didnt do enough! lol
The people who seem unbothered by Harrenhal seem quite zen. Simon Strong seems honorable but very chill. Alys has embraced it for what it is. Maybe that's the key to being able to live & sleep there: no guilty conscience to rattle.
Funny, I said "sit there and look pretty" a second before you did (17:00ish). lol.
Raenys's low flying tactics was dumb for an experienced rider. Vhagar was able to surprise her beyond the castle.
Vhagar the so-called Queen of All Dragons, looking forward to meeting the Dragon King Vermithor..
IT'S INTERESTING THAT YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T EXERCISE HONOR TODAY.
THAT'S WHAT MAKES THINGS HONORABLE.
Would you rather die in battle? or die of an illness or waste away with age. Rhaenys was 55 she knew her death would be on the back of a dragon in battle or wasting away. I think she chose the best of the three. She also thinks all her children are dead plus she knew this war would be her end so she decided on when and how. Now she is a Martyr to the Black's as well.
Nah I don't think Aemond planned to kill his brother but, when he saw him messing up his and cole's plan he was like fine I'll sit tight and let him get messed up by the other dragon and if he gets killed in the crossfire "oopsie" im king now.
So Rhaenys walks up to some random black guy, probably the only one around and says "hey you look like my husband" even though the two actors look nothing alike other than being black?...AND IT TURNS OUT SHE WAS RIGHT!!!!! the one random black guy milling about just happened to be the illegitimate son of the main black actor on the show..did that really happen? LMAO
turns out Rhaenys racist intuitions were spot on
"She has a type" Rhaenys is not hitting on Alyn. He's her husband's bastard.
"Men" Women
RIP Rhaenys The Queen who never was, died and fought like a true Dragon rider
Sometimes I pretend I’m a dragon, I don’t brush my teeth for a week and then flap my arms and breathe in people’s faces. Don’t judge me!
Daemon is only a few years younger than Viserys, about 50 years old.
really, in the source material Daemon isnt Daemon said to be 39
@@thebruisedkind5345 week viserys does at 68, but it's not clear when he was born.
Best Episode of this Series So Far Was So Good
Aemond likely didn't wanted kill brother but rather teach that arrogant toxic brat lesson.
just like everyone else around him
and if he gets wounded ? good ... atleast he wont interfere with smarter people leading war
Bullshit take. Aemond wanted the throne and now he'll get to temporarily rule as Prince Regent. As for Aegon, all they had to do was tell him their plan and he likely would've stayed in King's Landing. You can't force someone to take the throne, not teach him how to rule, and then undermine him at every turn.
@@joeloates1685 Aemond never shown ANY interest in throne that's simply lie
he just don't respect his brother at all and won't pass any chance to troll or humiliate him
if he wanted aegon to die he wouldn't join battle at all and aegon would be 100% dead
no one would really suspect anything since vhagar often refuse to follow orders
he doesn't need army , aegon or cole to win battle
Aemond behave as he behave because he is obsessed by Daemon trying to be exactly like him ... and we all know he behaved toward viserys during his rule , seeing him as weak and naive fool for soo many years
@@alanea5860Aemond’s never shown any interest in the throne… are you kidding me? You have NOT watched the show ☠️ Throughout the entirety of episode 9 he complains about having to find Aegon who he deems to not be worthy of being king, and Aemond literally says to Criston “It is I who should be…” and then he silences himself, solely because it would be treason.
Aemond wants the throne BADLY. Your arguments are not remotely worth considering when you’re in denial of one of the most key elements of Aegon and Aemond’s relationship.
Maybe Rhaenys was feeling despondent after being confronted with evidence of Corlys” infidelity
Aegon isn't confirmed dead so don't worry about him, rhaenys on the other hand her dragon fell on top of her and exploded so she is definitely dead also she was a side character so it wasn't too hard to predict that she would die eventually.
That's actually complete BS go rewatch that scene
when you see Meleys falling near ground in last scene there is just empty saddle Rhaenys is mising
but yeah it's unlikely for her to survive fall from such height asuming free fall + she is supposed to die if we follow book (ok show often doesn't but still .. her scenes in last ep felt like wrap up to various aspects of story)
@@alanea5860 What's complete BS literally everything i said is correct, she's in the saddle we see her fall from an angle that's on top of her and then it cuts immediately to the camera down so she's still in the saddle you can she her
@@Sold1er_Boy no we see her from top then we see dragon falling with empty saddle from ground you should check it few more times ;) and maybe *0,25 speed
its bit blurred by effects but Rhaenys silhouette clearly sticked out from saddle even when she crouched
she clearly fell off at some point ergo your speech about her getting crushed by dragon is BS
@@alanea5860 The upper camera cuts immediately to the one down so there is no time for her to drop cause we would have seen her since she would have fallen in a straight line. She is still on the saddle it's just extremely hard to see cause the sun is on the opposite side so it creates a shadow. Also she was completely strapped in so she couldn't have fallen, they showed that to us.
@@Sold1er_Boy another BS .. most of her fall is not shown we see her in like 100-75% heigh then cut to 10% - 5% and another cut before crash
... this is pointless you are too lazy to even rewatch scene you barely remember so this talk just ended

I think Aegon is supposed to be about 22.
He should be about 19 or 20 according to the actual timeline. 16 years passed since he was around 3. If the showrunners themselves claim he’s 22 ig they don’t know what they’re doing in terms of consistency lol
@@lynnraven6101 Aegon is 22 in the book and short of 20 in the show.

Great video.
It was stupid writing which made the characters look stupid.
which part was stupid to you?
@penguin50279 ignore this goof. He's a Rings of Power fan.
@@penguin50279 going back 2 more times. There is a reason why in the books she was simply ambushed and all 3 dragons crashed. This going back was stupid AF. Basically the end was losing Blacks biggest dragon, one of their better people, and still losing the castle... If I am a lord on the fence I would not think that was a win in any way. If she had returned and the story was, Rhaenys killed hundreds of men and took down the king and his dragon and then had to retreat because of Vhagar, I would still be on the fence.
