I really liked Hello Stranger and didn’t see the twist at all. But I should have! I read Cutting for Stone years ago and liked it but it was during my “read bestsellers” phase. I wouldn’t necessarily stick with it now.
I feel like that's the general consensus with Katherine Center books. Different ones work for different people. I'm still interested in trying a lot more of her backlist!

I'm currently listening to the audiobook of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I agree with your rating.
