I have fought & BLED In War...I have wept much in THESE recent days of Peace...I have seen this World as I travelled it through my life and now at the age of 71 I find myself wondering what has become of us here in America. It is a sad place I TOO find myself in. Times when prayers seem unheard, hope seems lost, and my mind seems SO cluttered, I too search for some sort of way to find the way to weather this storm of Americas conscience. I am not strong as I once was, unable to even stand on my own now, in poor health. I suppose the best I can now do is hope to stand FOR something worthwhile and hope we all come through all of this as family? I wonder...maybe if everyone came to look at one another as family, maybe we could ALL find a better peace & prosperity? With riches far BEYOND the dollars but the riches within. Be WELL my friend. As a born-again believer in Christ, and a patriotic American veteran, I share your disgust over what is happening in our country. Thank you for that biblical perspective. I have read that account of Solomon and the two had lots ( in 1 Kings 3) many times, but I had not previously thought of comparing the two had lots to the two opposing mindsets in our country in regard to this George Floyd issue, and all the rioting and destruction that's going on. As you alluded to in your comments, our only hope as children of God is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, I also believe that he is the only hope our country and our world have of any improvement in the short term. So we must "preach the gospel to every creature" , and "reason with them out of the scriptures" , "speaking the truth in love", because the power of God's word, especially the gospel is the only thing that has the power to change hearts and lives.
