the meme was definitely NOT paid marketing as other artists have tried to jump on it using the same video. us sweetees (tinashe’s fanbase) have been grinding from the ground up for years and finally seeing the fruits of our labour! also like to note that nasty was already gaining popularity with several memes and mashups, but this one caught fire! so happy for our girl and LONG OVERDUE because her artistry is on level with the greats
sweetees! I didn't know that is what we were called. It fits
TINASHE MENTIONED!!!
glad shes finally getting recognition. i swsear the indysrtry ios holding her under water like a ballon knowing she is biound to succeed just making her tsronger liek a diamond oven.
Thank you for showing love to Tinashe! So proud of her! Been rocking with her since 2014
Could listen to popcast talk Tinashe all day every day
Her time is finally here!!!🔥🔥🔥
Br she been here!!! Y'all think you discovered her??
Thank you, Jon and Joe, for discussing The Ranjha's story and his new chapter with Mass Appeal. We are eager to share his talent with the world 🙌
This is truly a PEAK!! The fans are truly happy & she’s INDEPENDENT! Her catalog 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
so freakin happy. tired of seeing her underneath the surface
Loveeee Tinashe!!!
TINASHE 4EVER 🔥
This was perfect! Thank you so much for highlighting her hard work!
The beat is Call Me by Tweet, produced by Timbaland.
One of the best songs ever! Southern Humming Bird is a classic, and Tweet never needs to make another album.
I don’t need two random yt guys explaining to me WHY Tinashe’s song is going viral: it just is, and she deserves it period. She is not new, she is just new TO YOU or other people acting brand new. The only way I can see this commentary (didn’t care to go past the title) being valuable is if you were PREDICTING that “Nasty” would go viral and then it did.
People let’s get to the place where we just take things as they are and enjoy them straight up without all the extra marketing and “Roll-out” talk; music and art are not that complicated: you receive it UNDISTRACTED AND UNPREJUDICED and let it hit you how it’s gonna hit you (it makes me feel good, it does not make me feel good, it feels like it will grow on me if I just live with it a bit)-THAT’s IT.
I don’t know these guys or their content and this is not any sort of diss to them: I am simply reacting to the sentiment and implications of the title-not just for Tinashe-but for any ACTUAL ARTIST we will encounter in the future, who deserves our support EVEN WITHOUT BEYONCÉ-SIZED PROMOTION DOLLARS. In this way we can all start to behave more like adults, thinking and choosing for ourselves, one-on-one with the supplier of this particular entertainment service.
I really enjoyed this post. I'm glad I found this channel👍🏾
I love her sm
Tinashe is just great
9:58 it actually kind of is the worst idea, if you think about it. One Tinashe song has already been ruined by a problematic pop artist who wasn’t necessary for the song (see Player featuring Chris Brown).
Drake and all of his antics are the last thing Tinashe needs!!!
They should’ve cleared the Timbaland sample
She’s amazing 🤩
The finger in the teeth at 2:39 😂
Tinashe ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad Tinashe is finally getting the shine she deserves. I’ve always felt her previous representation did her wrong in the lackluster way they promoted her.
It’s not fake. It’s the power of tik tok. I didn’t think anything of the song first time around, but with the dance and when the hook sinks in, it becomes a banger. I forgot about the song originally but through the memes, I looked it up, and had the “oh yea” moment. Now understanding music more, I see why it’s such a great remix-able track, and how powerful her hook is.
The problem with 2010s Tinashe is that she was hard to sell for the labels. She’s not a sell out arenas kind of girl. She’s also not a powerful singer, and she was too sweet to sell as sexy (with black audiences), when so many female rappers were selling pornographic imagery.
Ive seen hundreds of football edits with this song of zeaty players
'Maybe some valleys... definitely some valleys' was SO nasty 😭 why y'all doing my girl like that.
I can’t let gang know I fw this
Bait
When a dude hates on a woman they power them all the way the fuck up! I love it.
Tinashe's best work was on her mix tapes before she signed with a major label. Now, she's just forgettable generic pop boring.
Loud and wrong all her albums are critically acclaimed!!!
always has been generic and very basic singing.
@@user-tu6os3uq6mif it’s so generic then why is it critically acclaimed?? Also I can tell you don’t listen to bc you would know that all of this is FALSE!
@@theonepersonwhodoesentedit3055 Plenty of throw away pop songs are generic and "critically acclaimed". It does not change what it sounds like lol.
@@user-tu6os3uq6m then listen to her music instead of commenting on something you clearly don’t know abt lol
