Great tutorial .. any chance we can get the slidedeck and audio file that you've used in the tutorial for us to replicate this project as a self-practice?
Hello Michael, I am visiting your channel for the first time, being drawn to this video by it's thumbnail. I am currently making intro movies in Keynote for my song videos. One thing that makes it difficult for me is to set the transitions and effects to sync with the beat of the music. What I am not able to do [as yet] in Keynote I am able to effect while editing the exported Keynote movie in FCPX is to use the retiming function of the video clip. What has intrigued me in your present video is this: How did you manage to sync the changes in the transitions with your voiceover? Was any AI processing being used that the exported movie showed the relevant slides appearing at the same time the topic was being mentioned in the VO? Or, have you [without mentioning it in the present video] adjusted the duration of each slide along with the slide's in-build and out-build? I would be interested to know how this gets done. If you have any easy method to set the timings, it will be great. Regards Dr. Somanna
It's way more simple than that. I had the pre-recorded voiceover in the soundtrack in Keynote. While it's playing, I just triggered the slides when I wanted to using the arrow keys, as you would with any Keynote presentation. Keynote recorded all of the timings.
@@MacVideoMagic Wow Michael!😳.This is just too great and very simple. I know that at least one of the comments spoke about the difficulty of setting the timing right. I guess you first set up all the slides including their transitions [?magic move, to appear on 'click'], imported the recorded VO into the project, and recorded the slideshow which you later exported...isn't it so. Man, I request you to do a specific video dealing with the minutae involved to get this method [ingenious one at that] right. I am sure that many of us who are content creators will benefit from this method and use Keynote more often. Cheers. Subscribed😀. Have a blessed life and blessed eternity. Regards Dr. Somanna
Apple quietly added HDR video support to Keynote recently. For creators like me that do outdoor wilderness content, that's a big deal as I record and publish all my outdoor content in HDR.
You are the "King of Keynote"!
He's the king of well spoken, thorough content thorough.
🙂
Many thanks I was just about to record on my phone, I will try your way, take care, Jerzy UK🤩
I'm curious. What do you edit on hardware wise? macbook Pro?
M1 Mac Mini and M1 Mac Studio.
Thanks Michael, I think this will be really quite useful.
Glad you think so!
Always quality stuff Michael, many thanks!
Appreciate the feedback!
Another great idea! This will come in handy. Thanks.
Glad you found it useful!
Love your videos!
Thank you!

@@garudasomanna Thanks for the feedback! Getting the timing right is really up to you pressing the forward arrow key at the right time.
Michael. Another gem. Thanks. What software are you using to record your talking head part? Keynote also?
QuickTime Player.
@ Ok. 👍 Thanks
