What times will Tebogo run in 2024?
Sub 19.3
19.4
19.22 in France 200m finals
9.65 in France 100m finals
19.05 if he improve his person best by 2% he already improve the 300 and the 400m by over 3.2% already...
19.25
He has the potential to win both 100m 200m. The fact that he still has about 10-14 years left of track. Just makes it scary on how much records he could break. Watch out for him in paris
Tokyo?
Tokyo😭
He could be the 1st man in history to win the 100,200. And 400m at an Olympic Games. I can see him breaking the 200 and 400m world records in the near future.
@@haroldquill8761 haha NEVER
I wouldn't say he has 14 years left, but certainly as much as 4 - 5 years left in his Prime. Some athletes peak very early like Bolt and seem like he was plaque with injuries before his 30th birthday. Not disagreeing with you because I'm sure he has so many years left in his prime and he is training very smart. He is not going all out in these races since he has 3 more months to get to his peak and not burn out. I am really shooting for him and Knighton to get very close to that 200m record. Knighton is very humble and I enjoy the funny show boating of Tobago.
I AM FROM BOSTWANA AND I LOVE THIS LEGEND🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼
I am french and i think tebogo can win
Yall so cute. Welcome to the chat.
Protect Letsile at all costs. He's one of the youngsters from track and field that can do amazing things, he's the future of track and field.
I cried when Kelvin Kiptum died, so make sure that Letsile will have a long and healthy life.
Greetings from Portugal!

@@roybean7166Hello my neighbour
Letsile Tebogo is not the next Bolt, he is the first Letsile Tebogo. He will do things that set him apart from other sprinters in history!!!!
I agree 2000 percent. He's the original Tebogo. 👍 👌
Don't be so offended to be the next Usain Bolt, it just means that he could be the next world record holder. Doesn't mean that he does not have a personality
I don't like comparisions let him be himself.
Cant wait for the lyles vs knighton vs tebego

As fast as Tebogo
Probably has a 19.4 in him rn if he wants to go all out, it’s that real.
Not a chance...
@@Yes_I_c4nI agree, not 19.4 right now, but what do you think he’ll run this year? Do you think he’ll run *A* 19.4 at some point, do you think he’ll go faster, slower or around his 19.5? What about the 100? Will he improve on his 9.88? (I’m willing to bet so). Do you think he’ll get a medal in the 100&/200&/400, and if so, what colour?

Into a headwind at 19.94, this man is something special
Tebogo vs Lyles vs Knighton is going to be a great rivalry over the next 5yrs! Hope Simbine runs more 200s, would love to see him run sub 20s at sea level this yr. Was a shame to see him DQ'd for a false start in last yr's WC 100m Semi preventing him from making his 6th Global 100m Final in a row & would've been the 1st time ever that 3 African Men (along with Tebogo & Omanyala) would've been in a Global 100m Final, would be cool to see that happen in Paris this yr!
That was ALWAYS my strategy in the 200m. If I got to top speed too early, I would gas harder at the end and so I would do about 75% on the turn and then sling shot around the bend and increase up to top speed until about 50m left. Then try to maintain.
Secret to going Fast is to relax. Doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is.
Definitely relax ! Open hands, notice some top sprinters run with a type of a half fist ? Makes no sense to me. Roy b, CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
I love how effortless the greats make it look.
He ran a 20.3 split enroute to his 300m world record. He obviously had a speed reserve. I estimated he could have run 0.5 to 0.6seconds faster. That's 19.7 to 19.8.
This was also into a -1.2m/s headwind. That's 19.88 with 0 wind. In March. Not all out 💀.
At altitude though, so more like 20 flat
Still very impressive
Jo'burg is at almost 6000ft above sea level
@@chalfontstgiles4307 actually the time when adjusted is only 19.97

Meanwhile Lyles be trying to sell himself as the next Bolt but I ain't buying.
The closest thing to Bolt I've seen thus far...
@@JappaKneads Not very close considering he has no Olympic gold when Bolt had five gold by Lyles' age.

That's our boy. Proudly BW 🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼
Running down Lyles in the final 20m, that Tebogo kid is plain NUTS!
I keep watching him and he impresses me all the time, excited to see what he can actually do at 100%
That first 100m looked like it was at 60% effort for me ... and he was still sub 20! wow
He been that
He's clearly in incredible form. I just hope that he continues to improve throughout the season. We haven't seen it from Tebogo before, but it isn't uncommon for southern hemisphere athletes (Makwala, Simbine, etc.) to perform very well in their late summer (which is right now) only to burn out by the time the big events hit. I think Tebogo will continue to improve throughout the year, especially since he seems to be taking his races quite easy right now, but it's not something to be taken for granted that peaking at the right time can have an added challenge for the southern African athletes.
That man truly is fast.
I truly TRULY wanna appreciate you and the effort you’ve made to get Tebogo’s name right!! You’re the ONLY non Motswana person that’s said his name right
Super impressive. Just what we need.
His running form looks effortless, its like he's gliding.
Damn! What were his 100m splits in this race?
Lyles better be on his game!
Reminds me of how effortless Knighton looked in the qualifying rounds for Oregon 2022, but it’s still march!!!

Hey, this is how he makes his money, and RUclips doesn't pay a lot. 100k and likes gets less than $70. So, a lot of folks on the internet are making 🥜 peanuts.
Made sub 20 look effortless! Dude is an insane talent!
Damn this kid has me excited to watch the Tokyo games he really will push Noah for that title Noah might be unlucky that Tebogo and Knighton are around these Olympic Games
Oh man its looking good thanks
WOW this seasons is going to be AWESOME
His form is beautiful
Lyle is finished, he has all reasons to worry about this young chap
Just come across the channel - this is amazing! I'm an athletics fan and am so disappointed about the coverage in the UK. Please keep this up - I would personally pay a subscription to have you promote key events at the Olympics!
Lyle's got his hand full
It looks like he did not even bother to come out of the blocks properly. He was almost completely upright after 10m which is far from how you are supposed to do it.
Reminds of when Yohan Blake ran the second fastest 200m time of 19.26s back in 2011. When the gun went off Blake wasn't upright but he literally sat in the blocks for 0.5 seconds longer than everyone else. If Blake had a better start, he may tied or broken the record 19.19
He was taking it easy, cruising. Rememberalso, it is at altitude here in SA. Roy b, CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
Damn...that kid is fast!🔥Noah Lyles gonna be nervously lookin over his shoulder real soon! 🏃🏽😬

Lyles has to be seriously worried.....i see this guy besting him and going under 19.3....
He beat them jogging man.
He didn't even look like he was working hard in the second half. Wow !
Been saying this for a long time now. This kid is a once in a generational athlete. WATCH OUT

To close in on Noah Lyles like that over 200m is crqzy speed
That race reminds me of yohan blake in the 2012 Olympic 200 semifinals.
Am from America and i have no doubt tebogo is the man to watch in olympic
Tebogo and Lyles (and possibly Knighton, though it might be a bit early for him) could seriously help each other close in on Bolt's 200m record this upcoming Olympics.
Agreed. I'm a Lyles fan but in 2 years it's gonna be Tebogo's world and all others, including Lyles will be trying to catch up.
Knighton is faster than he is now and younger ....
@@jerome30something Maybe younger... but Tebogo's ceiling is higher, at least that's the census, both could at the very top in the coming years. I do believe Tebogo has the better chance at dethroning Lyles tho.... even if Lyles for now is favourite in the 200m.
Welcome to Africa😊
Yep ! And do you maybe know what's happening to Wayde v Niekerk ? Will he be competing, cannot find any news. Roy b Cape town, south africa 🇿🇦
This guy is going to be the one to watch heading into the olympics
He was literally jogging the first 100 and only stepped it up to about 85% in the last 100. This kid is going to break both the 200m and 400m world records, and in time, once his body has fully matured, he's going to set records that won't be broken for a very long time.
I think he's the most likely to break the 200/400 records out of all current athletes, I really hope he wins a gold medal at the Olympics this year
LOVE THIS GUY! LET'S GO TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO!!!
Smh
LET SET GO 💨 is training man dont worry
Let’s gooo Tebogo!
i think what we saw in his African races last year when he was shutting down with 20, 30 and sometimes 40m left of the race cos he had blown everyone away, and the difference in International races where he had more of a fight on his hands especially in that clash with Lyles, he needs that serious competition to push him to put more effort in and we saw that with his 19.50s and as u said was catching up Lyles, if he can stay injury free and motivated he has the potential to win any sprint from 100m all the way upto 400m akin to the likes of Niekirk
Tebogo really said “guys I’m tired, gotta jog so I can go home”
He has the potential to break the 200 and 400m records. 19.02 and 42.87. Also could be the 1st in history to win the 100,200 and 400m at an Olympics.
Winning all those events at a single Olympics might be difficult if you consider the exhaustion he might get from doing many rounds
Yeah right😂😂
Not possible, too many heats will be too much
Running like the wind makes it look easy, good job...PEACE
He's exceptional has incredible range he's practicing the first round of Paris lol
I just hope he trains his start so he can attack the WR if not this year maybe next one
Wow
If that was at the cape town stadium, it's also into a strong headwind
Give this man better lanes. Stop putting him last. Even then he can still win
I reckon this guy can run a 17.9
No chance 😂
I reckon you're on crack
@@jaredbowen3527 sorry, this was a shit joke on my behalf
I reckon that you meant 19.7 and not 17.9 and if you did mean that, he has already ran a 19.5. If you mean 19.7 as in today…that’s the only sense i can make of the comment as I’d agree to that 😂
@@Slapthematwrestling i definitely meant 17.9. The comments are littered with 12yos saying he'll run 19 flat or go below 19. So I went a step further.
CRAZY
tebogo next bolt
In 200m, yes.
In 100, not a chance
Not even close.
Bolt is in another level brother, tebogo next star you mean
People need to calm down. A sprinter runs a sub 20s and people start talking about WRs and being the next Bolt... C'mon...
Tebogo is insane. It's absurd how good he is from 100 to 400 at 20yo. hope he'll stay injury free until the olympic.
Lyles has some pretty lofty expectations and goals, talking about world records and low times. But he better keep an eye for Tebogo just behind his shoulder. The guy was definitely catching up to him in that race, and is the world leader so far this year. Might be Lyles and everyone else who has to catch up to him in Paris!
Nah. Noah is still the frontrunner until proven otherwise
@@phaethon1988say it again!!
First time I've seen a sprinter jog a 19.94. Wow!
Well Bolt and Blake could also jog a 19.94. I guess even Walter Dix, Tyson Gay could do that in their very prime.
Battle royale between Tebogo, Knighton and Lyles in Paris this summer
Exactly what you expect him to run, maybe even slower.
So this is what they call freedom of speech.
He always teasing
His first 200 in the year and he’s already going sub 20 😭
It's very early in the 2024 outdoor season, so "best times of the year so far" are going to happen frequently. Yes, he took it easy, and the time reflected it. I wouldn't call it "Something Big". Breaking 19.5, or beating Lyles, would be "Something Big".
This boy is going to surprise us, he should keep low now and wait for the main events. What a rise of an athlete, I remember seeing him in junior championships never thought he will rise this quick. Bolt records are found shaking even Wayde 400. One love from SA

He might break bolts 200m record someday
He gonna drop a real time all of a sudden. 19.3 or 19.4. Then, he will slowly take over. Next year ow two.
My no 1 sprinter. He can go a lot faster. But remember, this is altitude here in SA. Roy b , CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
His running technique needs to be analysed as he seemed to put less efort and deliver best results. Michael Jonhson was like that but also had a different technique as well. Orthodox running style yet effective. Imagine if he can paddle like lyle, coleman or simbine.
Literally jog the first 100m hes really preparing
He just ran the 300WR, so I think he could run the 200 under 19.60 right now. This 200 was really just an easy training run for him. His coaches probably told him to treat it like an interval.
Have you run your fastest on the end turns? It is not easy. Of course he picked up speed on the straight away. This will be an exciting summer Olympics.
