- in this video...... i have tried to find out solution of problem while interfacing LDC display Via i2c bus... with 3.3V microcontroller like raspberry pi Pico RP2040, ESP32, Esp8266, TI MSP430 & C2000 microcontroller family.
This all microcontrollers don't have 5v tolerant pins. so you need extra piece of components in between (called level shifter).
By using my technique shown in video to remove pull-up resistors of i2c bus you can use your i2c display very safely with 3.3V microcontroller & even when providing 5V VCC to display.
Feel fre to implement this , because I2C ic is open collector/open drain type & for smaller distance we don't need pull-up resistor & both End. it's works fine because microcontroller's internal pull-up will take care of voltage pull-up.
