I Served (1983 - 1987) i was offended as well. my Immediate thought was of all the French Former Service Members who gave Life and Limb so that France is not Suffering what Ukraine is now. The whole ceremony was weird, starting with putting athletes in a boat in the rain so they possibly get sick! To the mediocre displays that were ambiguous at best. And the cauldron far away from the ceremony!!! Horrible.

Whether it was a depiction of the Last Supper or not, the whole point for me was that so much of this Opening ceremony had nothing to do with the Olympics, the athletes, or France. Instead, it was more of a Drag / LGBTQ show.

I was a teacher for 25 years. I thought the entertainment was dark and not hopeful and scary for children. Children running through scary subways

Every people with every single religious or atheist background who hawe standard values were offended from this horrendeous performance. And as you've said, there was no parental rating for children. There were a men going upstairs with a woman kissing than as they entered a room there was another man, the woman was pushed aside and the two men started kissing, so it was chaotic.

As a Christian, I was offended. Had a church mocked their community, it would be an uproar. What does sports have to do with a drag show mocking Christian faith?

My brother and his wife do the best they can to raise their kids in the proper Christian way. They don’t force anything on anyone else, they don’t pass judgement. We were all together with my nieces and nephews watching the opening ceremony. We had to turn it off. My brother just turned to me, “is there anything we could watch as a family on cable anymore”. I honestly don’t think there is.
It is hard to find something on TV that is of some innosense. Even some of our family shows past and present can be a bit extra at times. #GoodDay/Night

As a Greek we don’t want the Olympic Games to be represented this way . I’m sure other some other countries feel the same as countries all around the world have come together to compete. France this is not a way to connect or represent Greece ancestry for starting the games . This has nothing to do with the last supper. It doesn't even look remotely like the last supper. The last supper is an Italian painting from the picture of Jesus and his 12 disciples celebrating pasach like good Jews have always done. Can you count?
