I was just cast as "Gary Coleman" at our local community theatre! I am very nervous and excited because I knew of the play from a few years back and never imagined performing in any version of it. LAWD help me! This is my first musical. Did I say, LAWDd HELP! Lmao
I can relate with Rod, as he loves Broadway musicals and Nickys always aggravating him about if he's gay or not, now I'm straight but I love musicals and my niece is always aggravating me lol
@@liukang85 they didn't specifically mute the crowd, they used microphones that are designed to block out sound in any direction other than where they're pointed. Pretty much any stage performance does that. If they wanted crowd noise they would have had to use another set of microphones pointed at the crowd. Also, it sounds to me like they edited down the bass to make the crowd less audible when it did get picked up, but that's just a guess.
@@TheZigzagmanI think there's a noise gate, compressor, and some EQ done to this audio in post. As for the audience, yeah, lav mics really don't let much else other than the speaker's voice through. The host's mic seems to be the mic that's also letting some of the crowd's audio through. The audience is slightly louder when he's on stage vs during the performances when his mic was not on stage.
There is such a thing as "too gay", Darren's a fine actor, I think he does a bit too much. The problem with Avenue Q is how so many people only see Rod as a "gay pwecious bean uwu" Just because Rod's gay that's not all there is to his character, he has layers. You wanna know who else makes a cute gay Rod, check out Ben Durocher.
Aww the hand lady has been part of Avenue Q since the beginning
Radagast hand lady😂
Jen Barnhart! She's gone on to become Zoe on Sesame Street (after Fran Brill retired).
I love how the second puppeteer for Nicky and Trekkie who doesn’t talk is showing the most emotion in the character.
She's got background in mime performance along with her acting and puppetry skills.
i love how both nickys puppeteers are doing the facial expressions
I love how Nicky finds Rod a boyfriend that's so sweet
Jennifer Barnhart completely steals the show! Love her!

Break a leg honey, you'll be fine
How'd it go? :D
Hey, how’d it go?
Hope it was a blast for you!

Butterfly Kisses but Rod is gay lol
woaaaaah. Gary Colman died? wtf?! I did nit know this. holly crap!
R.I.P. Gary. :(
the crowd is literally silent lol
edited out
This was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! I saw it this past weekend Jan/2015 and it was amazing! The best musical I have ever seen! Lori
Tough crowd.
Crowd was muted. That's why the audio sounds kind of weird and cramped.
@@TheZigzagman Why would they do that? I wondered why the audio sounded so weird...

the best part of avenue Q is the dichotomy between puppeteer and puppet
Yay! Just saw this show with (almost) this cast and it was SO awesome. You guys are so good at this!
urm... i just realised that nicky and rod are like the ernie and bert from sesamee street
and nicky sounds a little like ernie lol
SaAhMsAoNkTaHhA ThAoNO Bert and Ernie are inspirations of Nicky and Rod
Not only that. The dude that originally played Nicky was actually a puppeteer from sesame street.
Samhogo trekkie was inspired by cookie monster
@@EyeOfArgus There's a bit of Fozzie Bear in there, like if Eric Jacobson was Ernie instead of Bert. But I can hear Jen too.
I've always thought that
"What is your primary investment?"
"Porn."
Ok. xD
In a volatile market, the only smart investment is Porn!
***** true!
I read that when they said that 😂😂😂
Trekkie monster is the best
I also like the risks Avenue Q takes.
Yea
" I right hand everybody , I god thts good
oh wow Jennifer has been part of Avenue Q for a long time.
Me loved da bit 'bout Christmas EveNING.
Me too, you know if this were the OBC, I'd pick Kevin Clash to play Gary (because he got caught up in a sex scandal)
What is up with Christmas Eve's vibrato
Her vibrato is too slow, but it might that accent she is using or she's doing it on purpose.
purpose...
It's to make it melodramatic
*kate walks in*
Oh no... This is way too fitting for google
*music starts*
ITS TOO FITTING!!!
Saw Jason jacoby in this role on broadway
The question "What's the weirdest thing you've had to do with the puppets?" appear at 22:51
This just made my day today😁
Loooooooooove this!!!!!
''Internet is porn'' Its truth..
I wish they did something for every google+ comment section.
Why isn't anyone laughing
godking720 they are, but the sound is set up so you can't hear that much of it.
+Chris Bowman I hate that kind of stuff with comedy things, because it makes it awkward.
I agree
"this place needs to be burned to the ground" only if you're in the building when it topples, sweetie.
I need to see this here in Brasil...
Jason's face when he says "Porn," is priceless. lmao
dude, i feel so bad for the cast, no one is laughing, the show is hilarious:(
Nombre Original People are laughing in the background, they just edited the audio so you hear less of it.
Oh! Thank you! I had no idea akfbsjfj
They say Rod is supposed to be about 21 he looks more like 31
Every actor who plays Nicki is cute AF
Why are the lyrics of the songs omitted from the captions? Isn't the score part of the point?
Copyright laws
52:38 fanfic bait alert!! :-)
awsome
Veronica Kuehn looks exactly like Sarah Stiles and I could not tell them alike
And she sounds like an American Julie Atherton
11:52 looking at you Birt and Ernie
someone fiely told google the trueth
Is that girl playing Nicky’s arm from the OBC?
Meg C yep
open 12:35 for a surprise
Aren't Princeton and rod played by the same character?
They are, aren't they? In this one that is.
Lucy Song Princeton and Rod are the characters; the puppeteer is the same for both.
I think they have an extra guy backstage singing along, so they let him puppeteer the one puppet that’s not being used
Danny Preklas
Nah, if both puppets are in the same scene, the one actor sings for both, and the extra hand lip syncs to the one actor’s singing.
This Rod is the cutest and gayest Rod I have ever seen!
There is such a thing as "too gay", Darren's a fine actor, I think he does a bit too much. so the only original human cast member is jennifer barnhart?
Yup
They just want your data... want to know everything thing about you.. being a glass person, making a lot of money out of you... don't let them!
you had to make a google account to comment this lmao
Lmao oml
I miss the voice crack
Muppets rules
You have a really weird channel.
+Miguel thanks pal
Are you being sarcastic?
+Miguel. I love your channel.
Nice Nice just don't shake his hand 😷💦
wait that’s not John tartigila
emily sings why don’t we John tartaglia was a original member
The actor who plays Christmas Eve, is it a different one from the original actor?
nevermind, it's a differnent acotr
All of them are different from the original actor except for the lady who helps with Trekkie and Ricky's extra hands.
I don’t think you can make
Ah no, they gave rod a stereotypical gay voice, that doesn't really fit in with his awkwardness.
what the hell, i can see their mouths moving.
They're puppeteers, not ventriloquist's. :D
They are not venquilitist
The puppet partner is great! Hope she will avoid the dangling earrings next time. Very distracting.
