I was wondering at what point do you start doing tricks over a box? I've been riding for around 3 months, I can do some tricks like tailwhip, double whip, barspin etc and I can jump a box, but I don't have the confidence to do them while jumping a box. Any advice for that would be amazing.
I have a scooter since 2015. My local is realy bad and I dont go often so I practiced fingerwhip, doublewhip and some motions for kickless, bri and more whips flat. If I really want to go high on the boxjump I try it with a hipwhip. I can feel how kicky the box is. Then get some speed. First see how slow you can get up with both feet on the deck. Then just try a trick that you can do flat. And then push the speed to get more hight and better tricks 👍 And some kneepads help a lot. I recommend watching a video in how to fall correctly on them so you dont get hurt
learn how to catch your tricks while you’re still rising out of the clear, then as you’re coming down you can readjust your feet if you need to and spot the landing, the rest is just about sending it
Yeah, try catching your tricks or practice getting them (e.g. tailwhip) flat while moving, then I think you will be able to do tricks over the box. I recommend if your a bit nervous, put on some knee pads just in case. Good luck man 👍
