Thanks for the kind comments Martin and for taking the time to post them, glad you're enjoying the video's. Fingers crossed we'll have some new beach fishing episodes coming throughout the autumn and winter! :-)
Hello Chris and Steve, great to see you back on the beach again, always enjoy watching these, thoroughly enjoyed it . Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce these.
Welcome back mate! Been checking the last few months to see if you've posted up more videos. Keep at it mate. You'll soon catch up with one or two other channels
Excellent to see you guys back on the beach again, first started following your vlogs as they were sea fishing. Liked the cod quests you did a while back as well. Great to see you back on the beach, thanks for a great vlog.
Plenty of camera angles, well edited video, decent music and some artistic shots. likable guys.. pretty darn impressive pal! Your making some big channels out there look distinctly average.
Thanks for the kind comments and for taking the time to post them, glad you're enjoying the video's! We should have lots more to come. Hope your fishing is going well, tight lines, cheers Chris.
You took your time with this one, didn't you?! Listen, son, don't bother trying to come up with "nice ideas for videos". Just go out there, fish and film it. Give people explanations, tips, tricks and hints as you go along and if you blank, let them see that as well - it's life. Black lug and squid combo works for me - almost every time. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Haha, we did indeed mate... working full time and having a family etc means we don't always get the time A, to fish, B to film and C to finish and edit the video. Each one takes alot of time. Glad you enjoyed the video though and thanks for taking the time to comment. Hope your fishing is going well and that you've been catching a few! Tight lines, cheers Chris.
Good stuff! I used tp have dozens of frozen black in my freezer and would back the against fresh any time. They need to be smelly and sticky before they're frozen. Sadly had to dispose of them when i moved. Brilliant bait which lasts for years.
"Frozen Black...., The go anywhere worm" ..for those who live the high life and need a worm to fit any occasion .... ... from Calvin Klein .. 😊🤙🤙🤙 that made me smile man.. thanks for getting my ridiculous mind wandering from the crap of the day ....tight lines and thank you for the cool time and lessons 😆
Nice video. A couple of ideas I have thought of: Do the Roach shoal up on the Wensum in Norwich town centre in Winter? I know you have done the videos for Chub at Lenwade, but it would be interesting to see some fishing in the lower reaches. pole / breadpunch etc. Second Idea; I heard of a lot of people using ox heart \ liver etc instead of worms when fishing for dabs / whiting in winter. Would be interested to see this.
Good comparison, very informative for beginners, I my self always have a 3 or 4 packet of frozen black lug with a packet of squid in my tackle box wen I am out for fishing they smell quite good with mix of squid good for conger ell or cod even bass some times
Never underestimate frozen bait !!! twenty years ago I fished a whole winter season with frozen mussel !!( east Yorkshire , Hornsea Atwick Skipsea) thanks to whipping elastic I did great !! every species on bloody cheap bait !! just want to say hello and thanks for your great Vids !!
Thanks for the kind comments Patrick Smith glad you enjoyed the video! I know what you're saying about the frozen, I have no worries using frozen crab for the bass and smoothound in the spring/summer!
i also use the black ones, frozen or fresh if they are available. i also only use them in fall/winter time. great for codlings, flatfish and weiting. i usually use cut them into 3-4 parts depending on the length and then combine it with razorclam or the standard sea worm bait.
Yeah i have been catching a few these days, i eat at least 2 days of the week my own caught fish :-) You should try Razorclam in combination with worms or the black ones in a winterfishing session. razorclams should be set tight with elastic though. when you open the clam, remove everything except the white meat of the clam and set that as bait. i have caught seabass, codlings, flatfish, weiting and big crabs with it
I absolutely love kessinglands beach have so many good memories of me and my mum and dad beach fishing there nearly every weekend when I was younger, my mum's biggest cod came from there just over 14lb and some monster sole which we use to give the owner of the holiday site well my dad did for free beer in the clubhouse lol they were the days
Really interesting & helpful. Usually use frozen black because don't live near the sea so getting bait for early starts can be a problem. Never much luck down in Suffolk with it. Fresh yellowtail black very popular up in the NW where I used to live. Many thanks for the video. I always really enjoy them!
Thanks for the kind comments as always Wendy, glad you enjoyed the video! Hope your fishing is going well and that you've been catching a few! :-) Tight lines, cheers Chris.
Another great video which brought back many memories of my beach fishing trips. The sound of the waves almost had me smelling the sea. Whilst I have fished Kessingland I always preferred Pakefield below the Rifle Range especially after an Easterly gale when the cod would move in close and yes always used fresh Lug. September and October for the Whiting shoals then November onwards for the Cod.
Thanks Alec, glad you enjoyed the video! :-) Ahhh I haven't fished Pakefield in a few years now, but used to catch a good few fish from there when I was younger! Perhaps I might have to re-visit it at some point! Hope your fishing is going well, tight lines, cheers Chris.
Cheers for the kind comments Sion and for taking the time to post them, glad you enjoyed the video. Hope your fishing is going well, tight lines, cheers Chris.
Hi Chris if you use fresh black it's hard to beat use smelly frozen black for any flatly s it's great but I always think if someone give me fresh food or frozen I would always eat the fresh food first some people don't care what they eat so fish must be the same but for me fresh if you can get it always I think 💭 has the edge
Hi Neil, I think you're right, I'd love to use the fresh blacks but we just really struggle to get them around here! It'd have to be a mail order job I think! Hope you're catching a few fish! Cheers Chris :-)
Thanks for the kind comments Scott, glad you enjoyed the video. Thats it... whatever we catch or film, me and Steve always have a good laugh doing it! Tight lines and good luck with your fishing, cheers Chris.
Interesting Gabriel, I know it lasts longer and have used it with squid in wraps for bigger fish. I know alot of people love the frozen black lug for flatties and that though. It probably differs on different parts of the country tho! Anyway, hope your fishing is going well.
Nice one guys. Haven't been beach fishing for a long time. You might have inspired me now. Although sometimes i think it would be better to leave the lug in the ground for the sake of a few dabs and whiting. Still all good fun. While we ever see another cod run i wonder.
Thanks for the kind comments David, glad you enjoyed the video! Haha, pick a nice day and get out there and give it a go! Even if its just for the fresh air and relaxation. :-) Cheers Chris.
I use a bait needle that your hook attaches to while you put your black lug on. I have had 2lb Dabs on them, I would seriously look in continental rods for your area. I think your catch rate would go up.
Yes mate, I use baiting needles too, especially when using big black lug and squid bait, it can make it easier to bind things together. Continental rods have certainly increased in popularity over the past few years... I'm not sure if I fancy them or not! Haha.
Hi Chris, great to see You back on the beach and more of it please👍 Great video as always. What rods are You using as You are getting good distance at Your ease?
Cheers Donal, should have a few more video's to come! I'm using a pair of Greys GRX-s rods, there pretty old now though and discontinued... need to upgrade really!
Great videos Chris Im no expert in fact just getting back into fishing again, but instead of breaking the frozen lug in half I fold my in half wrap some bait elastic around it then bait up.What do you think ?
Hi Terry, thanks for the kind comments, glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah that'd work... there's a few different ways you can present the bait. Just make sure you leave the hook point exposed. Hope you've been catching a few fish :-)
Great to view your video again Chris, I've only used the frozen blacks once and I only caught 1 Dab, saying that - they reckon the Beach I fished only fishes at Night, And I caught him just before dark on my last cast. Its hard to find a decent place to dig lug around Cork, I got a few yesterday aswell as a few Rag, so will give it a go tomorrow. Can anyone on here tell me about using Pumps for Lug? Anyway, looking forward to some more, cheers
Loved it FTWE best on RUclips and as an allrounder I get best of both worlds sea and course. Well done Chris good session. I’m feeder fishing tomorrow but fishing evening tide during the week as where I live it fishes better in the evening.
Thanks for the kind comments Barry and for taking the time to post them, glad you're enjoying the video's. :-) Good luck with your fishing, hope you manage to get amongst a few!
The First fishing channel I subscribed to ! Great videos as per norm ! You and the other fella likeable guys ! Peace : ) : ) love the sea fishing VIDS the best ! I hope you go after big cod off the beach through Winter !!!
They are indeed Matt, we've caught some really small one's on film, especially on the 'How Light Can You Go' & 'Feeder Fishing From The Beach' episodes. Cheers Chris.
I haven't, I'd like to visit one day though! Your fishing, especially saltwater looks mega... am sure it'd be a little warmer and sunnier than the UK too! :-D Hope you're catching a few fish! Tight lines, cheers Chris.
That's what makes this sport so interesting. Everyone has a different opinion and on any given day one or the other can be working. There's no "right" way to do anything.
From The Waters Edge TV not really but then again frozen blacks are not a regular choice of baits lol it's a confidence thing it works with my carp fishing, but around the south Wales coast unless your a mountaineer good marks are thin on the ground
Perhaps next time try fresh and frozen on the same rod rather than different rods then see fresh or frozen. Have you been watching Graeme on the totally awesome fishing show? He posted the black ones just a few days ago! That's the TA Fishing show! Every Friday 7pm without fail.
From The Waters Edge TV You also do a great job with your channel. The only thing difference really, other than the mad humour from TA is the frequency of the videos. Keep them coming.
Yes Anne, they do a mega job uploading so regularly, unfortunately we just don't get the time working full time and having a family etc (each one of ours is also very time consuming!) Glad you enjoy them when we do upload though. :-)
Wonder what the result would have been it the baits had been the other way round have often found the lefthand rod out fishes the righthand one on the ebb & the other way round on the flood if fished same rigs bait distance.May have been a lot closer.
I think the black lug will do better I have used it quite regular and I catch a few nice cod on it I fish the River Hull regular Makro and black logo my combo I buy my black book in bulk I pay £1.50 for 10 lens I buy them in bulk it's cheaper but yeah let's see what happens
Gutting lungworm is the dumbest thing iv ever heard of and seen in 36yrs fishing. They do it because of the blood from damaged worms, yet they are getting frozen anyway. Makes zero sense.
Great video as usual . But that frozen black is some of the poorest quality I've ever seen . Freshly frozen black looks nothing like what you was using , it wouldn't be sticky black snot it would look like how it was when it was first put in the freezer . Unfortunately most frozen black is old rotten stuff that was well past its fresh state and unable to be sold so then its frozen instead of being binned so no wonder it gets a bad rep and has poorer results, proper stuff is frozen the day it was dug/pumped . .Your fresh lug was top quality stuff fished against a very very poor quality black lugworm so as the session progressed the thawed out crappy black got more rotten and more useless hence the early catch then nothing later . Results would be more even if both baits were of equal quality and each individual worm was taken from the cool bag when required not just all of it glooped together rotting away in the bait tray . Although I think the fresh would still be the better catcher but only just . Love your vids though great work
Thanks for the kind comments mate and glad you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately here in Norfolk not many tackle shops have good quality blacks, either fresh or frozen!
Good video but please put the fish back at a lower height, the scale height must be like you jumping off a multi story car park, fish are more fragile than you think
Such hard work, expense and effort for such small catch from a guy who is obviously proficient . I suppose it's about the enjoyment which I follow as a lifelong angler. Wish we could wind back the clock.
I know what you mean arthur... it can be like that sometimes! The bad sessions certainly out weigh the good ones... the spring/summer fishing is better than the winter fishing now unfortunately... we haven't really had any decent cod fishing around our coast for the past couple of years.
Once You could catch loads of cod off Kessingland. I've fished there - not for years now. It's been gutting to see the fishing destroyed by overfishing and EEC crap. I would love to catch good cod off the beach again. Not much chance of that!
You seem to miss the point, it is all about being out and about. Yes its harder to catch big fish these days. However my man here (no slight to you Chris but I think if he could could cast further) I think he would catch bigger fish. I personally have been catching 10LB+ Spurdogs and 5LB Spotted Rays. Which I have enjoyed very much
Haha, no worries Damian Owens I don't disagree... our winter fishing has been very poor the last couple of years. I've been to Norway about half a dozen times through the years, is an unbelievable place... would love to film over there one day!
From The Waters Edge TV now there's a great idea for a great video, it's very hard fishing they UK when you have been to Norway! My next trip is lofoten 2019 for the big coalies with big plaice as a bonus 👍
Tell me about it Damian Owens... when I returned it took me a while to get over it! I've been to Soroya catching the big Skrie Cod and to Havoysund for the Hailbut. Once you've been there catching small Whiting from the beach just doesn't cut it! Haha.
they are not" dug or pumped "----- blow lug are dug ,blacks and yellow tails are dug or pumped, you stated blow lug are dug or pumped -------,get your basics right if your going to do vids
El Gringo I just googled it and looked on WSF (world sea fishing forum) and it appears some people have/do pump blow lug... Altho digging is generally more effective. Thanks for the detailed info tho 👍🏼
blow lug live in a u shaped hole were blacks live in a straight hole plus blacks are probs around 30% water were blow are around 80% water the pressure of pumping blow destroys them ,
your telling folk that blow lug are pumped ---so a angler goes out spends £50 on a pump on the strength that your telling him he can pump blow lug ,so thats £50 wasted ,,,,,why not just get your facts right in the first place
El Gringo I'm not sure anyone would take that 2 second bit as gospel without doing a little more research. If they did I'd apologise - but then saying that, as I said it appears people have pumped blow lug before, even though digging is more effective. Anyway I don't want to argue anymore, I just found your first comment extremely rude, which is why I felt the need to reply.
the reason they rip apart is because blow is over 90% water were blacks and yellows are only around 30% water ,blow lug bursts when put under the pressure of pumping
El gringo I'll have you know that it is blow lug yellow lug and black lug on my local beach and can pump the lot black is by far the best to pump out of the three but it is still very possible to pump yellow and blow, enuff of the 30percent water bulls**t
Your videos are awesome mate. Would like to see more beach fishing videos.
Thanks for the kind comments as always Neil Etherington, glad you enjoyed it! 👍🏼
Great to watch. I always combo frozen with fish/squid,it out fishes the fresh every time down here.
Thanks for the kind comments mate and for taking the time to post them! Glad you enjoyed the video. :-) Hope you've been catching a few fish!
Good to see you back on the beach and enjoying your sport.
Thanks Sie!

great video guys.
kessingland was one of the first places I ever went fishing.
Thanks.
Thanks for the kind comments mate, glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers Chris.

I love your beach fishing Videos. Thanks for taking the time to make.
Thanks mate and no worries at all, we should have a few more to come!
Nice video. A couple of ideas I have thought of:
Do the Roach shoal up on the Wensum in Norwich town centre in Winter? I know you have done the videos for Chub at Lenwade, but it would be interesting to see some fishing in the lower reaches. pole / breadpunch etc.
Second Idea; I heard of a lot of people using ox heart \ liver etc instead of worms when fishing for dabs / whiting in winter. Would be interested to see this.
phy7dop thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! Couple of nice ideas there too, an sure we can look into both of them! 😊
More beach! Great stuff
Cheers Daniel, should have a few more coming throughout this winter! :-)
Another good beach video, keep them coming.
Cheers Sam!
great to see you back excellent video
Cheers carl eatwell glad you enjoyed it! 😊👍🏼
Good comparison, very informative for beginners, I my self always have a 3 or 4 packet of frozen black lug with a packet of squid in my tackle box wen I am out for fishing they smell quite good with mix of squid good for conger ell or cod even bass some times
Thanks for the kind comments mate, glad you enjoyed the video. :-)
I know what you're saying about the frozen, I have no worries using frozen crab for the bass and smoothound in the spring/summer!
great vid ,fished that beech 40 years ago, great beech had all sort,s of fish, cod up to 15lb,and big whiting,
Thanks Michael, glad you enjoyed the video :-) It is a nice bit of beach, had a decent amount of Codling there over the years too.
i also use the black ones, frozen or fresh if they are available.
i also only use them in fall/winter time. great for codlings, flatfish and weiting.
i usually use cut them into 3-4 parts depending on the length and then combine it with razorclam or the standard sea worm bait.
Nice one mate! I hope you've been catching a few fish? :-) I've never used Razorclam, but I bet its a nice cocktail bait when used with worm.
Yeah i have been catching a few these days, i eat at least 2 days of the week my own caught fish :-)
You should try Razorclam in combination with worms or the black ones in a winterfishing session.
razorclams should be set tight with elastic though. when you open the clam, remove everything except the white meat of the clam and set that as bait.
i have caught seabass, codlings, flatfish, weiting and big crabs with it
I absolutely love kessinglands beach have so many good memories of me and my mum and dad beach fishing there nearly every weekend when I was younger, my mum's biggest cod came from there just over 14lb and some monster sole which we use to give the owner of the holiday site well my dad did for free beer in the clubhouse lol they were the days
Nice one Peter! Fingers crossed we should be filming there again soon! :-)

Enjoyable video as always, I’ve been last week at GoldCliff it was nice sunny 🌞 day but no fish 🐠 at all, good luck next time
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed the video!
Paused, fresh is best in my opinion but frozen lug is better than no lug. great vid well enjoyed
Cheers for the kind comments Sion and for taking the time to post them, glad you enjoyed the video. Hope your fishing is going well, tight lines, cheers Chris.
Down here in Brighton Sussex fresh blacks are great bait and descent frozen black equally good but lug like yours is virtually impossible to source
We're the other way round Derek, we really struggle to source the fresh blacks... I think they'd be a mega bait... only used them a few times!
Hahahaah Chris is the king of whiting!
Love the Whiting! :-D
Hi Chris if you use fresh black it's hard to beat use smelly frozen black for any flatly s it's great but I always think if someone give me fresh food or frozen I would always eat the fresh food first some people don't care what they eat so fish must be the same but for me fresh if you can get it always I think 💭 has the edge

another good video mate keep up the good work fully enjoyed it it's not about Big Fish it's about just enjoying yourself
Thanks for the kind comments Scott, glad you enjoyed the video. Thats it... whatever we catch or film, me and Steve always have a good laugh doing it! Tight lines and good luck with your fishing, cheers Chris.
Please sort them rings out ur line is gonna be chaffed . Great test well done 👍
I know Radar Anglers I really should! An actual looking at some new rods... had those years now... there rather bartered!
I find that frozen isn't liked so much by the smaller fish and lasts longer on the hook, but bigger stuff like cod enjoy it just fine.
Interesting Gabriel, I know it lasts longer and have used it with squid in wraps for bigger fish. I know alot of people love the frozen black lug for flatties and that though. It probably differs on different parts of the country tho! Anyway, hope your fishing is going well.

Nice vid again, think you need to get that eye repaired on the rod though, the shock leader knot loves a broken eye
Thanks Jason and yes... I do indeed need to get it fixed! I'm actually thinking about getting some new rods... had these one's years now!
Happy christmas guys.
Looking forward to next years fishing.
:)
Happy Christmas to you too and thanks! Good luck for 2018, hope it's fish filled for us all! :-D
Would be good to see fresh Vs freshly salted baits dude 🤘
Good shout mate! We'll add it to our list. 😁
Haha.
Surely it depends on what would be natural to that area?
Float fishing is where it’s at. Never done bottoming
We'd struggle to float fish around our part of the country! I'm sure it'd be good fun to try it though. :-)
I wonder what the frozen would have done under darkness on a high tide?
Under darkness, big spring tide... my favourite conditions! Am sure both would have performed better under this scenario.
Great video. What bucket do you use been looking everywhere for a twin one
Cheers Russel. I'm not 100% sure... I've had it years! Might have been an old Lemco one possibly!
Fresh
Good shout! :-)
Well done Chris I will be doing a rag vs lug video in a few weeks
Nice one mate, good luck with the next video, I look forward to watching it! :-)
From The Waters Edge TV but are you subscribed 😂
Great videos Chris Im no expert in fact just getting back into fishing again, but instead of breaking the frozen lug in half I fold my in half wrap some bait elastic around it then bait up.What do you think ?

Nice vid mate, good to see you back. Lug v Mackie would be quite an interesting watch.
Cheers Doug, glad you enjoyed the video. Lug v Mackerel would be interesting!
Cheers Clive, should have a few more video's on the way before the end of the year! :-)
try the beach
Just out of interest, each time u reeled in were the dabs both taken on the bottom hook n whiting on top?cheers
I can't remember without looking mate, although it wouldn't surprise me if they were! :-)
Great vid was just wondering what are your favourite commercials in Norfolk?
Cheers Its RewindZz glad you enjoyed it. Favourite commercials would probably be Reepham and Barford.
Bet mackerel would have out fished both for whiting.
It might well have done Alex, often picks out the better ones too!
The First fishing channel I subscribed to ! Great videos as per norm ! You and the other fella likeable guys ! Peace : ) : ) love the sea fishing VIDS the best ! I hope you go after big cod off the beach through Winter !!!
Thanks Daniel Haddon glad you enjoyed the video and the channel! Fingers crossed we should have lots more to come! Hope your fishing is going well!
what shock leader knot do you tie ?, is it mono to mono your using
Yeah its mono to mono, I don't know the actual name of it! I'll try and find out for you though. :-)
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV ok thank you very much mate
Always love the sea fishing videos, keep it up👍🏻
Thanks Nic, should have lots more to come this year! :-)
Frozen I think but what do I know only been fishing for a week..lol
Haha, good luck with your fishing Andy! :-)
Shame it's not a true comparison, I would have put money on the blow lug winning by some margin unless dabs were the quarry.
What would a true comparison have been Mark? Fresh black lug?
Some of those whiting are monsters compared to some of the ones you've caught in past videos.
They are indeed Matt, we've caught some really small one's on film, especially on the 'How Light Can You Go' & 'Feeder Fishing From The Beach' episodes. Cheers Chris.
Great video, we need more beach content :)
Cheers James! Hope your fishing is going well and that you've been catching a few! Tight lines, cheers Chris.
Fresh will always beat frozen.
I always prefer fresh Michael!
Great stuff and very interesting
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for taking the time to comment. :-)
Lug v Rag? Would be good
Thats a good shout mate, perhaps it's something we can look at this autumn! :-)
Great vid more beach please
Thanks Phil_Insane glad you enjoyed it! We should have a few more coming out over the next few months. 😊👍🏼🎣
Live worms
i think the frozen one will work better.
nice one mate . tell me when you next at hayling island fishing . ?
Cheers Dave! I'm not sure, it's a mega trek for us!
Fantastic upload really enjoyed that I think a trip to Dungerness is going to happen soon thanks 👍
Thanks for the kind comments mate, glad you enjoyed the video! I'd love to visit Dungeness one day... proper famous Cod beach! :-D
missed the vids chris, nice vid this one
No worries at all, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to comment. Cheers Chris.
Another superb video. It would be great if you could do some shots of the bites/rattles on the rod tips.
Cheers mate, thanks for the feedback too. :-)
Awesome vid again dude welldone
Thanks HCR Fishing glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to drop us a comment!
Are there a lot of crabs?
Yes mate, there can be at times!
Have you ever been to Australia? We have worms that actual bite but a great bait. They are called beach worms and sort of freak me out lol
Dr Red Pill, they are called rag worm in the UK and they live in the mud
I haven't, I'd like to visit one day though! Your fishing, especially saltwater looks mega... am sure it'd be a little warmer and sunnier than the UK too! :-D Hope you're catching a few fish! Tight lines, cheers Chris.
Fresh always seems better to me
Me too mate! Reactions seem quite mixed though, with people preferring different baits. :-)
That's what makes this sport so interesting. Everyone has a different opinion and on any given day one or the other can be working. There's no "right" way to do anything.
I'd always use frozen sticky blacks for dabs.....the stickier the better 😉
Haha, nice one Mark, I'll definitely give them another go!
🎣🎣🎣👍🏻
Great video
Cheers John, glad you enjoyed it! :-)
I inject frozen blacks with different oils to help with scents
Andy Ward, liar liar pants on fire
That sounds interesting Andy, have you caught plenty of fish doing that?
From The Waters Edge TV not really but then again frozen blacks are not a regular choice of baits lol it's a confidence thing it works with my carp fishing, but around the south Wales coast unless your a mountaineer good marks are thin on the ground
@@bertythemod carp like black lug?
What rods are you using here
Greys GRX-s rods. I think they've been discontinued now.
Do more sea videos
We should have more to come throughout this year Mason. :-)
Perhaps next time try fresh and frozen on the same rod rather than different rods then see fresh or frozen. Have you been watching Graeme on the totally awesome fishing show? He posted the black ones just a few days ago! That's the TA Fishing show! Every Friday 7pm without fail.
Hi Anne, yeah I often watch the TA Fishing show, especially the sea fishing episodes. Graeme and Mike do a top job!
I think fresh worm
Good guess Charlie! :-) Hope you enjoyed the video.
What is the name of your sea rod chris ?
Hi Scott, it's the Greys GRX-s model, it's about 10 years old tho... I think they've been discontinued now!
Can you not get them anywhere then ?
I'm not too sure to be honest mate. Perhaps if you had a look round on Ebay or something you might be able too.
This is going to sound weird but I live Suffolk and I was wondering if you would tag along some time and hit the water with me
Can I ask what rods you ues ??
Greys GRX-s rods.
Wonder what the result would have been it the baits had been the other way round have often found the lefthand rod out fishes the righthand one on the ebb & the other way round on the flood if fished same rigs bait distance.May have been a lot closer.
Possibly Peter, worth further investigation I reckon!
I think the black lug will do better I have used it quite regular and I catch a few nice cod on it I fish the River Hull regular Makro and black logo my combo I buy my black book in bulk I pay £1.50 for 10 lens I buy them in bulk it's cheaper but yeah let's see what happens
Nice one Scott!
no rilis
Gutting lungworm is the dumbest thing iv ever heard of and seen in 36yrs fishing. They do it because of the blood from damaged worms, yet they are getting frozen anyway. Makes zero sense.
Mint video as always lads, long time coming 🎣 keep em coming, is the cod quest on this year? Tight lines Si
Thanks as always Simon, glad you enjoyed it and cheers for dropping us a comment!
Paused 4:14 mins.....i believe fresh baits will catch more fish
Nice one!
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video! Feedback noted to, cheers Chris.
Which I have enjoyed very much
Fishing isn't always about catching it's about being out by the sea the way I look at it if you catch it's a bonus regardless
Video paused I am saying BLANK! h well no blank why are you wearing waders if you are not wading out to cast?
Just because they keep me warm and dry. Also if I do need to wade out a little way I can.
A whiting
Always Whiting Caroline! :-D
Fresh blow lug for me 👍
When you smack the black worm on the floor it well move
These ones won't Bob Sorry as they're frozen (so dead). The fresh blacks will do though, they sorta tense up.
Sorry mate nothing personal, but how shit is UK shore fishing? Dabs and pins! Save your dosh and get to Norway mate. Ps fresh is always best 👍
But we in the UK can go for a beer afterwards without having to take out a bank loan.
Haha, no worries Damian Owens I don't disagree... our winter fishing has been very poor the last couple of years. I've been to Norway about half a dozen times through the years, is an unbelievable place... would love to film over there one day!
Haha! That's very true Twirlyhead... think it cost me about £8-10 a pint when I was out there last! 😳
Haha.
1 min in and your talking bollocks ,blow lug are dug not pumped ,blacks and yellow tails are pumped
Sorry El Gringo I thought I said they're either dug or pumped?! Apologies if that minor detail has ruined the video for you 😂
they are not" dug or pumped "----- blow lug are dug ,blacks and yellow tails are dug or pumped, you stated blow lug are dug or pumped -------,get your basics right if your going to do vids
El Gringo I just googled it and looked on WSF (world sea fishing forum) and it appears some people have/do pump blow lug... Altho digging is generally more effective. Thanks for the detailed info tho 👍🏼
blow lug live in a u shaped hole were blacks live in a straight hole plus blacks are probs around 30% water were blow are around 80% water the pressure of pumping blow destroys them ,
i have no problem with you filming your fishing ,but if your going to give out information make sure you know your facts
If the fish is there I don’t think fresh or frozen matters
Good shout iMeeky_ I think that when using Peeler in the summer for the Hounds!
From The Waters Edge TV hardbacks are worth a shot
your telling folk that blow lug are pumped ---so a angler goes out spends £50 on a pump on the strength that your telling him he can pump blow lug ,so thats £50 wasted ,,,,,why not just get your facts right in the first place
65 quid I payed for my pump and it's payed for its self in blow lug. No trouble very place I've dug blow ive pumped so keep your bulls**t to your self
blowlug live in a u shaped hole and rip apart when pumped ,what ever you have pumped aint blow
the reason they rip apart is because blow is over 90% water were blacks and yellows are only around 30% water ,blow lug bursts when put under the pressure of pumping
El gringo I'll have you know that it is blow lug yellow lug and black lug on my local beach and can pump the lot black is by far the best to pump out of the three but it is still very possible to pump yellow and blow, enuff of the 30percent water bulls**t
A little bit better when you eat your sandwiches lol.
Haha, it's true Stuart Austin can't be having ham and black lugworm sarnies! 😂
From The Waters Edge TV I dunno, you ain't tasted my wife's sandwiches lol
Haha! Comment of the day Stuart Austin 😂
I love your beach fishing Videos. Thanks for taking the time to make
Cheers mate. :-)
