Hey Roger! I just wanted to drop by and say how much I love your fishing videos. They are always packed with energy and incredibly informative. What sets you apart is your simple yet practical teaching style. It's refreshing to see someone break down complex techniques into easy-to-understand steps. I have personally learned so much from you, especially when it comes to Beach Worming. Thanks to your guidance, I've been able to catch a wide variety of species using worms as bait. For anyone interested in fishing, I highly recommend checking out Roger's Beachworming Master Class. It's a game-changer! You'll learn how to catch beach worms, a skill that even many experienced anglers lack. Keep up the fantastic work, Roger!
Hi Roger, I loved to watch your video. It's so much things to learn. I would say you're one very lucky man who live in such a place where you fish and caught so many fishes. In my place, the fishes are all very small and not many from the beach. Thanks for the sharing.
Really enjoyed the vid l’ve used beach worms and pippies in the surf with a good result. I couldn’t work out where you were but a nice clean beach, l fish in Victoria around Kilkunda and the 90 mile beach.
I would think that like others who follow your channel, find the “educational” components of your videos most informative. Due to physical limitations, I am unable to be able to catch beach worms myself yet really enjoy your presentation of the process of worming. Some lovely fish taken in that session. Thanks for sharing Roger.
This is the fishing spot that my friend and I rerurn to once a year. Great videos Roger and very educational, new anglers learned a lot to your videos❤
Thanks for the vids Roger, I myself have been worming since i was a kid, I enjoy it as much as fishing , it certainly is an art and takes practice , but once mastered is a life long skill which you never loose
The WA herring do look very similar to the juvenile salmon almost hard to tell the difference but if you look at there pupils on the eyes the herring have a much larger pupil than the juvenile salmon but once the salmon get bigger they look quite a bit different... the West Australian salmon also get a fair bit bigger than the salmon on the east coast too
Great videoRoger, as a lady fisher person have learnt so much, particularly about the beach where I also fish… and all about the habits of beach worms.
You taught me so much about fishing roger , you are like the grandpa I never met ! thank you for everything and the highquality videos , keep on rockin !
Hi Roger. I'm from South Africa. I've been watching you for a month now, and I see all the mistakes I've been making. I will go fishing again and take your advice. I will keep you posted. Your posts are fantastic. I'm encouraged to go fishing again. I'm also gonna try catching beach worms. Im in Durban. I've never caught beach worms. So I'll keep you posted. Keep up the great vidoes. I'm really enjoying it. 👍
This method beats digging by far. Not as exhausting and probably more productive. I will have to give it try, especially with worm price going up every season. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Love the first world problems of too many fish on both rods at once. Thanks to watching your videos, I, too, suffer from the same fishing experiences. Love your content Roger. 👍
You can buy pre-made 1, 2 and 3 hook rigs that clip the baits down to gain further distance. We use these all the time in the uk 🇬🇧 especially for delicate worm baits like your beach worms, our ragworms. Normally around £3 but you’d have to factor in postage to Oz.
Roger, great videos and very educational. Q. Is there any difference in beach worm activity in summer compared to winter? Is summer better? Or can you catch them for bait all year around, same Q for nippers?
Hi mate very relaxing video I like fishing a lot. What beach are you at south coast. I use to fish at North Wollongong. Keep up great videos don’t fish now medical conditions.
WA viewer here, yes, Salmon and Herring look similar, alot of people do get confused, some people call juvinile Salmon, Salmon Trout, when they are the same size as herring they look pretty identical, the top of the herring is more blue and the top of Salmon more yellow, i've fished since i could walk so i don't get confused but i can see how people would. Also i feel like the Salmon must be bigger once they migrate to WA for breeding as the big one you caught i'd consider pretty standard.
Howdy Rodger . just a question about your deadliest killer rig , i visited my local BCF shop and paid there weeks rent ,when i got home i realized that i bought the wrong hooks . i got the Gamakatsu circle hooks in 4/0 are these still alright to use or should i go get the right ones !!!!
Goodo a friend and I are thinking about taking a couple of lessons in the basic beach fishing .How to read a beach and how to find beach worms etc. Is there a a fee and booking time line thankyou for getting back to me .
I chase worms about 6 beaches south of where Roger lives and the funny thing is that I have a completely different technique (also fingers, also successful) I’ve tried to mimic what Roger does but can’t even get close to catching a worm - they sense my fingers going into the sand and bugger off. Looks like I’ll have to stick to the ‘first knuckle’ method for now.
Hi I have been fishing for years and have moved into the Newcastle region and not caught much at all and my wife is ready to leave me with the amount of money I have spent to try and catch fish i have spent thousands of dollars on gear. And taken all the information you have given but ready to sell everything.
10% of the fishers catch 90% of the fish, so you are in the majority. Feel better now? Talk to that 10% and get some clues, if they are willing to talk.
@@RogerOsborneFishing you are a legend sir. I salute you you are a true angler. if you don't mind please give us some tips how to have productive fun times when fishing during this winter chill especially in Sydney and NSW ? e.g best times, baits , hard body lure soft plastics , how to retrieve etc thanks
Hi Roger, Thanks for the great video. Question: How do you spot the current? Is it easy to spot and determine its direction? As you mentioned in your video on the minute 7:25
Save you feet and fuel. Go to google maps, hit satellite, and follow your chosen coast. Learn to watch the waves break. They do that for a reason. If you detect an off shore rock where the waves keep breaking, aim for it. You may lose a few hooks in the kelp, but such places hold fish. Using circle hooks in those places will reduce your hook losses, and also reduce the amount of fish that manage to self-release.
Thanks for the great videos Roger. I’ve shared them widely among my mates. Just wondering if you have any suggestions for catching worms when you have bad knees and lower back. As a 6’4 ex footy player, both my knees and back are pretty ordinary so getting down to ground height for extended periods is pretty tough going. I still haven’t managed to catch my first worm. I’ve got some mad ideas in my head about extension gripper type things but just wondering if you’ve seen any realistic options for broken down old blokes like me. 😊
hi sir hope u okay plz i wana ask u ths beach worm is all over the world ? im from south africa and i am n0t sure south africa also have ths beach wormz plz assit me wil b glad thnx

Don't be afraid to put plenty of bend in the rod when you cast, and use the maximum weight that your rod is rated for, to get maximum distance. When waves hit a beach, the water has to drain somewhere, you can usually spot it pretty easily by eye

Hi, Roger.
