Come spend the weekend on our Aussie homestead. Today we are introducing some new animals onto our homestead, harvesting what is growing in abundance, preserving and cooking many delicious treats. And enjoy the slow living of the country side. We are an Australian couple homesteading on the south-coast of New South Wales, and we love inspiring others to live a simple life that is connected with nature and food.

Wetting your hands before the stretch and fold helps keep them clean, dough likes to stick to dough. I love your new chickens. ❤ i'm thrilled someone makes worcestershire sauce, i'm inspired.

Welcome sweet hens. They are cuties. The rhubarb looked great mate. Zucchini will be nice. You are going to be one busy women with all those ambitions. Your facial expression when needing your sour dough Di was so satisfying. I love the new coup it looks awesome. So much dust bathing going on there it must have been great weather. She’s a great mum with her chicks. I’m sure the hens were happy they paid enough for their rent lol. Great update on the books. Nice to see you enjoying the homestead especially after the resent events. Nothing better than a crispy crust. Great video mate thanks.

I read milk wood and the good life also. Love them both. Also love a book called Basics the complete collection from woman’s weekly. As it’s heaps of basic tips and tricks to get the best flavour and have multiple foods from one recipe

It’s known as a butternut. It’s also fine to simply call it “Worcester” sauce. I refer to it as “Worcester-sha” sauce when I use the full name. You probably got no eggs because with the extra six chooks, they’re overcrowded in their little coop. Hoping you’ll have enlarged it by now. Great to see more people taking to the land! 👨‍🌾💫

If you lightly wet your hands and your bench before handling the sourdough it will help prevent it from sticking. :)

Thank you for your video. I was really interested in how you froze your rhubarb. Is that a plastic pencil case?

What was the stuff in the reddish bag you put in the whorchestershire sauce? What's treacle? Is it like molasses? We don't have that in Canada 🇨🇦😎😊

I think you might need more flour in your sourdough? It looks too thin and wet I think
